for this challenge I tried to avoid processing gear since it would change the profit numbers. my profit tracker was just calculating the profit of them by their value on the TP so I guess you could consider that the same as selling (although my profit tracker did not account for the 15% TP tax) normally though I salvage my commons and rares for mats and ectos, and with the greens it is often roughly the same or even better to sell them depending on their current price. this is all assuming you have the correct salvage kit for them, if you dont then youre probably better off just selling them all.

I was doing a decent ammount of activities each day for this challenge. the individual activity numbers are approximate but something like 30g from fractals, 5g from the daily SOTO and EOD strike, 20g from IB5 strikes, not hard to hit the 50g mark

compared to a DPS build yea for sure

I do remember having a bit of trouble getting the correct size, for some reason its a bit buggy when moving it towards the edge of the screen, I just sort of brute forced it. I think if you change the position and size in small incriments or something like that I was able to get it nice and small on the edge.

Its great but, how many gems would a new player need before you'd recommend spending it on this, imo other things come first, i think thats kinda what he means because the actual boss info is for free on the event table

the best resource for this is probably the fast farming site. Shows you all the different methods of converting each currency and you can see which ones are best for you. Sometimes the highest gold per currency is less reliable (mostly when its something you need to sell on the TP, for example the Mini Freezie's Heart is one of the highest gold per karma conversions but it requires you to sell it to another player, and they are rarely purchased) fast.farming-community.eu/conversions/overview

only some icons are interactable and will dissapear when interacted with, make sure this is one that is meant to dissapear. Also I have found sometimes their hitbox is a bit small and precise so you might need to move around a bit to interact with it in the right position. Other than that, perhaps take a look through the global settings of blishHUD, as well as the pathing modules settings as they are separate. Hope that helps!

And the best thing is that it is not even worth it to quit zour job to have more money in the game. If you spend some part of what you earn per day to turn it into gems and gold you get more gold.

Considering the content it's meant for, 15k is actually not bad at all as long as it also means you stay alive long enough

how are you getting 15k?

I didn't really put much thought into the sigils on the shortbow since I almost never use it in this build. it's just for extra range when required, so you don't need to use exactly the same sigils if you want to use something else. the corruption sigil stacks do not work if you don't have the shortbow actively equipped. I'm not sure if they disappear immediately when swapping back to spear, but they won't last very long, best case scenario.

@@ieatyoulol Thanks, I just started using that build, I usually go Condi Rene, but for playing more solo is really hard to survive, and this build just had what I needed, I used a energy sigil on the shortbow in case I need that extra dodge/heal so I switch in dire situations only. Works like a charm even though I don't have ascendeds, I'm eager to see how nice it is full ascended. Thanks a lot for the build, man!

@@khiroga another idea I use sometimes when I use my secondary weapon only for emergencys is sigil of cleansing.

I dont usually use a strict rotation in the open world, I find it more valuable to just know what each skill does and make your own decisions based on whats happening. but for DPS with the spear it looks something like spear 2 > spear 5 > spear 4 (twice) > spear 2 > head into reaper shroud (i go over a basic shroud rotation at 3:29) but just as an example, i used spear 4 there to reset the cooldown of spear 2 to use it again, but doing so wasted the mobility I could have got out of spear 4 so if I know Im gonna need that soon its better to save it and use spear 4 for the mobility instead of DPS

@ieatyoulol cool ty for answering. I noticed most shroud rotation is pretty much the same in most builds. Lots of 1, 2 and 4. Maybe 5 thrown in. I don't have a legendary relic. Didn't even know they existed till today. So I'm using relic of fireworks. Since it boosts strike damage.

@@doomsayr_x ah nice, I havent tested that relic with spear but it doesnt sound too bad. Only spear 5 will trigger it, but you also have shroud 4 and 5 and I think at least 1 sword skill is 20s, you should be able to get some value out of it

hell yea glad it was helpful! With toughness tanking (which is only a thing in some raids btw) all that matters is that you have higher toughness than anyone else in the squad. Ideally no one else should have any extra toughness so any ammount of toughness stats SHOULD make you the highest. The default harriers+clerics stats I use for heal herald does have a low-medium ammount of toughness (+426 or 1426 total since you have 1k by default) and that should be enough to maintain aggro of the boss, the only reason you might want to go even further with toughness is just if you personally want an easier time tanking damage at the expense of other stats. Personally Id say maybe around +800 or +900 tough would be as far as I would go if youre really struggling to stay alive. youre not much use as a healer if you're dead. (which you can do by swapping the harriers stats to givers or minstrels) but again its at the expense of other stats so ideally somewhere in the middle or lower range would be optimal.

preaching to the choior here, I play herald more than anything else. but it just doensnt really work as well with this build. it doesnt get any inherent value from its dodges like vindi does, so dodging more often with the stamina sigil to proc the relic is technically a dps loss, where with vindicator its giving you damage as well as more boons on top of the alac from the relic. plus it just feels a bit more energy starved to spam the spear skills since youre using upkeep skills more often than vindi

@ieatyoulol You don't need to dodge more often, though. Just dodging attacks normally will give you plenty of procs of the relic. With the F2 facet and all the built-in boon duration, two dodges will give you close to 20 seconds of Alacrity. You don't need to run the Stamina sigil to make the relic good if you're playing Herald. You are right about energy management, though the timing on rotation tends to work out perfectly, and you run out right in time to legend swap.

