Rhinos' Dominance & Panthers' Fight: Grand Final Recap
I like it. Gives Amature sides the chance to get action against the big men. And League 1 and champ teams have a chance to get in some extra money from attracting SL teams to their grounds. WIN/WIN
❤❤❤❤❤😊
Leeds are the worst team ever
I honestly think that the ticket prices have caused fans to stop going. You can see the crowds being lower than pre 2020
I only know Ben Curry from Sale😂
Hull FC needed this change
They absolutely did. Not sure if they have invested enough though to make a push for the playoffs. What do you think?
@rugbyleagueoutsiders As a hull kr fan I refuse to believe we'll be playing them in the play offs😂
Finally a rugby podcast I can listen to
Thanks, Welcome on board.
One thing for sure is that there will be a few cricket scores in these games.
That's for certain however it is exciting for amateur teams to be able to play against the big boys
Happy New Year chaps. Great show. Liked the piece on crowd breakdowns & as always "The Sniper" was class. Cheers.
Happy New Year Joe. Great to see you back, as always thanks for watching.
I love both codes. Watch an enormous amount of both.
What do you think of a hybrid match?
@@rugbyleagueoutsiders Still haven’t watched it yet. I understand the concept of bringing both games together. I’d rather just watch one or the other.
Same
Saying goodbye to RL now and if you can't work out why given what's taken, taking place at present.
No chance RL will go to the wall. It might have its struggles at the moment but take a look at the NRL in Australia. It is thriving.
@@rugbyleagueoutsiders Couldn't care less about RL or its imaginary family!
I was at NRL event in Vegas last year. Best weekend of my life. If you came to Las Vegas for this next one you wouldn’t give up on it.
@@usarugbyleagueunionfan Thanks but no thanks I've been an RL fan since 1965 and have followed it all over from Barcelona to Scotland and all around France. I've not given up on RL it gave up on me TBH. I've divested myself of every link to the game and despite your advice even the tinsel cut-out scenes, slot machine riches and flashing neon signs can't revive the dead!
@@russelljohnson1865 OK. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like it’s not the right sport for you now.
Couple of things to answer.. 1. Hull will finish bottom, they only finished above london by points difference and that was a team that finished 5th in the championship the year before. 2. I called for super league clubs to enter the cup in an earlier round before they announced it, it's what the cup needs and the lower clubs need money so playing top clubs at home will do just that
And welcome to lge 1 😂 ouch!
Good friday, Hull derby is a great day for the city. To me, it's the most important and "proper" derby in Super League. However, im from Hull, so I might be biased 😂.
😆 cheers Dan, It's certainly a big derby game. Every fan will always vote for their own derby match though 😆
@@rugbyleagueoutsiders tbf Bradford vs Leeds might be bigger.... but that ship has long sailed.
Long...... Sailed. 😆
It is bias against Northerners lol
Another great show as always gents! Will the Midlands 9s festival be running this year? All the boys at Worcester Rebels loved last years event
It has been rumoured that if something happens at Bradford Northern then Karl will be their new head coach.
Played both myself. Love Both.
Hey guys, you should get your podcast on Spotify
Hi mate. We used to post to all podcast channels however the most views were always on TH-cam. As there are just the two of us we need to cut down on admin so it will just be TH-cam for the time being.
5:04 Catalan showed off the Challenge Cup that they won in 2018 at a Barcelona FC home game. Catalonia reaches far south of the French Spanish border. Barca invited Les Dracs to play at Camp Nou, and they invited Wigan.
Thanks Steve.
Abdul gone!
Can I just ask why I can't find your pod on Spotify anymore ⚫⚪
We decided to cut down on admin duties as there are just the two of us and more people watched/listened on TH-cam. For now we will be sticking with YT. 👍
@rugbyleagueoutsiders fair enough lads

Eorl Crabtree is a big human. I walked past him at Elland Road when I were there for Magic Weekend.
Unit of a man. Nice bloke as well by all accounts.
You have the discipline becasue if you dont its not just you getting punished for it its all your teamates and thats the one thing you dont want to do is let your teamates down
Great comment.
I remember the early days of Bradford Vs Leeds. Very exciting games with an immense atmosphere.
Shit ball boy though! 😂
@KarlWalker-b6n tbf, it might be the only game close to FC vs. KR..
That Camp Nou crowd was a *Catalan* crowd at the height of the repression following the independence referendum. It was a crowd of resistance, a political crowd, a demonstration of Catalan identity. I doubt half the people there had ever attended a rugby league game before, or have since. I'm not sneering at it - the very opposite - but it's important to recognise what this was. I'd like to see a game at Camp Nou every year and the promotion of the game in Barcelona and throughout Catalonia.
Hey Martin, Great comment thank you for your insight and filling in our knowledge gap. I'm sure Wigan took a decent following over with it being in Barca too. I'm with you, I would love to see another game there to see how it does. It can only be a positive move for Catalan Dragons.
Wow.. I didn’t know that.
Do you think Catalan and Toulouse should be in the English leagues I think they should
Hi Sonny. 100% think Catalan should be in Super League however I would like to see a route into SL from the French division (Super13) at some point. I think it is important the French division continues to grow. Toulouse have also been a success in my eyes.
