So beautiful❤ Do you grow from seed?
What a great idea! I’ve got to try this!! 🎉
Can it be Cafe au Lait Twist? I have one and the picture looks just like it. Hopefully you found it out.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. I hope you enjoy Bonnie Best, it was my grandfathers favorite tomato, the one he grew every year.
I’m growing Captain Lucky bi-color tomato again. It was a great/balanced tomato that produced well and all season long. Thanks for your review!
❤love ubthanknu. will ck back when able.
“If it was the weekend it was going to be raining” tell me abt it
What I am going to do new this year is put insect proof bags on my first Dahlia blooms so the grasshoppers don't chew on them. Maybe also put the bags on some peach fruits. Also have ordered some miniature brachytic nectarines (Arctic Babe), I think it is the first miniature white-fleshed nectarine. The white-fleshed peaches and nectarines are sweeter than the yellow-fleshed ones.
Beautiful!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
love u. ❤thank u!
Merry Christmas from Seattle!
Nice to see someone else is growing perennial sweet peas besides me.
global warming is real

I truly enjoyed watching this video today. What a beautiful garden. You go girl! High Five👍🏽👍🏽
So glad you enjoyed it! Looking forward to spring!
Brilliant 😆🧄🧄🧄! 🌸
Gorgeous blooms! 💐
@3:00 - I don't believe blackberries will continue the ripening process once picked beautiful blackberry structure you've got there!
Thanks! It was a great year for blackberries! When I pick the blackberries they are nearly ready, but firm and tart (dark in color not red ones). They do continue to ripen to blackberry sweetness and then I either eat them fresh or freeze them. I figured I had nothing to lose when I started doing it…me and the birds love them at their peak of ripeness 🙂. Thanks for watching!
Try Black Jack; a very tall dark cactus with dark foliage. Goes well with other colours in bunches. Also Thomas Edison. And Jaxxon. Karma Sangria is also a great one for mixing with other colours and holds well in the vase.
Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll check them out 🙂
@@AdventuresinGardening Yay! I got a few great suggestions to try from your video too, so thanks :)
Love it !
Soft doesn't mean bad, it could taste just as good
Sounds like you're just bragging
Don't matter what you pay for it
Muy hermosas dalias saludos desde Cusco Perú
If you want a few more tall dahlias, try Terracotta which is super floriferous and tall. It's a pretty terracotta color and semi-cactus. Hollyhill Dr. Rick was easily over 6ft in my garden this year! It's a red cactus and beautiful. Holly Jitterbug is another 5+ feet tall yellow semi cactus and was loaded with blooms for me. Pineland Princess grew over 5ft for me in my garden and its covered in pretty pink/lavender and white laciniate blooms.
Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll check them all out 🙂
What’s it called
Amazing harvest! How do you preserve the ones you don’t just stuff with cheese? Do you dry them out or just stick them into a freezer?
great haul!
Thank you for sharing your storage tips on these dahlias. They are all so beautiful!
Thanks for watching!
These actually aren’t dahlias they are tomato plants before the fruit develops!
Very beautiful!!! I love them.❣❣❣❣❣
Hi! I just found your channel and you have a beautiful border. Dahlias have been one of my favourite flowers since childhood and I started growing them in my garden this summer in earnest. I don’t think it was great year for them but I enjoyed the few blossoms I got (I am in zone 5b in Canada)-just dug my tubers today so your garden gave me lots of joy :)
Glad you enjoyed the video! Pre-sprouting helps get them up and growing…in my opinion 🙂 Looking forward to next year already!
Great collection! Interesting to see that you have the same plants everywhere like I have in Moscow region. The trees are completely different.
Thanks for watching 🙂
🎉❤💚❣️
I know if I ever tried to cram tomatoes that close I’d have a disease outbreak
This short video is just a snapshot of the end of my season for those big tomatoes that are growing everywhere. There are 6 Early Wonder (determinate) that have grown in the greenhouse since June and are now rooted through the gravel in the floor. They’ve done phenomenal and massively productive this year and I highly recommend them. I don’t have much hope to go past Christmas growing this way because I’m in Connecticut, but learning and taking notes of how much I can push into the season is the goal. Thanks for watching 🙂
Water the ground really well before nightfall helps them not freeze on the roots.
These are all our winter flowers here in West Bengal
That’ll make her feel better 😂
@CrazyBritTho 😂 😂😂 It’s sad for the season to end but it’s all part of the process!
You convinced me, i'll buy my fruit in the super market ! BTW - You are Really Hot !!
