They certainly did a perfect job of covering the backstory of the ring to those who may not have been fully familiar with Tolkien’s story.

I enjoyed it. Lets see what happens now with the human kings, how the orc grew, the dwarves of moria. Keep going. Whoop.! whoop.! The books are good, the adaptation is amazing and the overall fullfilling of charcter holes is fantastic. Love the focusing more on the story and amazing job to the actors and the whole crew that brought the fantasy to screen. Thank you!!!

I definitely prefer the theatrical opening over the extended one. Galadriel's monologue is just better in the shorter version imo

All this time, I thought Sauron only lost one finger. In this, I can clearly see 4 digits twirling in the air. One might even be part of a thumb, not sure. You even see at least three glowing sections where the digits were severed. Nice to know.
