Unreal Engine 5.4 - Have you ever seen this?
มุมมอง 887 หลายเดือนก่อน
Why are my trees like an elevator? Everything is nanite from landscape to rocks. PCG works fine its when I start to use the Foliage tool all is happy then I place like 2K plants and poof it all stars doing this? Anyone ever see this and maybe knows the cause?

Reset your mesh's pivot point in UE5. Using the UE5 Modeling Tools.
มุมมอง 2532 ปีที่แล้ว
I imported a set of meshes into my project and they were not sized correctly for UE proportions. Sure I could have exported into Blender scaled it and exported it back into UE, or I could just do this. Covers: - Meshes - Modeling Editor Tools - Pivot - Baking Mesh
Export to Blender or use the UE5 Modeling Editor Tools?
มุมมอง 522 ปีที่แล้ว
Quick and dirty way to prototype meshes without re-sizing in Blender. This is probably not the best way to do things, but its the way I found works best for me, someone with very little time. I used the convert tool often but just simply running a convert to mesh after the object was resized, didn't have the expected outcome. Covers: DT_Items Mesh Mesh Resizing Mesh Edit Play

This method will work on any project and does not need to be ESRP as a base. A big thanks to @feeling.atom from the Oceanology channel, he did all the hard work, I just made the video :D Note: Not an ESRPG and Oceanology Integration, this is just a video on Oceanology 5 and God Rays.
Riverology + Fluid Ninja Waterfalls
มุมมอง 5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Here is another sample of the Waterfalls using Fluid Ninja and the 3 sets of rivers using Riverology. This gives you a pretty good idea of how you can make it all fit. Since Riverology is spline based I had to cover the end points with stones prior to adding the waterfalls. The waterfalls are from the Small Water Bodies Usecase in Fluid Ninja, and I tweaked the Materials color to adjust to each...
Darkened up the waterfall to mute some of the florescent colors.

    Has to do with a Material Function and Nanite enabled.

    looks like its trying to react with wind some how, is the wind direction set vertically up/down?

      I am just using UDS with no wind settings (default is like 1.2) so strange and If I delete all the Foliage, it goes away as one would expect :\

    Which would you recommend Fluid Ninja Live or Fluid Flux? I was all for Fluid Flux but Fluid Ninja Live seems like a very good alternative and has a couple of extra things you could do with it.

    • @UnrealNewb
      @UnrealNewb 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ninja Live from what I know is not replicated. Yes it has a ton of cool FX and is far cheaper than Fluid Flux. It also uses this target you attach to your characters feet, but when your character is on a horse as an example some of those cool "ground FX" are in the air and it looks bad.

    Can you please make a video on how to block water from within meshes/volumes in UE5?

    • @UnrealNewb

      Let me think about what your after for a moment

    • @alexthemle
      @alexthemle 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Essentially let's say you have a small boat that you make floatable. Oceanology by default will penetrate the mesh making it look like there's waves/water inside the boat. I think there's a way to not allow water inside the boat using a distant field on an invisible mask mesh. But I'm not sure how any of that works in UE5

    Very nice. But, could I suggest you work out a way to remove the underwater caustic effects when in shadow. In nature, that is the way it is afterall. Something similar to this Blender example for instance: th-cam.com/video/mmk09JJNKJU/w-d-xo.html

    Is it just the niagara water fluid that's not colliding with the rock meshes, or is it not fully fluid simulated water in the water fall? Just asking because i'm sitting on the fence about buying Fluid Flux. Since it also let's you bake, it should be possible to create baked LOD's of ocean and far rivers/lakes i guess?! Do you perhaps have any suggestions on cheaper and better plugins to get almost finished BP's for water/rivers that also have fluid simulation options?`

    • @UnrealNewb
      @UnrealNewb 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Q: Is it just the niagara water fluid that's not colliding with the rock meshes A: Correct The river is just flat. @Galidar, has updated he's RIverology to include waterfalls since this video. The waterfall is using Fluid Ninja LIVE Component (Niagara Systems - Small water bodies waterfalls), and I am using Riverology. I believe they are 2 different types of FX and 2 very different plugins. I am not baking anything and running it in real-time. I just tried to match the environment colors and where they both intersection. Here are the links and the plugin creators should be able to answer your questions. www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/fluidninja-live www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/riverology
