He was a good man. He loved all people regardless of race, color or creed. He was a devout Christian but didn't hate anyone. Above all, he was hilarious. His stories were so absurdly funny because of the way he told them. RIP.

I love this man! I wish he were still alive today telling us his stories. He was pivotal in my decision to get me 2 Redbone coonhounds from WV. I named them Beaucephus and Beauregard and they were brothers. They were mighty fine coonhounds and I loved every second we were out hunting. Thank you Jerry for helping me to get out and make some awesome memories and for making me laugh so hard. RIP Brother

This story came to mind earlier tonight as i told my daughter and son in law about a bar fight i found myself in 40 years ago. Jerry clower was a icon among the coon hunter groups in fact this very story is were I got the name for one of my favorite coon dogs I registered him under the name of brummie big ol Walker 😊
