In the course of gathering material for his upcoming documentary on Abu Ghraib, Academy Award-winning director Errol Morris conducted over 200 hours of interviews with key figures. Col. Janis Karpinski, at the time of Abu Ghraib a Brigadeier General, was the commander of the prison and later in charge of Saddam Hussein once he was captured. Of course, the vast majority of material can't make th...
What is the name of thst classical piece?
“Written by men who are UNABLE to achieve on a level field of play…” “COWARDS” “WEAKLINGS” “BUMS” How do they write a character like this?
“I can look back on a life of achievement, foes bested, obstacles overcome…” Who even talks like that
I love Mozart
Just rewatched this movie again last night after many years since the first time. I love the entire thing, but after trying to buy a house in this insane market for the last 3 years, this scene really spoke to me in a new way. 😅 When the rates were still low, there were people that would’ve bought a burning house and waived the inspection to win the bidding war.
Who came here after watching the Powerpuff Girls?
He thinks the carpet pissers did this?
The chosen one 🕐
I've accomplished more than most men without the use of my legs . He delivers that line like you know the guy has played that card so many millions of times before !! Great scene with so many great lines jammed in there just oh so right ! Yeah , it's that AND a pair of testicles !! 😜😁😎🥸💋❤️💀
Mind if I do a J?
“Funny…” 😂
See, and the detail that a part of the Catholic mass is playing to set the score really is just a quaint little detail, like the somber religious reverence that's put on.
I’m confused. Did the butler know about the old Lebowski’s scam, or was he fooled too?
This is one of my favorite and most comforting movie scenes of all time lol
Farmers Weekly
Strong men also cry, but only when they have testicles.
The Dude literally helped me overcome my traumatic upbringing. No wonder this movie spawned a religion.
Love the soundtrack for this scene so much. Captures the feeling of trying to be cheerful while going through something deeply melancholy so well.
Sad how you become rich one day but in second everything material you gained means absolutely nothing when you have no one to share it with.
this feels like a jam sketch
Bang on
...BUMS!
Strong men also cry
He's like a combination of Carnegie and FDR.
dUDE WE DON'T cry to give the staff a good laugh.
I absolutely love that the Powerpuff Girls redid this scene with the mayor 😂 almost perfectly
“Joking, but… perhaps you’re right” Fuckin kills me every time
When he closes the door and the music is still playing in the room 😂 you realise it’s not part of the soundtrack… he’s actually staring into the fire with the music on full blast 😂
Mayor: do you know what makes a man
"You mind if I do a J?" -Mr. Lebowski
Bulter is an npc
Apart from the metaphor that one can choose where one will die. I also feel like the burning house represents Hazel's passion that she has for Caden. That as seen later, that passion hurt her
I first heard this line on Dexter's Laboratory, didn't know what it was referencing.
Mind if I do a J?
Jeff Bridges is unequaled, RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman... And the Cohen Bros are amazing.
This is a bummer man 🤣🤣🤣
Strong men also cry...strong men...also cry 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Anybody remember the Power Puffs episode where the mayor was crying over Ms Bellum? Love it !
@brentreid8228you're slow goodbye
I do lol
Perfect all around, from writing to directing to performances to setting to the over the top drama of Bach Mass in B Minor. One of the greatest.
Mozart’s requiem, this piece is called “lacrimosa”
You want me to cry? Is this some kind of acting tryout? What the fuck is wrong with you people? I'm just confused. I think your reasoning process is just wrong. But you don't care. And that is the problem.
2:32~2:35 One of the Top 3 moments of this movie was That song wasnt film background music , turns out Big Lebo' was literally playing it in his room for dramatic effect lol
Never noticed that lmao
Requiem in D minor, K. 626 - Mozart. FYI. :)
1:58 After watching this film 3 times, I JUST realized Dude isnt reading it with his mouth, his reading it in his head lol
You mind if I do a J lmfao 🤣
Bummer... this is a bummer man. That's a bummer .
That is a bummer
While The Big L is a hilarious comedy, one might recognize tons and tons of ancient tragedy elements running on the background of the movie.
2009 was 19 years ago. My life is this movie. I'm sure I will find a cringe comment from who I was then If I look
about six years too eager, it’s only been thirteen years since two-thousand and nine, which is still a lot.
@@zyzdzy 2009 was 29 years ago 😢it’s over….
2009 is more distant from us than isaac newton was from the wright brothers flying their makeshift aeroplane into 9/11
This is the same home Daniel Plainview lived in for ‘There Will Be Blood.’ It’s a large house in the Hollywood Hills.
