At last a useful thing I can do with a bt hub! Sorry to say it does not show the usb your way but it does in the hubs status but I cannot open it from there? It is a home hub 5 with win11 pc's

Good video but the fact that your router has a USB port does not necessarily mean it will work. The Huawei HHG2500 has a USB port but you can't use it in this way. Also, as mentioned you may need to enable SMB1 support in Windows features.

If only this would work on Virgin Media routers. They seem to be hardware disabled for the usb port. Tried all sorts to attach external storage thriugh it, nothing seems to work. Please , if anyone out there has got the usb storage working on a Virgin hub, let me know how.

It (router) was developed by Cisco in the USA so they have the right to name it and pronounce it hence "rowter" is correct and "rooter" is for unclogging your plumbing

No., the scrren does not go blank. It goes to another screen on which the options are either "Continue" or "Set up Later." "Set up Later" does get rid of it, but for just how long is unclear.

How would you do this but keeping only video files in their dated folders too move them to a new drive I have dated media folders containing both stills and videos I back up the images to the cloud but need my video files on physical storage Any suggestions?