@ completely agree
One thing on the derby debate hull kr have been in the championship for some seasons
Very true.
That’s a great point.
Barcelona invited catalan to play a game at the nou camp after winning the challenge cup
The crowd numbers have been paltry I think compared to the numbers the NRL gets.
True but the Nrl is the number one sport in Australia.
@rugbyleagueoutsiders I think the AFL is actually. When I lived over there it was even part of the AFL's slogan "It's Australia's game"
👍
@@RugbyLeagueHistory, not according to V'ylandys 😂
@@JRPete NRL has officially taken over as no 1 in Aus guys. We all know that one thing the NRL does it create excitement, they manage to get those spine tingle feelings going and they deliver a great engaging 'product' to their fans. I hate calling it a product but it's the way of the world thesedays and unfortunately that's how Vlandys and Abdo see it. IMG need to go, that dire joke journalist reporter who is head of bbc rugby league needs to go, and sky need to step up and take RL seriously, not have it on some random channel that not everyone can access. Supporting shows like RL Outsiders helps us bridge that gap, one viewer/subscriber at a time. Let's get rid of all that crap out there.
No. Just no.
Woke bullshit 👍
Raiders fan here... Super League have got a gem in Rapana. Hes a leader, workhorse, a proper players player. He will set the league alight
Thanks for that, We did notice he was going to retire before being offered a deal at Hull FC. We are doing an in-depth look with him on this week show.
The Leigh season ticket is well worth its value
Rugby League Outsiders have rebranded with a new logo and a new intro.
What do you think mate?
@@rugbyleagueoutsiders It's pretty good like.
Cheers mate. We will keep the cow as our mascot.
I am new here and keep it up with great work
Hey Jordan, Thanks for the kind comment. Welcome onboard.
League is the only sport in the world that has an exciting kickoff and an exciting last-minute play. The 745 match might be the bridge to merge league and union.
Arguably NFL...but not for me. League all the wayyyy
Kickoffs in the NFL are terrible. It hardly ever gets returned these days.
I think the best bet for grand final in Salford 50/1 ew have €2.50ew... getting nearly double the odds. I backed leigh 5ew 66/1 last year... I was gutted one game away. Really wanted a leigh v hull kr final... My reasoning for Salford is, when haven't they had money problems??? But the stadium deal is done and they got 500k up front, they play really attractive attacking style of rugby and last year either won or lost by 1-6 points 90% of time, meaning very competitive and very few blowouts... Salford are fighting for survival, more on the line for them. Where as hull fc can finish bottom forever knowing they wont go down because of img grading
Have Salford got enough depth ? Get your reasoning, just a little worried they may fade towards the business end of the season.
I doubt very much Sinfield cares about a knighthood, that's for the imposters!!....
I hate all the bullshit honours system!!! It has to go. Or it should just be for people like Kevin who actually do some good in the world. Not for friends of politicians who've been passing around brown envelopes full of cash and then end up in the house of lords. Lords my backside!
Yessss 😆
20 yr suspension is sending a clear message to others coming through. This single action may well save a generation of future players from going down a slippery slope.
Suspension for what
Direct flights to perpignan from lba
Happy New Year guys! Enjoying the new graphics. Good luck to Telford this weekend in the challenge cup! On Karls' topic of crowds, I went to go see Saracens vs Harlequins at Tottenham last year, mainly go see the stadium and not have to pay Premier League prices. It was about £25 a ticket. I think we should see more exhibition games at this big stadiums.
Happy New Year Ollie. Thanks for the comment, I think its a good idea to take games on the road, they used to do it in the early days of Super League. I remember going to Leicester to watch Bradford play and it was very popular. I will pass on your good luck message to Telford.
Real happy with the Castleford signings. Lets GO CAS!!!
You guys have smashed it with the signings. Gonna be a big season ahead 💪
He should resign. He's clearly not upto it.
I don't think there's an "expensive" season ticket in rugby league. It offer's tremendous value in comparison with other sports. Whether it's Leigh or Huddersfield or anyone in between rugby league offers it's fans great value for money watching the most exciting game out there.
Great comment. 100% agree.
@@rugbyleagueoutsiders You only have to look at soccer. It's ridiculous pricing, all for watching some folk kick a bag of wind about 😂. I wouldn't pay them prices if I had money to paper the walls with.
@@danielmclintock648 😂🤣😅
@@rugbyleagueoutsiders Exactly. We follow the best sport in the world and the best value sport in the world. I could follow half of Superleague for the price of an average season ticket in the premiership.
I've never seen theese guys say a good word about leeds . And he claims he's a supporter. Always putting the club down .
Actually we have both been complementary about some areas of the Leeds set up, but I’m sure you’ll agree the on-field performances and back room politics have been lacking for a while. That said, we lament Brad Arthur’s influence in the latest episode and we’re looking for a much more positive season this year.
Can't wait to see big dog JWH up against Luke taking the piss. My NRL Roosters could struggle next season without them and other super stars
Karl ! Rapana would one thousand percent get another gig in the NRL !!!! He's the literally the last guy that would just go to SL for the sake of it.
