Response to a poss. strucutre fire at waffle house, no fire, gas leak only, canceled enroute to station
Come on semi truck driver get the fuck out of his goddamn way u fucking asshole
The thing is he had the traffic light red on his side of the intersection requiring him to stop before entering the intersection which he did not come to a complete stop. The white pickup had the right of way. Now the siren and lights only allows you to ask for the right of way but it needs to be granted. That was a close call. Private POV's in my book should not be allowed because they do not have sufficient lights and sirens to be classified as an emergency vehicle.
2:20 I could have shot through that red light as it just turned red without crashing
What siren is that? Code 3 RLS?
I know in states emergency vehicle can go around stop school buses is that allow in ur state also
What City and State is this that allows you to respond Code in your own vehicle with lights and sirens to the stations. And are you allowed to respond to the scene in your vehicle also? California CHP would shoot you if we tried that out here (Which is total BS).
This is the State of Ohio. In Ohio, a volunteer firefighter's POV is considered an authorized emergency vehicle under state law. Depending on the department, you can respond to either the station or directly to the scene in your POV with red lights and siren. It has always been like this in Ohio. Since the majority of fire departments in Ohio operate Life Squads (EMS ambulances), volunteer firefighters are not only responding in their POV's to fire calls, but are responding to emergency calls requiring an ambulance. Fortunately in Ohio, law enforcement and the fire/EMS service have a good working relationship when it comes to emergency response in a firefighter's POV.
johnwoa here in Connecticut we get blue courtesy lights. Most people pull over and for smaller towns it's ok I guess. When there's lots of traffic lights it becomes more of an issue and is useless.
in my town we have to yield to normal traffic indicators and aren't allowed to run sirens it's very annoying but what are you gonna do.
I guess it all depends on your state laws. In Ohio where a volunteer firefighter's POV can have red lights and siren, during an emergency response, you MUST come to a complete stop at a traffic signal or stop sign before proceeding through and you must have your vehicle under control at all times. So you can say that emergency response is regulated by the laws on the books.
Is this willimantic Connecticut?
If this was my hometown, every cop would have their badges, belts, jeans, and boots on, be in their cars, and pull over anybody who did not yield.
bschray97 cops don't wear jeans...:/
Hey if it's not too late can I know where your hometown is so I can move there? lol
I am so glad that you used the Two-Tone siren, I don't hear that anymore. I am the only one on the fire department that still runs rotators and uses the two-tone alot. hahah. The can tell when I am driving the fire truck because they can hear the two-tone coming hahah.
I still like rotators.
mike ggg your my new friend haha
Oh yeah - when I started as a policeman, I had an MX7000. When they switched to LEds I said NO - I want to keep mine!
What siren are you running?
it's a Code 3 Mastercom B siren
For the people talking about the opticon, some emergency lights have opticoms in them. On the tower truck has a opticon in the front left on the cab. In his setup vids I didn't see an opticon so I'm wondering if he has it in a light
this looks really good
that white pick up truck would've pissed me off 😠😣😤
You with Moores Mill volunteer fd aren't you?
Nvm I was thinkin about somethin else
you still have that vector bar you used to have on your truck?
At lease wherever this video was shot from the drivers actually got out of the way ( except for the idiot in the white pick up @ 0:35 And on both sides of the bloody road. Well done
I love mastercom b sirens thats the siren he was responding to.
HI/LO- worthless and stupid.
hey I like the hi/lo so fu
Right you are! Dude almost got smoked in the beginning trying to use that Euro crap. It's a completely ineffective siren tone which is clearly demonstrated in the video. Think he learned his lesson from the near miss and didn't even try to go down that road again!
1:01 thats my fav tone. :) whats it called?
Power call or power call something else
Why are so many people asking about the siren sounds like a broken car alarm to me.
+Cody Wolfe would make you look though.
Hyperhilo
Can we get a video of your siren setup and lights?
Nice Smooth Response. Thank You for what you do.
For yall asking the siren sounds like a code 3 Mastercom b
POV IT MEAN Point of View
Dude, Let's maybe go on get 30 MPH??
to get there faster
Sweet where are your from in Ohio
for those wondering its a Code 3 RLS Siren.
