Jeep rear end

The rear end suspension actually has movement as the frame bolt hole is ovalled and there is movement in the trailing arm.
GMC part 3
มุมมอง 34วันที่ผ่านมา
The push rod is obviously the issue…. But what caused the push rod to bend? Could lack of oil create too much friction on the rocker arm??? Bending the pushrod???? We will get another pushrod and take out some oil(normal level) and see if it works as designed or if we aren’t getting oil THEN we need to look at oil pump and oring
GMC part 2
มุมมอง 32วันที่ผ่านมา
We over filled with oil and lifted the back end so the oil pickup oring is “under” the oil… oil will get picked up… conclusion… one cylinder still not getting oil… we will remove this push rod and see if we can blow air through it and clear any blockage…
GMC tick/knock
มุมมอง 37วันที่ผ่านมา
This GMC had a couple of issues, knocking noise and runability. Misfire on number 6…. It did need plugs, that helped but the knocking was still there…. We took off valve cover and you can see no oil is getting to this rocker. Continued.

The cam is toast, what does this do to the bottom end?
Water Pump
มุมมอง 91หลายเดือนก่อน
Vehicle was smoking/steaming as soon as we looked under hood we could see coolant everywhere
Tiguan control arm bushings

Control arm bushings get weather cracked and will fail an out of province inspection
I did my rear main seal nd still leaking u think it’s this
Could be; if the rear seal was done you’d probably see the oil coming down from the intake
I didn't see the other ones so i might be off here but if the rockers were straight and it has afm, and it bent on a afm lifter that it stuck open and jammed it. They have tons of play once they're jammed up
I would take off a engine mount and thrust mount while supporting engine on a hydraulic floor jack. Tilt upper engine forward to clear intake manifold from firewall upper lip.
"Oh that's just an exhaust leak".....😂😂
I wouldn't worry about the bottom end too much, the amount of metal debris looks to be minimal and most should have been caught by the filter, unless the cam has a 1/4" deep, roller-wide trench in it, I'd repair and go.
@@RonRussell-sj1zf part 2 shows the cam…. One lobe gone many of the others bridling… coming apart. Oil pan full of metal
@@grandenauto3214 Then I stand corrected, more damage than I thought.
@@RonRussell-sj1zf yeah, we didn’t know for sure until we saw the cam, but we’ve seen a few, and when the lifter is worn, the am is worn

I have the same problem on a 2018 3.6l Ram
@@ssppaannkkyy07 the 3.6 has issues with oil coolers.
@grandenauto3214 i think that's where my leak is co.ing from
@@ssppaannkkyy07 if you look down at the oil filter, past the filter into the valley, you may see oil down there … use a flashlight.
I have same truck and just noticed today it was leaking oil
Happened to me yesterday
So?
Thank you so much Sir You save me
Yes it will there's plenty of videos proven otherwise.
The dealers will try to tell you it’s the rear main seal, and will charge you every penny for it. Of course it’s nearly impossible to see the rear of the valley without pulling off all the plastic covers to confirm it’s the oil filter housing/cooler. If you have oil leaking/spraying under your truck in a similar way as in this video and you have the means to diy, it’s a no brainer to take this project on yourself. If nothing else you should be able to verify fairly quickly whether it’s indeed the culprit or if you have more going on that you might need to get someone else involved. I haven’t come across a video of this repair being done on a ram but south main has a full length video of one in a charger or something, where it’s transversely mounted, so you can definitely see more of what’s going on at least.
@@piezoman79 with the truck it’s hard to tell, the front of the engine is a little higher on the front so the oil drains back… it’s hard to look down where the filter is to see the oil in the valley. On the transverse engines it really easy to look down past the filter and see the oil.
My daughter's TRAX burned out two pigtails, one motor, and about 5 resistors. After I fixed it the last time, I removed the charcoal cabin air filter and put in a cheap, thin filter in. No issues now.
I bought a 2005 DeVille and didn't know it had a broken subframe car would pull to the right, during oil change my father n law noticed it and had to replace it
I have oil in my coolent reservoir on my 2017 jeep grand Cherokee limited and it over heating..but my engine doesn't tik or knock can it be bad oil cooler
@@themarkedone7168 it could be…. But it may also be a head gasket.
Please give me some guidance
What guidance do you need
You remember what you did? I got a leak in the same spot. I haven't confirmed that it's coolant though.
The most likely culprit is the water pump or the coolant elbows I just changed the water pump on mine
It’s the water pump. Have the same exact thing now
Did you have problems with the intermediate shaft seating back into the diff housing? I did the same repair on a q40 but didnt disassemble the intermediate shaft from the axle. The intermediate shaft pulled out enough to remove the diff. Once i got it back together the intermediate shaft wouldn't seat all the way back in the diff. Just wondering ifbyou had issues.
So whats the solution ?
Best case scenario is the oil cooler needs replacing…. Worst case is replace the head gasket
@@grandenauto3214 thx. Can i replace only the oil cooler without the filter holder ?
@@theattorney6072 it’s all one piece…. You can get it from the aftermarket and comes complete, many times, with all sensors.
@@grandenauto3214 I found one which comes only with the cooler and some orings. The Guy told me if it doesn't leak, you only need to replace the cooler.
@@theattorney6072 that’s usually the problem, it leaks… so replace cooler which sits on the filter housing…. The o-rings on the filter housing leak and you get oil coming out… is the oil leaking into the coolant system?
If someone brought a truck in, that was all muddy like that I’d tell them they can take it back and wash it themselves before I work on it or I’m not working on it.
I knew the mechanic was wrong.
Wow that is an unbelievable wiring job....no fuse either..just wow
Why are there so many videos of these engines with serious problems?
Ford spends too much time and money on marketing and not enough on developing.
I’ve got a 2012 with the phasers. How much can I reasonably expect to pay for all that
How did you get the back top one out
So youre saying wipe then down before inspection... Good call
It won’t fail, but if it fails the bounce test… then it will fail

