I agree about the school to a certain degree. They are learning to use these tools; but when hit with any type of crisis or moment where they need to use critical thinking or problem solving, they are unable to do so. Their emotional intelligence and ability to cope are the cost. There should be balance in the schools because both the physical and social sciences are needed for work and life. (Parents are responsible to play a part in all of this too; but it can be a beautiful relationship if both things align). Great episode guys!!!!

Don’t sign it unless you really did it.

I never pressure assosiates to sign because it literally has no bearing on decisions or outcomes. Bro is 100% correct, it's just you acknowledging the conversation. *fun fact* When you do orientation and they go over the handbook you have to sign for your handbook in order to be hired. THAT signature in orientation is a contract where you're acknowledging your awareness of ALL policies and your agreement to follow. So in a sense, you've already "pre signed" any future write ups.

I always sign and give my REAL feelings in the comments section. On my only and last, they took it off of my records after 90 days. I emailed myself a copy of their write up and my rebuttal. It lives on and they were wrong!

It’s going in your file regardless, and if you refuse to sign it, you’ll be marked as non compliant. Having these types of write ups being placed in your file in a regular basis can hurt career progression/salary but also create a pathway for termination

I totally agree with Mel’s take on the Jamie Foxx special. I felt disappointed and I was not emotionally moved by it. The comments I read across social media by friends and others saying they shed tears had me anticipating a moment that never happened for me. I would have preferred that he told his story in an interview vs something I feel was framed into entertainment.