It's actually a Mastercom B
+bobcat1deer2cat3 we got the mastercom b siren where I live here in Mossuri.
what box do you use?
Good ride, thanks!!
In Illinois we can use as many blue lights as we want just no sirens in some parts of Illinois we are considerd a emergency veichle in my county if you fail to move to the right and come to a stop to let us pass you can be ticketed we are allowed to speed but this varies by fire department
where is this?
Ohio.
good driving
Your comment was very unnecessary. Every second counts. How would you like it if you were trapped in a burning building, and they arrived 20-25 seconds late, and the building collapse or in a different situation?
Wow. Nice comment roit irons, not.
Put some lights on back and a tad bit more on sides
Excellent use of the siren. Love that siren assembly too
I think you need some lights on the very back. Those toolbox lights can be easily hidden from cargo, or if a car is real short. But other than that it's awesome
in alabama we cant have lights or siren wile responding but when on scene we can have red, amber or white but not while the vehile is in motion
Damn dude, you take johnny blue light to a whole new level lol
Be glad your not in Colorado the ass holes out here can't even single right let alone pull over like they should and yet these are the same people with all the jobs and money makes no sense nice vid
So were the injuries TRUE LIFE THREATENING injuries in the end to justify such actions, or was this just a chance to touch yourself when no one else is around to see it. Usually when there aren't any vehicles in front of us, its an opportune time to turn the siren off. Usually, when there are traffic control devices, responders stop at them before proceeding. Clearly the driver in the white pick up truck didn't care how much money you spent on your whacker lights and siren. How long was the response in the apparatus once you left the firehouse? another 4-5 minutes? more? The emergency part of the call is when 911 is called, ten minutes later (or more) is no longer an emergency. Think about this for second, you never really exceeded the speed limit or did anything outside of the way you would have driven anyway. What did you save, 20-25 SECONDS at the most by going through stops signs and passing the occasional car you came upon? All of these toys are unnecessary and add liability to yourself and your dept.
I don't know about your state, but in Pennsylvania, emergency vehicles that have audible warning devices (ie cops, ambulances, fire trucks, and or ranking officers) must use the audible warning device any time they have a visual warning device active.
This is why we need dislikes on comments...
+Thibault Rommel I agree there is always a smart ass in every video saying useless things nobody cares about.
RIT Irons you don't know the severity of the call until you get there, you asshat! Lights and sirens get you there quicker and safer than just speeding to a call, and only you would put a time limit on an emergency.
Anyone hear their phone ringing?
Love that Hyper-Lo people really never hit hi-lo with the siren
Im guessing you live in Franklin!
In Upstate New York all we can have is blue lights, no sirens. But there have been so many occasions where I've needed a siren. I wish Upstate New York would change the law. But none the less nice video. & be safe brother.
use a mp3 or a CD player on your radio with a siren and turn the radio all the way up I'm in Ulster County and I do that!
+Garth Davis that's not a bad idea but my speakers in my truck are blown :(
Backwoods born waterfowl hunting that sucks were not allowed to run lights with out a siren. idk what i would do without it most of the time people dont move for just lights. and we can run red and white just not blue here in wyoming
0:37, and this is why we have due regard.
And that is also exactly why POV responses should be banned.
TWAWatcher why should we be banned from responding? just have manned stations 24/7? yeah, ok... here in NY, we can only have blue lights, nothing else, people dont HAVE to pull over, but still will. we have to obey ALL traffic laws, regardless. but we should be banned
TWAWatcher another "its just a paycheck" statement form a person who has the logic of "When Im off the truck, Im off the truck." Words like that dont come from 1st responders who are in it to help people and their community. Only from shitbags like you who think "its just a job".
Yeah let's just ban pov responses. How the fuck am I suppose to get to the station? Walk?
amen to that^^ there was a stretch when I didn't have my liscence, so I would run out to the end of my driveway and hop in my chiefs car. he would drop me off at the station or bring me to the scene.. I guess I could do that again..
1:49 anyone know the model for the second siren?
It Sounds like a Federal Signal PA 300 that's what I have. Its the manual siren switch
what state is this
Welcome back to youtube, very nice set up indeed. hope to see some response videos soon.