Niceeee🎉
Thanks! 🙂
My oldest Meyer Lemon tree 🌲 s 21 years old now. I live in NC so we must bring them in. I cut it back hard as you say, but a few years ago I realized since we have windows in the garage and a mini split for heat and cooling, this could be a good place for citrus. So the largest tree stays in there during the night ( prob 50-55 degrees) and if the day is nice, I wheel it out on the dolly to get some fresh air and sun. I don’t water it much as it’s not growing. The best thing about this idea is that I have not had pests in 3 years! The tree often blooms in the very late winter. I give it as much sun as I can all summer but I do have a giant patio umbrella and protect it on the hottest of days. Tips for novices: use a plastic pot. Clay pots are just too heavy and the soil is harder to maintain and even moisture. Secondly: sun sun sun. No it does not only need 4 hours! It needs 8+ hours of sun. One last thing: you can leave the lemons on for awhile after they become completely yellow. This preserves them in a way and they actually grow a bit bigger after they ripen if you leave them on the tree. I have given lots of lemon trees for gifts through the years and hear back from my lemon tree buddies every year because it’s so darn exciting to see the lemons form and grow! I also have 2-3 other lemon trees at any time, an orange and a lime Enjoy! .
I love all of this - you definitely have a great place to overwinter your trees! Also love how you wheel them out on nice days. I definitely need to take your advice on the plastic pots but haven’t found any to go with the indoor decor as the trees become part of the main household for part of the year. Thanks for your wisdom and thanks for watching!
what was the plant/fruit on the arch outside your greenhouse
West India Burr Gherkin! Grown for fun because I couldn’t get passed all the spikes 😂 I did try to eat them though!
Thank you Heather! I really needed this info on citrus, I purchased a Meyer lemon improved last spring and am not sure what to do this winter. I brought it inside last week when our night time temps, here in Oregon, started dipping into the high 40's, so I just put it back outside for a while longer and am relieved to have the 37 degree temp as guide. It currently has 6 lemons of varying size and is looking promising, not turning yellow yet. 🤞 I do have an unheated room to keep it in over the winter. Thanks again, the orange you are showing is quite impressive!
Just a note on the Meyer Lemon - I had a good size one for years and BOY did it produce! It did like to drop its foliage when I brought it in though so I thought I’d mention that just in case it happens to you. The fruits were very yummy! Thanks for watching 🙂
@@AdventuresinGardening Thank you, I appreciate the heads up!
@@AdventuresinGardening Heather, thanks to you I was able to successfully harvest my 6 lemons. They were not huge but they were tasty!
Wow my dream greenhouse 🥰
Thank you! Many years in the making 🙂
How many in comparison did you harvest?
We haven’t had a hard frost yet but so far it’s neck and neck!
I plant close together too! I don’t think I paid more than $20 for a Hosta. I like to collect and since I have a small yard I tend to only buy onesies!
Thanks for watching! 🙂
I fell in love with Dahlias only recently, some months ago. I’m mad about dahlias now 🤎🧡🤎
Meeeeee too ❤️
Sau cơn mưa trời lại sáng, bình an rồi sẽ đến cùng với cầu vồng, hãy cùng nhau tin tưởng ở tương lai nhé.
Beautiful ❤ I garden in Long Island, zone 7b. My question to you is, how do you deal with earwigs and now lantern flies that devour dahlias?
I can’t address the lantern flies because I actually only saw the first one here this year, we’ll see how things progress next season I guess! As far as earwigs go however - I use the first blooms as traps and walk around with a big bowl of soapy water and ‘empty’ the flowers. I also use old tuna cans (partially covered) at the base of the plants with oil and water. June bugs are a pretty big deal here, like BIG. I use the yellow bowl method to deal with them and it works pretty good. The video with info on that is ‘Garden Easier and Healthier with Less Work’ if you want to know more.
I have come to truly love hosta as I live a place with the proper shade for them. Unfortunately the deer pressure this year has been higher than ever and every single one of my hosta have been eaten to the ground continuously and never got to growth this year. I really love one I have called island breeze. It looks a lot like some you have. Medium/small leaves. Green with outer yellow. Do you have it? And what do you do about deer?
Island Breeze is a beautiful one! I don’t have it - yet 😂. I am so sorry to hear about the deer pressure you have…they can devastate a landscape. Deer have only come through a handful of times over the 23 years I’ve gardened here. I see them weekly on the other side of the pond though. BUT let me tell you what we do have - beavers. They have taken more than their fair share 😐 Thanks for watching and happy gardening!
