INCREDIBLY HELPFUL! THANK YOU! It was super easy and fast. Everything went back together easy.
Thank you so much, and I'm glad we didn't buy a new fridge.
Thank you, greatly appreciated.
This is not a fix. It’s a hack that won’t last. Seen it a 1,000 times. To correctly fix you need to disassemble the drain components and address the parts that are leaking.
I found out Mine is the black tube that drains into the pan at bottom How do I get to it? looks gummy from front
Haven’t done it myself but seen people in comments mentioning that they used a compressor to blow into the tube to clear out clogs. This could be something to consider.
@@weekendwarrior3814 It sets back behind the front I cant even get a wire to it as has full panel in front . I'm assuming its blocked as the top areas flows freely to inside bottom
i did this about 8 years ago it worked and now doing again
Works like a champ now! Funny thing my Google search of “my fridge is leaking water” came up with this video and it’s the exact same fridge!! Perfect 😅
I was about to buy a new fridge and luckily this video popped up on my feed. The fridge you have was identical to mine. Took less than 5 minutes to solve the problem. THANK YOU for posting the video.
just go to o’reillys
Immensely helpful, thank you!
holy shit it worked thank you
😂
Thank you
I have the Moen Eva style faucet/handle. Exact same issue. Had to replace handles 6 years ago and replaced today for same problem. Moen did send replacements with cartridges free of charge both times under lifetime warranty.
Same faucet, same problem. You video saved me so much troubleshooting. Thanks!
@@5Xdriver great to hear, glad it was helpful 👍
Excellent! Thank you very much. Fixed my leaking fridge in 10 minutes. Only 3 screws, and I did not even need to disconnect the little light fixture.
This was very helpful im ah 20 year old maintenance tech and I was struggling with that volt this truck got it done thanks
easier to unplug and let sit a day, its the drain hole frozen over , youre doing way too much, let sit couple days tops and lower fridge and freezer settings, if your fridge does this its too high too cold
Wrong! This video did the trick. The hole was completely plugged on mine.
As a service technician for MFH you can't just unplug someone's fridge for 24 hours, and most of the time, there is food sludge stuck inside the control board tray. If you just let it defrost and there is food stuck in it- it will just leak into the fridge the next defrost cycle it will leak.
if there is time to wait and the drain hole isn’t plugged by gunk, this could work.
Mine doesn’t leak, it just has a bad odor. This video showed the access to the drainage so hopefully I can clean it and get rid of this horrible smell
6 years later, you’re still helping people. Thank you!!
One problem - our Frigidaire has the same exact problem but the housing does NOT have 4 screws holding it in place. It is a model FFTR1814QB3 - I don't know what is holding the housing in place. It looks exactly like the housing you unscrewed but there isn't any screws. Does it just pull apart from the top? Maybe you can help me solve this problem. Thank you
Same problem - I haven't even checked the model but we have a Frigidaire, I have the flu so I didn't mess with it today, but I did look at that part and there are no screws. If you happen to figure out how that comes out please let me know! I have to tackle it in a day or so when I'm feeling better.
I’d take a look to see if the housing is held by clips or similar. It may be worth to push and prod carefully to see where the holding points are and how to pry it off. Good luck.
Mine is almost the same model....and it also only has one screw which is shown in the online diagram. Great....its one of those snap or slide in deals I bet. Never fails with my luck....which usually means I'll break something. Also I had this issue when the unit was like 2 months old. It was the air diffuser gasket. I'm hoping this time its the tube in the tray clogged. Hope I can fix it myself. But thanks for the video!!! Edit....okay on mine there are two brown colored tabs near the rear of the controller assembly....the whole deal slides over those tabs....then you screw back in the one screw to hold it.
Very helpful.
Hey there. Now that I have finally found how to fix my problem...THANK YOU, BEEN SEARCHING EVERYWHERE FOR THIS FIX...I have one last task to fix it completely. Unfortunately, I DO have water underneath my crisper drawers, and it's only a slight leak through the front seal by the door. And I have a good amount of water there. How can I get that water out that's already there?
Are you asking how to absorb water that's somewhere you don't want it to be? Towels.
washers
Their new design sucks. And the way they bury their cartridge in the valves sucks. Period!
Couldn’t agree more, their design and serviceability of these faucets could be better.
Hello, thank you for the video. This is happening for my fridge and when the assembly is opened, the nipple and the drain pipe hole are clean and open. There is still water collected at the bottom of the fridge and leaks out. Do you possibly know what might be missing?
@@mazyare Hi, I would check to make sure all drain holes align properly so that water can drain.
Didnt work Could tbe black hose at tray be blocked and cause to back up?@weekendwarrior3814
Went i put water down with added nlue food color sll the top ones work Closed up snd next day leak on bottom of frig again@weekendwarrior3814
Thank you for the extremely helpful video! Tired of wiping up water off the kitchen floor!
Thanks for this video. I’ve been having this problem with mine. Followed your perfect instructions and hoping all is well tomorrow!!
Thank you for this. I will try tommorw
I doubted this after a huge pipe wrench failed, but sure enough, it worked. I am soaking cartridge in The Works too see if it has to be replaced - only had an annoying slow drip issue.
@@hoosierbuy glad it worked for you. If I recall correctly Delta will send you a free replacement cartridge. May want to check with them. Good luck.
Thank you!!
Could you use a rubber grommet 😊
THANK YOU!!!!
Just fixed our fridge following this video, thanks so much!
Worked a few years ago but not this time
Just use 1/4" hex nuts they are solid and cheap.
I have a GE Adora Fridge, would this also cause Ice build up in the bottom of the freezer? The unit is running fine aside from water dripping on my top shelf on Fridge and the thin ice layer in the freezer. Thanks!
I’m not familiar with that particular model, however, all fridges work about the same. It’s worth investigating if water isn’t draining freely, what can be in the way. Once that’s found, it usually solves the issue. Good luck!
This is the way. As soon as I did this, I was abke to remove it, after trying for a hour
Not being rude just my opinion way too much commentary people here to see a task completed not to hear you talk about it lol have a wonderful day tile looks good too
Thanks!
Thank You!! My wife wanted to buy a new thousand dollar refrigerator. 10 minutes I had it fixed👍🏻
Thank you for mentioning the tool needed! Now I can go to the hardware store and ask for the correct item!
My door watched that video...
@@jinr3d 😄
Excellent video! I could never find a video like yours. Now it is fixed because of your video! Thanks!!!
A little tip for those curious please do not use WD-40, the hinge will start squeezing in only a matter of time.
Very true, thanks for adding this insight 👍
Awesome video, fixed my squeaky door
Glad you got it fixed 👍
Thank you!!👍
Thanks, this was exactly why mune was leaking, easy fix!
Thank you so much!! This video saved us from buying a new refrigerator!
You know, I have never heard of this but I think that's my problem because there is water build up in the bottom and my refrigerator looks just like this. Thank you. I'm gonna clean it. ( Well , after the surgery , the patient is resting well - It had a clog and was iced over in the tray because of the clog. Don't put in a stint - watch this video.)
@@icemancometh8679 thanks for the post-surgery update, glad it worked :)
Awesome fix. Thank you so much!
This video is correct, but there is a simpler solution. Just open the freezer door, unplug the refrigerator, get a fan to blow into the freezer. Leave the door open and fan on for 4-6 hours until all ice is melted. 95% of the time, you'll just have ice buildup somewhere in the line that you cannot get to directly and this will solve your problem. Obviously, you will need to clear out your freezer of all food first, but your fridge should be fine as it is well insulated, and the food inside will keep itself cold.
Well then why does water glow thru very well ?