My wifes car kept killing the blower motor resistor and I did not know why but apparently i need a new blower motor.... I hard wired it and eventually the blower motor burnt out 😂.....
How did you fix yours ? Having the same thing ?
KIA=POS.
Please delete this useless clip and let the data for other useful videos.
Or better yet don’t watch it
Tell everybody poor design resistor has no way to to dispersed the heat
Needs a recall for this car 😢😢
Is this a small European Fusion or the USA big Fusion?
I own a 2 litre ford torbo escape. I would never buy s new one , Only reason i have this one is my sister had to give up driving and we got it with only 18000 kilos on it . We drive 25 likos every time we start it out here in the country, so mostly hwy kilos and 5000 kilos oil changes.
When you replace the oil cooler and you buy an aftermarket one make sure to get the o rings OEM.
I know, this is so criminal!! Water pump = totaled vehicle in some cases.
Aluminum rims will get corrosion in the bead area and if it not cleaned every time the tire is removed this corrosion will start eating into the bead area of the rim & once this starts happening the rims will leak and there’s nothing you can do but replace the rim!
Grind it and paint it with some spray paint primer it’ll seal.
sometimes it’s even the rim that can leak right on the seat. had a supposed bead leak and replaced the tire, leaked again and it was on the same area on the rim.

I have seen a couple of videos on here also but yours is the best one !!!!!!!!! I mean ur straight to the point nd ur details are so awesome i feel like after watching ur video i can DIY everyone else videos have me bitting my nails nd stressing 😅 thank u for this awesome video ❤Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the Video…. I just had a 100k miles service done at Dealership…. I told them I had a leak underneath. They told me it was something else… I’m going to look for my paperwork….. they never mentioned the oil cooler. I think they knew, but didn’t tell me ….. if they would have told…crazy me…. I would have paid just to save time… I called to ask them how much for the oil cooler replacement dealer service $1350 plus tax…. I call deal parts to price the part $265….. found that autozone carries an aluminum housing…. I’m thing about changing both out…. Thanks again
I have the exact same problem let’s see what dodge says
great cam work ,
I have the same problem
Every 3.6L engine will have this problem… the new 3.2 engine in the Jeep Cherokee has the same problem
thanks, as alldata left me high n dry to see the prerequesites
The problem is Ford.
Can't pay me to own one. Had an 09 F150 a few years ago, was a good truck, sold it before any big issues popped up. I'll take aGM any day. Easier and cheaper to fix.
Just slap some JB weld on both ends
As someone once told me, “with fords you get mechanical issues, with gm you get electrical issues. Pick your poison”
looks more like an egr issue than a direct injection issue
That’s how they usually look
As a 45 year old mechanical engineer, I see todays engineers make so many mistakes. Some designs were better left alone. Injectors through the intake manifold pressure washes the valves. The advantage of direct injection has some benefits, run higher compression ratios while using cheap 87 octane and no detonation, but you will be buying replacement parts more often.
Same thing happened to me sent oil everywhere and I had to replace the motor!
