If you float the eggs now you contaminate them. You float the eggs to see if they are alive on lock down day. Research it!

Thanks for watching! Below is my recipe for Korean pickles. You can sub cucumbers for pretty much any other vegetable and adjust the seasoning to your taste. Recipe for Oi Muchim 1 English cucumber or 2 pickling cukes 1-2 Tbsp coarse sea salt or coarse kosher salt 1 Tbps sugar 2 Tbsp Gochugaru (hot red pepper powder) 2 Tbsp White Vinegar 1 tsp Sesame oil 1 tsp minced garlic 1 tsp Rice wine or mirin 1 tsp roasted sesame seeds Optional: 1 green onion, sliced Slice the cucumber in half long ways then slice thinly into half moons. Pour salt and mix. Let cucumbers sit for 20-30 minutes. Rinse under cold water and strain all the water out. Put the cucumber slices in a medium bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well, transfer to an air tight container and let sit at room temperature for 1 hour up to 1 day. Put in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. You can eat these right away or let them sit longer for a more sour pickle.

I had a hard time putting 2 quail eggs per slot. Mine would bind up & turn on edge. I was adjusting them several times a day. I did find a quail egg turner on amazon. It fits perfectly! Good luck on your hatch!
