Great video, I am from Austin Texas born and raised its cool but I been there all my life. I am considering moving to the H-town later on in life I just like Houston a lot of people ask me why I like Houston. I tell them I just I like Houston I love the good vibes and culture in Houston, so many good restaurants and food spots Houston literally has everything Everytime I go to Houston I have a good time. I plan to get my own church built out there and start my pastoral ministry. If it’s God plans I will move to Houston.

The humidity statement is wrong...humidity can be very high however that is only when the temperatures are low as in the early morning. If is it 100F, the humidity will be much lower. The flooding due to extreme rain is localized and actually rare. Power outages are handled by a gas driven generator quite nicely. Gas prices are dirt cheap compared to other major cities. No income tax state or local, only property taxes. When you are 65, taxes are frozen no matter what the yearly valuation says. Overall, much nicer than LA, much nicer than NYC, and close to the Ocean.

I have to ask, but I want to know. Are you,or the family going to be back on TV again? Sooner than later.

I'm from Houston. Grew up on the north side. I left in 2015 to work for dallas transit. Houston has changed for the worst. I dont like to come visit anymore

The extreme summers have worsened since I was a child ( I am 64). I was told that the main reason was the ozone layer is no longer there to protect us. We have refineries in the area along with other substances that are bad for the ozone and we don't have as much protection anymore. I recall as a child we played outside during the summers. I never go outside anymore. Potentially bad hurricanes do not come every year. My first hurricane was in 1961. The next one was in the early 1980s but it was no where as severe as 1961. The next really bad one was 2008. So, I experienced house flooding only in 1961 and 2007- Hurricane Carla and Hurricane Ike ~ I live in Galveston. Traffic has always been an issue in Houston. Look at where the majority people live and that is your traffic. When Houston was young they did not plan for the current size- that is why they do not have Darts and trains. There had been talk about it once upon a time- and that it remained- talk. Zoning has always been an issues- that would be poor planning on Houston city council -early in the game. Mosquitos- find out the remedy and this will not be an issue. Toll roads were built to relieve the freeways. -- they have.

Houston is my Hometown, avoid if you cant handle brutal summers, and traffic. It's still a good place. I'm living in Southwest Florida today.

1st of all, any city along the I-10 corridor get super hot weather in the summer; San Diego, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Mobile, Phoenix, etc. #2) All major metropolitan cities have urban sprawl. Traffic congestion is unavoidable in big cities. This is nothing you won't get living in Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia, etc. 3). If you still have cable in 2025, you're not to bright. We got rid of our cable 2 years ago. #4). No big city has public transportation to the suburbs, duhhh 😮. #5). All toll roads have service roads on the bottom or outside. I never use them, I don't need to. I can tell our host haven't been many places (no offense). The state of Florida & the whole northeastern corner has 3 times as many toll roads as Houston. #6). As far as flooding, as she said, it not everywhere, I personally live in an area where it doesn't flood. All you have to do is ask or drive around to that area during a major rain. And as far as hurricanes go, California & the west have wildfires & earthquakes, the northeastern corner has blizzards in the winter, central states get tornadoes, Seattle gets rainfall 75% of the season. Point being, wherever you live, you're going to get something. So to me, this video wasn't very helpful. I moved to Houston in 2005 & I absolutely love it. ❤

I have been living in Houston/Cypress area for 25 years and driving every day like 70miles round trip to work and I’m still alive lol .Generally I think Houston is economically stable even back to 2008 market crash there was still jobs opportunities.

Im a truck driver and the 99 toll will take you a 2 hours and 30 minutes to travel across the whole outer perimeters of Houston. Thats how huge it is.😮

You didn’t even mention the chiggers, stinging red fire ants, cockroaches the size of your thumbs, stink bugs, or the asps. Those are furry venomous slugs! 😃👍

Think Los Angeles with crappy weather , no scenery, and insects you never thought of.

There are reasons why you can buy a house here for $300K that would cost double or triple that elsewhere in the country. As with most things in life, there are always trade-offs and pros and cons.

There is NOT a booming Job market. When i was laid off from Oil and Gas i could not find another suitable paying job so i left the state.

Property taxes in Texas in my opinion are a corruption filled process. The counties set their own rates, set and process the appraisals, and collect the funds. Three times since I have lived here the state has intervened in some fashion to reduce the burden on taxpayers; but, within a few years by adjusting rates and appraisals the counties are collecting just as much or more from taxpayers...with the "school taxes" being the worst money pit. Also, there is a wide variance between counties; the same sized and valued house in one county might result in a $3K tax bill, but more that $5K in another. As far as I can tell the only solution to the problem is for the state to take over the process - set the tax rates, do the appraisals and manage the collection process. Until then the taxpayers will continue to be screwed.

I pay 15 euros for my wifi connection and satellite tv in germany.super fast internet service.and oh pay 10 euro for my phone bill with 65gb internet and unlimited talk time and text all over the EU.and i pay 180 euro as a property tax for my 3 bedrooms house.300 euro for car insurance for entire year

My elderly mother relocated from Houston after she was mugged downtown. Earlier, her friend was mugged in front of her own house. It was never reported on the news. It's a disgusting city.

Houston has had 1 party rule (democrat) for over 40 years! The result is high crime & high taxes.
