Amazing use of other horror games music, had me genuinely creeped out

Why change the title?

spider-man products are straight up not for spider-man fans, they're not for jms run fans, their not for fans of web of shadows or shattered dimensions, they are not even really for slot fans: the movies and the games and the modern comics seem to be for people who bought a ticket to avengers endgame or no way home and no one else. which is a lot of people but it still comes across shallow to real spiderman heads who have been in the trenches of the character's lore

AAA games take enough risks. Intergaylactic is hated by everyone, yet Naughty Dogs still wants to release that 💩

I think players should also take more risks in what games we play. Like with Returnal I do not think it would have done well if a new studio made it. With a weird premise, and is a $70 rogue-like. People would not have bought the game if it was not made by a trustworthy developer like Housemarque. Players need to branch out as well. Otherwise we will continue to get the same crap. Vote with your wallet as they say.

I feel like it’s a two way street with this one. AAA games are scared people won’t like it because it happened so many times before with call of dudy,halo and even Mgs. When games come out with a different formula people tend to hate it only to then love it years later sometimes when it’s to late. But then again sometimes games hit the mark like with God of war, the souls franchise and final fantasy. I’m probably wrong but i think we are more accepting of change now as in 2024 a lot of games came out that tried something new and absolutely succeeding doing that new thing. Or even new games we never seen before like stellar blade and Wukong got spotlight and did really well. I hope this keeps up

I think the Last of Us Part II has fabulous stealth, it's just not the game's sole genre. I would argue it's the best hybrid of stealth and action we've seen, like, ever. Are there better "pure stealth" games? Sure. But the flow between stealth and combat (particularly on harder difficulties) is something I don't see enough people giving the game credit for.

I've played 66% of arkham Knight for about 25 hours and bought arkham City/ Asylum for $9 on sale. ive also played about 9 hours arkham City ( a little bit past freeze fight), and so far, arkham asylum is my favorite of the 3 games

Hitman's Freelancer is the best stealth game out there in getting you to engage with the stealth system because it makes you play through your failure and punishes you for failing. While even encouraging you to do non stealth things like get loud kills. And because of its rouge like nature you cannot trial and error your way into solving it. Stealth games fail at forcing you to play through your mistakes by giving you things like save scumming and powerful characters in combat. I think if stealth needs to be successful as AAA it needs to do these things: force players to play through their mistakes not through combat but through hide and seek and introduce randomness to prevent it from being solved.

Returnal is my favorite game in PS5! Hands down

Control is a 9/10 game damn near 10 the world building is masterclass

Returnal was my personal GOTY of 2021. Housemarque did everything right for the specific type of game they wanted to make, some will love it and some won´t. The climb to the tower in 4th biome is still one of my favorite moments in gaming, period.

There are true ,but Elden Ring isn't a good example of Fromsoftware taking a risk, it was possibly the safest route they could go,it was stepping on a formula that proved to be successful a couple of times,but now they made it bigger. Sekiro was more of a risk ,because it was the first time in years that they didn't release a souls game and it payed off,as it felt fresh and it was great.

I think entry point is an amazing stealth game, its not as polished as a AAA release but its just so good, and it takes itself serious, if you mess up and get caught u cant just kill some gaurds and go back to stealth, the alarms are off and police ARE coming for you

Honestly From Software Games are one of the most fun games in today’s Era of gaming imo. Sekiro, Bloodborne, Elden Ring are all masterpieces imo.

Awesome content dude. Engaging to encourage the algo, and to make sure that you keep this kind of content up. Well written and edited. Good stuff, and I love the game! The "AA" space seems to have a bit more tolerance for risk as well, with awesome stuff like Remnant 2 and others. We need more risk and experimentation to be celebrated with success. The indie scene is blossoming due to its ability to embrace risk and its inability to produce products a higher budget encourages.

They have been taking risks as how else would you describe the financial flops that have been happening non stop? Oh yeah that’s right the risk of catering to a small minority audience and shoving it down the throats of everyone else.

To be honest, this is the best description and indirect review of this game that I’ve seen. I love the game and the effort that the studio put into it, it is worth it, for all of the players having trouble understanding the dynamics and what makes this game really great, don’t give up, make an effort to be better every time you revive, the feeling, that reward of being able to move forward, farther that before, seeing a new cinematic or discovering a new world, it is fantastic. Very enjoyable

Im mostly happy with the innovation going into the indie space but i do want more of it in the AAA space.

AAA games can only take risks if the player base can accept new concepts rather than sticking to safe areas of gameplay. It's the reason why certain franchises will never disappear for the lack of quality

I feel like another issue is how we perceive stealth to begin with. We tend to see stealth as "shooter game where you are stealthy", when realistically, more often, it's "a strategy game where you happen to have the ability to shoot shit." Going into a stealth game thinking it'll be like a shooter will mean that you expect shooter-things, like being able to turn off your brain and have some fun

Housemarque's real folly was not having physical copies of their games. They will largely vanish from history because of that. Also, a bullet-hell not in the indie space would be Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga...20+ years ago, though. Beware Jacob Gellar...he's been identified as a grifter running a DEI consultancy company. Returnal needed some sort of smaller, incremental permanent progress to allow people not into hard-core roguelikes to find it more accessible, let alone finishing it.

The problem is that when AAA games do take “risks” you guys either don’t buy them or start going off the deep end when they do things “differently”. I can understand why most would rather stick to a formula that works but some of you even get pissed when they do that, it’s a zero sum game at this rate.

Remedy is for me too one of my favorite developers. Their games have a clear sense of unique style, it’s bizarre and fun and scary all at the same time. I enjoy getting off the beaten path to find games like Alan wake 2 and well as death stranding whose sequel I’m looking forward to. Now I might have to try returnal, I wrote it off as something cool but not for me.

Dont take the risk triple A games, look what happened at Alan is Mid 2.

25:27 Tunic was a whole treasure when it came out. When I got stuck, I did just go explore someplace else, and imagined that "they MUST provide an english manual in new game plus. This game is fire!" when i got too stuck, and found out that there is no translated version and i would basically have to leave the game to understand the game.. is when I stopped playing the game...
