A visit to the Powder River Basin, Wyoming in 1994
In 1994 I traveled across the USA from Denver to Seattle and across the upper midwest to Minneapolis. I had read about the coal fields in the Powder River Basin in Trains Magazine and wanted to see it for myself. Unfortunelately I had time for just a short stop at Reno Junction, Wyoming. The trains kept coming from all directions in those few minutes keeping both tracks polished. A decade or so later they had expanded to three tracks and in some places four tracks on the joint line.
Although my Sony Hi8 was brand new and almost state of the art it isn't quite what we are used to today. I wish I had more time and modern camera equipment.
Hope you enjoy this quick visit to Powder River Basin and the coal trains from Burlington Northern and Chicago and North Western/Union Pacific.

Trainwatching in fall colors (Trønderbanen)
มุมมอง 9223 ปีที่แล้ว
A day out railfanning in Trøndelag, Norway during the fall season. All scenes shot on October 27th 2020. Enjoy diesel locomotives north of Trondheim and electric locomotives south of Trondheim. In late october of 2020 it was time to take a day off from work and enjoy some nice fall colors while watching trains around Trondheim. I had to start pretty early to get to the first spot at a small pla...

Trackside along the Nordland line (Nordlandsbanen) in Norway

Come along as we explore the scenic Nordland line (Nordlandsbanen) in the northern part of Norway. From sea level at the city of Bodø, the gateway to the beautiful islands of Lofoten, we travel south across Saltfjellet and the Arctic Circle. We end this part in Trofors about half the way to Trondheim. The line is single tracked and not electrified so there's lots of awesome diesel power to be s...

Hva skjedde med anlegget og hvor ble det av George Felix Canada? Noen som vet hans virkelige navn?

I believe there is an error in your caption at 8:52. According to the diagram to which you linked in your reply to Mar 1294, train 474 terminates at Mosjoen, not Trondheim. A DMU like the one pictured would not be a very comfortable place to spend a ten-hour journey!

Ah... you are right, but I think, also wrong at the same time. From what I can remember, this was an empty train going all the way to Trondheim closely following the schedule of #474 which had been cancelled because of Covid-restrictions. Thanks for pointing this out.

They run about 6 round trips every day. You can find the schedule here: www.banenor.no/kundeportal/ruter-og-sportilgang/grafiske-togruter2/ Download #15 Bodø-Grong and look at trains 5761-5772 between Mo i Rana and Ørtfjell. Enjoy :-)
