Thank you, John. There are different perspectives on this. Thank you for yours. The last day here spoken of by Jesus is not a 24 hour day but a period of time encompassing all that God will do in the end time. I noticed you didn't present your counterpoint from the passage as I did. Also, Revelation was written by inspiration of God, the human author being John. The passage you cite is the seventh trumpet of the trumpet judgments. Much more is yet to come as you read on. The angel's announcement is declaring what shall be as a result.

I wouldn't read too much into cloud or clouds. Notice that a cloud hid Him from their sight (that doesn't necessarily mean there was only one cloud). Jesus rising in bodily form, ascending to heaven, wouldn’t need any more than one cloud to hide Him from their sight.

That's a good question and a topic for yet another sermon. One of the key areas is in the arena of prophecy. Many prophecies given long in advance foresaw what otherwise would seem unseeable. Thanks for watching and interacting.

@@firstbaptistofbristol6139 Vague prophecies likely to be fulfilled (like "you will die someday") aren't quite the same as verifiable data, which indicates a quite different universe than the Bible presents (for example, heliocentrism, round earth, and gaseous atmosphere).

not vague. Specific prophecies, like that of Isaiah in Isaiah 53, of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection, several hundred years before his arrival on this earth. Prophecies of kingdoms and the transfer of kingdoms in the book of Daniel. When I was young, yes, there was a "prophet" who would appear on tabloids at the supermarket just before the New Year. She would prophesy of things and most of them were general "duh" prophecies that most likely come true but even then most of her prophecies were off the mark. The Bible states that the true test of a prophet is if the prophecies come true. You asked about the Bible's reliability. That is one way to test its reliability. Do some research yourself on that. Jesus even predicted his death, burial and resurrection repeatedly before they happened, in specificity. There were eyewitnesses back then (over 500 in total - see 1 Corinthians 15) of his resurrection, many who were still alive at the time of that writing. Paul the apostle wrote that to the church at Corinth as if to say, go ask them yourself.

Isaiah spoke of a round earth several hundred years before Christ (over 2700 years ago). Isaiah 40:22
