เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 พ.ย. 2015
Founded in 1840, Nightingale Hammerson is a leading provider of residential, nursing, dementia, respite, and palliative care for the Jewish community.
Our two homes; Hammerson House and Nightingale House are vibrant places where Residents enjoy a full range of services, including GP visits, physiotherapy treatments and Clinical Psychology support. Daily activities include bridge, gardening, French conversation, quizzes, exercise classes, art clubs, choir singing, film nights, and much more.
Through our new initiative, Reach by Nightingale Hammerson, we are extending our care beyond our homes. Our goal is to help older people in the wider community to live better for longer at home and offer support for those who care for them. We are developing a comprehensive catalogue of practical information on healthy aging, dementia care, and more. In addition, we host regular events, including guest speakers and social get togethers, to keep those in the community connected and supported.

Intergenerational care is now adopted in many care homes around the UK and we would love to see the generations coming together in all care homes. For any homes wishing to learn more about the programme, we offer a training programme: ahneducation.org/services/what-we-offer.php. Please do get in touch if this is of interest.
Ruth is lovely, she made me laugh
Nice
I am pleased to see 7 members of the poetry group I ran before lockdown, their average age mid-90s. The lady at the end, Ann, often told me what she says to camera here -- that coming to Nightingale, after unhappy experiences elsewhere, restored her life. It is a remarkable place, but of course state funding falls far short of the costs of care. The rest has to come from chariable fundraising.
Nightingale Hammerson is a really special place. I am glad you got to enjoy some of the activities we offer for our incredible residents.
