2014 Ford Kuga 1.6 transmission fluid change COMPLETE process #Unijack #Mercon LV #OBDLink MX+
In this video, I drained my 2014 Ford Kuga transmission fluid and filled it. This is a COMPLETE process coz this included the initial fill, initial oil level measurement/ check. Then hot measurement with proper car level method. For safety consideration, a 2T Unijack has been bought. For transmission fluid temperature check, an OBDLink MX+ was used (both original software or Forscan was fine to do so).
All tools used has been described at the beginning of this video.

    Its because the ABS unit is looking for all wheels to be spinning at a similar rate. if one wheel spins then the count from the sensor on that wheel will be different than the others, hence an alarm state! Theres just too many sensors on vehicles these days. Brake warning sensor for low brake fluid "YES" but different rates between wheels? Overkill. There is also way too many audible alarms on vehicles, like you open the door and the car beeps at you to tell you the door is open! What should be available on all vehivles is the ability to turn the audible alarms down, actually it should be mandated!.

      Both water and coolant contain dissolved gasses that are driven out below the engine operating temperature producing high pressure. For safety reasons, when these hot gasses release, a hose directs them downwards to ground level. This only vents EXCESS pressure, so it does NOT make it safe to remove the bottle cap when the engine is hot.

    • @snapsuml8796

      If there is some abnormal smell, can check any oil leak signs and symptoms. Is coolant temperature normal? can remove the splash guard to check under the engine compartment. In addition, u can have a look from my other vdo ab 'cowl panel and valve cover inspection'. For my case, there shouldn't be other immediate problem. However, it's not sure other problem can be caused as the valve is connecting to the coolant passage.

  • @michaellui3143
    @michaellui3143 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello, Thanks for the video. I recently have the same problem. Can I just remove the engine light by using OBD tool without really replacing a new coolant bypass valve? (I understood this is not a proper way to solve the problem, but my situation was below: 1. the same engine light appeared 2. I use OBD tool tool to scan the car, also can see the DTC P26B7 code. 3. After scanning the car, the engine light disappeared. (somehow maybe i have deleted the code, I am not sure) So, does this mean the bypass valve was not really the problem? ( I mean , if it is really the problem, we can never remove the engine light until it was really reparied/replace/fixed). Thanks

    • @snapsuml8796
      @snapsuml8796 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Michael, if the DTC disappeared after delete, it means it's normal again. However, if it appears again, the root cause should be found and treated. It should be the problematic part sometimes working sometimes no.

My feedback vibration on steering wheel at high speed seems a bit more than before . Have you heard wheel alignment might be cause also ?

    • @snapsuml8796
      @snapsuml8796 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Frank Montez, if vibration at high speed but steering is straight, it may be caused by uneven weight across the circilar motion of your tire and wheel (front or rear wheels)usually you have to do balancing it after tire change. For the instrument light it is can be checked easily with the OBD tools (with ford support). If your steering is not straight, there may be other issue (eg control arm ball joint aging, tie rod ball joint aging)if your vehicle is in high mileage and it better to check those parts before wheel alignment (or even after alignment it may get worse result) one other possible reason is uneven tire wear. Usually i will have tire rotation for every oil change. Maybe your car have both abs wheel speed sensor and the possible causes i mentioned above.