I would be interested in the herald variant of this build. Do you have build for that?

heh yea the alac heal ren is a bit of a meme build, it technically works, ive tried it, but it just doesnt feel great or supply anywhere near as much support as heal herald does :P

fair enough :P I guess the video was less aimed at brand new players as I do gloss over a lot of stuff. Im definitely thinking about making some more detailed newer player focused gold making content as well tho

@@silvercrowyaod1190 bit confused as to why you commented on this video instead of the one you're talking about. but sounds like you barely watched it, it was over a full week not 23 hours. not really sure what you mean with a couple of your other points, I'm happy to help clear up any confusion if you want to explain your points a little clearer :) I also streamed the whole thing and have VODs still up on twitch for just about every activity I did during the week

@@ieatyoulol In the comment I clarify that to get the gold that you "teach" to farm according to the data at the end of the video of 8 gold per hour, so that it gives you 1327 is equivalent to farming 22 hours a day for a week so that the numbers add up. , that's not counting the loading and group search times. Also, you didn't even sell the long bows because they are not sold at all at the price you mention in your videos. I call you fraud, since people like you who invent the numbers when making a gold farming guide with them meta events or how much a final boss gives you, not to mention that if you get a drop that has a minimum ratio you take it as input data or common loot. Many people who try to get those gold farm numbers end up getting frustrated and leave the game when they see that the reality is completely different. and there is more data that can simply be denied, as I said, just by opening a calculator and adding up.

that final gold per hour number at the end is actually equal to 24h a day for a week, because I had that farming tracker running for the entire week, so it includes all the time I was not playing. Thats why its such a low per hour number when my actual playtime gold per hour was on average around 15-30 for each days playtime. I did not sell the SOTO weapons because I didnt sell anything during the week. because of how the profit tracker works, it counts the TP value of every item you obtain, and listing something on the TP removes it from your inventory and so removes its value from the profit tracker. Until of course it sells and you collect the gold, but since not everything would sell in time I decided to just not sell anything to get an accurate number for the profit tracker, then start liquidating everything afterwards. If you have any other reasons you think I faked it id be happy to clarify those as well, but again I'd like to point out that I literally livestreamed the entire process so video proof of everything I did exists over on twitch as VODs.

hey welcome back and welcome to the best class in the game revenant! :D glad to hear youre enjoying. Yea with scepter your auto attacks give a lot of might so you should be auto attacking as much as possible when youre not doing anything else. Its not as important to constantly switch legends off cooldown like vindicator, but if youre going to camp 1 legend more then it should definitely be dragon since this is where most of your valuable boons come from. If youre in centaur stance and have heaps of excess energy its not a huge deal to just "waste" it and swap back to dragon. Ideally you can just quickly burn some energy with the centaur utility or the elite skill which eats up a lot of energy before swapping. I almost never swap to staff with the level 3 variant, the healing and condi clense that it has can just be accessed from centauar stance utility, and you lose a lot of might by not using the scepter. so I only swap to staff for last resort emergency CC if all my other CC isnt enough. Another thing to keep in mind is even though there is a basic rotation to go through, healing is not quite the same as DPS rotations where you ideally want to be hitting the exact same buttons as fast as possible all the time, its more about just keeping the essential boons on your party, then doing some on demand extra healing or condi clense etc. when required. Also if you really dont feel like you need the extra energy from the charged mists trait, you can swap it to song of the mists instead, it might be better value if youre not making use of the extra energy. and you shouldnt have a qdps herald in your subgroup if youre quick heal herald since that would be 2 sources of quickness in the 1 sub, you'd need an alacrity dps instead :)

Especially with the weapon rotation makes more sense to use the staff in a low intensity setting or feeling lazy at times unless for CC like you mentioned :D helps keeping things more streamlined that way. One thing I did notice is that if you end up using all the energy say from proc'ing a skill that uses the remaining leftover while it's over 10, the mist trait still works while the energy regens quickly back up from 0. So it may be better to squeeze the last bit than having to wait it tick down and wait for it to be between 0-10. Not sure if this is a good way to go about it but other readers may find it helpful if you find yourself in a similar situation starting out! What does Throne of Liberty have to do with gw2???

@@deilaaaa6759 clearly throne and liberty is adding Necromancer that has insane mobility, and generates boons that last 10+ seconds!

yep! quickness comes from the "scavenger burst" utility, and alacrity comes from the relic. Celestial stats gives enough boon duration to make these boons 100%, especially since the stamina sigil allows you to dodge a lot more in open world. I dont think it just makes all other relics obselete because gaining alacrity is not really as impactful in open world as quickness or many other boons really. And it is mostly useful in instanced content when you are able to give it to a whole subgroup, this relic only gives alacrity to yourself. You are also giving up the extra damage or support from other relics in order to take this one, and it can only really be utilized to the fullest by classes that can dodge more often and/or gain more from dodging outside of the relic for example how vindicator does damage and grants boons with its dodge.
