Congratulations on the 5k milestone, Mr Kgengwenyane 🎉🎉🎉 Your podcast episodes have really been eye-opening for me towards a lot of issues that aren't really discussed by my age mates. Please, keep the episodes coming. As a young Motswana, 20 years of age, it would be great to have an understanding of the future our current generation leaders are building so as to navigate the landscape in which possibilities for economic improvement and diversification seem endless. By all means, address the stipulated subject using your own discretion and with your own understanding whenever you find the chance.
Insightful 💯
BW government should be serious about diversifying the economy, truth is diamonds sales will continue to decline, the manufacturing of those fake diamonds will be the end of natural diamonds, yes we can try be more reactive with our marketing but how do we deal with Pandora for eg with their cheap prices and green marketing. great show btw
The Temptations - I've never been to me 1:32:52
Public funding institution like CEDA BDC should only fund projects that are in the productive industries, like manufacturing, processing and agriculture. BDC wasted money on that Maun mall.
Botswana 🇧🇼 still will go strong
Could you activate the download button, I've temporary WiFi as is😢😢
😅i have the attention span of a fish. These paodcasts are so insightful i become a part of conversation in spirit. BEAUTIFUL ENDING, we have that thing💎, that makes us special as nation, and a lot of it comes with realizing we came from being the poorest nation global in the 60's!!!😮, to breaking world records in half a century. Mind blowing!!. I am proud to be a Motswana🇧🇼, and to imagine we still haven't tapped in to our fullest potential with all resources on the table...,the elections in my opinion demonstrate that there is a greater awareness amongst Batswana, and with awareness, there is always a bright future.
Very insightful 🔥🔥🔥

👌👌🙏
Speaking of the spikes in excellence that tends to shock us,Prof here is one of those👌..Genius with a sense of humour..Loved this podcast💯
I understand why people in academia may have not seen the storm coming, they are generally a detached lot choosing to spend time in isolation or amongst themselves. For some of us who live amongst the common man, who interact on social media and frequent bars and churches, we knew this thing was happening. The only thing we did not know as DGB said was the intensity of the triumph/defeat depending on which side you are on that is why people started talking about hang parliament, they knew the bdp were not going to reach the threshold
My first time on this channel, very much inspired. BDP will be back soon, that I can assure everyone. But I can say I love my country. see how we presented democracy to the world.
Why do u want it back??
This was predictable.in the last elections udc had a good chance all that changed overnight when the now President addressed the nation during the debate and tables turned.Every speech Mr Masisi made reduced the power. The language he used has never been accepted.only pple knew they didn't have a choice.
Thank you for sharing such information Prof. I heard the Governor of the Bank of Botswana saying that the country is not broke because the government can still pay salaries. However, in your interview , you mentioned that we are in a recession. Could you expand more on that, Prof?
Thanks Prof, I incidentally put on my social media platforms that it is about time people in academia conduct a post-election research as to establish what actually happened. I also in the same breadth put up a statement that the outcome of BW elections can in future be used to teach about sub-marines and how they can hide below the deep waters and at the appointed time torpedo a giant ship that is not only a giant but relishes on its greatness and majesty. As if that is not enough, I put a statement (on 31 Oct) in which I wished someone could help me understand the psyche of the BW people who were moving in the streets casually with no visible sign nor excitement associated with revolutionaries. Thumbs up for this your first PODCAST, the punchy jokes here and there made it even more exciting. It would be amiss of me not to thank your host not only for the PODCAST but also for the diversity of speakers he brings to this forum.
A very insightful podcast, I like the fact that the PROF is non committal on the future. Honestly no one knows as we are all still processing this earthquake outcome of an election
Prof. E. B. always explicit.
Always looking forward to the next podcast on this channel.
The bar has always been low with BDP. UDC will do well
Zambia did it first!
I know that many don't believe that this God that we worship but we have never seen is alive. The things of God can never make sense to a human mind. Whether you believe it or not, it was not of man but God, just wait and see more unbelievable things happening in Botswana🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
The professor I don't know which part of botswana.
""Economic intervention takes time"" Thanks. Understandable. ""We do not have money...we are not Moses."" Oh yeah.
What's your view on the new democracy called African Democracy?
Isn't closing the leaks, all of them one of the solutions to boost fiscal reality?
My teacher
Very educational indeed...the professor knows his staff and I love the fact that health is also part of the programme...
Know thyself!
What's your thought on misinformation , disinformation etc
BDP recuperating
Principle of probation
Patience of the public, UDC must be realistic
Different setbacks
A strong foundation
Having a Professor simplify complex concepts & insights and makes it funny 😂 makes one eager to pursue more knowledge. Really inspired 💯, first time watcher and you have gained a subscriber
Much appreciated...
@@oabonamichaelkgengwenyane3544is this much appreciated simply for listening to professorial narratives ... Botswana is coming a long way independent ... but look at the level of illiteracy, poverty, unemployment, inadequate health care etc ... yet academics just watch on indifferently and comfortably acclaim democracy.
Intermittent fasting, eating on intervals
Thanks very much for such an informative and inspiring interview. Wow! I liked that sense of humor 🙏🙏
I haven't seen the whole video but the UDC victories during the by elections should have given us a hint of what may transpire
Yes, the writing was on the wall and they ignored it. UDC has won almost all the by elections and they gave it a blind eye. The trend was there
This is the true position of things now. I wish things didn't go bad beyond this level .
Also explain Bafokeng royals, Pitso Mosimane, Motsepe…Malema, Motlanthe, Mangope…the three Dikgosi, etc
Why
The day we define who we are..🔥🔥
First time coming across this channel, great conversation. You have gained a new follower🎉
Thoroughly enjoyed the discussion, very insightful
Change was long overdue
That's My Prof. He will say it as is🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
I wish the Prof should give his analysis😢on this; the opposition been accumulating brainpower (since Motswaledi era/BMD) at the expense of the ruling party. My observation as a street kid…the voter been noticing, the BW voter is way ahead of the experts!
