Hello, mines is making noise from that part you took out and leaking as well. If I take out the white part and clear it would it stop the part in the front from making noise?
Also, my fridge doesn’t keep nothing that cold and you see can ice a little in the back.
This video was very helpful. This was my exact brand refrigerator & the exact water leak problem. I attempted the job, fearful at first, but hopeful, with much prayer. I was able to complete it as instructed. It took me 1 hour. I thank God for helping me & I am greatful to the person who created this post. Thank you very much🤗
Wait.......9 hrs later, the water is still leaking at the bottom tray. I did everything as instructed. What do I do next Weekend Warrior🤔
Does this work pn a Kenmore as well?
@@kirbycat it should, as long as your model is similar.
We did all of this and nothing was clogged but we can see in our fridge this is where it’s leaking from. Does anyone have any other recommendations??
Just speculating, but if the fridge is too cold and is freezing water inside, it could have ice clogging it
The best Video on this subject I’ve seen. Thank you!!
Weekend warrior. Thanks so much for this video. We have exactly the (Frigidaire) leaking that you described.
Dude thank u!!!
Thank you. The water under the fridge was driving me crazy. Thank you again!
Get to the point. Holy crap.
@@poconomountainaerial nitpick much?
Thank you so much for posting this video. I have the same model and found your video. I successfully unclogged the water line!
You saved me a lot of time and money thank you, I have a question is that drain pan removeable or does it has screws? It is dirty as hell since it had been dried for too long.
@@politicsreporter4247 not sure about the drain pan under the fridge (if that’s the one you’re thinking about). Haven’t had the need to remove it so far. Good luck.
@@weekendwarrior3814 No worries, thank you for response. BTW I was able to find it, has two screw on bottom will need to tip over the fridge but its simple. Regards.
Thanks for this video. i just changed the bulb on my wife's 2016 and I would have never guessed to go through the wheel well. I think it is absurd that this much effort needs to be taken for such a simple task... especially given the need to remove those gawdawful clips. I needed to remove three screws, one bolt and 2 clips in order to get the shroud pull away enough to work.
@@mikeziegler7008 Thanks for the comment and glad the video was helpful.
I’m not particularly handy at all but am thinking to try it tomorrow. You think it’s easy enough for the unhandy? 😅
@@haimonpgh it’s fairly straightforward, you got this😊 👍
@@haimonpgh Yeah... it's more or less exactly as described in the video. I used the following: Phillips and flathead screwdrivers, needle nose pliers, 10mm socket, (for a bolt at the bottom of the wheel-well), small flashlight. I'd guess 5 minutes and it is harder to put back together than it is take apart. Be gentle when pulling the shroud.
@@mikeziegler7008 Thanks!
Thank you!!! You saved me$$$
Wow, I was at my wits end but your trick worked perfectly. The entire bonnet is covered by the chrome sleeve so the little cut (and other dings by me) is hidden anyway ..
That rent a cop is a dipshit.
Thank you 😊
This video helped solve my issue!! Thank you!!!! 🙏 I found that there was a drain clog causing leaking… but also that the ice buildup was so bad that it was blocking the airflow from the freezer to the fridge. So my fridge was not cooling like it should have been! Seriously. As a single gal this was a simple fix I was able to do on my own. Thank you!
Have never seen an excellent video like this. Indeed Thank you for your Help!
This was such a big help! Thank you!
But how about a refrigerator that does not have a freezer, not an icemaker nor any plumbing - yet it still "pisses" all over the floor with no obvious drain or holes inside the fridge. Where does THAT water come from?
The only thing I can think of is condensate. I would check if the door(s)seal properly when closed.
@@weekendwarrior3814 I had come to the same conclusion and that there has to be a comtainer or reseptavle for condensation under or near the compressor and coling loops that handles off-run when thee is high humidity and relatively cool ambient air is thrown in the mix. Guessing the receptable is overflowing before it gets the chance to evaporate.
Thank you😊
Thank you, just straight to the point, amazing video keep up
I have to thank you for this video. I was getting ready to cut the whole thing off today and go get a new one. Really save me a lot of time and headache. This trick worked like magic
The frig was at the lowest 1, so I put it colder 31/2, and try this , I have an older frig , there is no access to the tube just a small cup which drips, , no screws so I didn’t want to break the tiny cup it seems attached ,no way to clean a tube 20 yr. old model Frigidaire . I hope the colder setting works, it goes from 1- 9 coldest so it was super low setting .
The frig you were fixing is much newer, mine is 20 yr.+ , I found where the dripping came from so I put a plastic container to catch the water, it still drips at Level 3, I dump the container now in 5-7 days it fills but it’s so much better to stop water dripping down under the crisper . I didn’t clean the hole yet -on my list now . 👍 thank you .
Thank you. The Clogged has been cleared. Effortless procedure. Worked like a charm with your directions
Where does the water go when it goes out from the top of the frig , and is there another collector bin in the back which I need to dump out I have at least 1/2 litre of water collects the dripping wakes me up I sleep 12 feet away, the frig and freezer both are very cold work okay but it drips so much , terrible, I will try your solution, thank you , !
We have a Kenmore fridge model 253. Same exact problem. The fix worked perfect. We were about ready to go this Sunday to drop $1000 on a replacement. Thank you. I just subscribed.
This was our exact model refrigerator and our exact problem. We were able to fix the problem, saving us from buying a new refrigerator. Thanks
Same here, same model, same pblm, same solution
It was harder to find the proper wrench than fixing it😅 Thank youuu!!
Thank you very much. This video was exactly what I need to repair my Kenmore Fridge(15 yrs old) . And it is now working perfectly again!
does the temperature setting have anything to do with it? if the fridge or freezer is set higher than normal setting there is too much ice build up?
Hard to tell but it’s possible. Ambient air humidity may also play a role.
3 years after this video was posted, it is still has relevant as it was the day it was posted. EXACTLY the same fridge, EXACTLY the same issue and... THANK YOU... I remember drains in old fridges (I'm over 60 y.o.) but, couldn't figure out where the drain was on this fridge! Fixed my problem! Thanks a lot!
I did all of this and now i have some drops of water coming from the back of the bucket area onto the top shelf. Is there something i did wrong?
@@tinakent9098 likely nothing’s wrong. I would just check that all drains align well when installing the assembly back. Good luck!
@weekendwarrior3814 thank you!
WD40 loosen the nut for me after waiting 5 minutes
This saved me today, thanks for the video and idea!
Thank you for posting this tip. It worked exactly like you showed in the video! So helpful👍
Just use washers 🤯👌
Excellent video. My exact fridge. You may need two people to screw the assembly back in, at least I did.
How do you prevent this from happening after cleaning
@@bernice_anders mainly by avoiding lose debris in the freezer getting into the drain hole.
Thanks

Hello I just got this exact fridge that foam located in the piece you took off does that stay there the filter I believe it’s called does it stay there ? How long does it take to get cold in fridge?
