ONTO THE NEXT CHAPTER WE GO!
Thank you for sharing this. I’ve followed your channel for years and this video really spoke to me. I remember I was so afraid to run my first marathon because I didn’t want to DQ. And my race was fine but it was in my head the whole race. Now that it’s behind me I feel so much lighter about doing anything.
"Ignore your injuries". That hits deep because I almost gave up on running my first half marathon because it i was not recovering fast enough from my achilles injury(both legs). I did it, and now I realized how much I'd regret it if I didn't do it. I also had double patellar tendinitis for years, I slowed down the last 2 weeks, gave it a try, and ended up finishing in a much better time, no knee pain at all and my achilles kept the same level of pain, probably 2/10 for the whole race. So that changed my perspective on injuries and of course you need to be careful but most of the times you should push through it.
Love the determination, its inspiring
In his fantasy world he believes he did finish a half ironman, run a 3:17 marathon and is elite but the guy is a tool and good at nothing. Look at his strava, he spends more time figuring out how to lie and look good than to put any kind of work into anything. He is a nobody, always will be a nobody and the only good he could do is walk in front of a moving bus so we don’t have to look at his crazy eyes again
Way to go bro!
i'm glad you finally admitted that you didn't finish the half ironman instead of pretending like you finished it lol - also your half marathon time was 1:56 hrs not "somewhere around 1:40"
Hey man your resiliency is amazing! I didn’t end up going into my triathlon because I couldn’t nail down the swim. Getting back into the pool this week so just wanted to thank you for all that you do! Cool to see an Indian guy in this space also Luke Hopkins is an insane athlete 💪🏽😂
I had a realllly similar experience (though not 70.3 distance) I did the Maple Grove Triathlon in 2023 (Olympic distance) and finished dead last in the 0.9 mile swim, I think my average spilt was 3:00/100m. I made up some time in the bike and run and finished, but it still felt awful. Since then I’ve completed a marathon and I’m looking to check off the 70.3 - back in the pool for the winter arc!!
I’m so glad you started an endurance training channel! You got me into taking running more seriously.
Hey Nikhil! Wanted to take the time to thank you! I finished a half-marathon a month ago and your videos definitely helped!
I know you get desensitised to these type of comments, but your mindset and pursuits genuinely impact my everyday conduct. Been watching for 4-5 years and improving constantly
I appreciate it
Wow wow wow... Amazing.. Caps thr best.. Inspiring as always.. Go boss
Next up ultra territory!

Kings to you sir! I might be volunteering in Indian Wells, good luck you got this! Side note, the people are waiting for the full IM arc or the Leadville 100
Bro - I wish I would have talked to you before - I switched my race to Haines City!
Congratulations man, very impressive.
congrats on the race! can't wait to see what you come up with in the next season 🤝
Captain (sinbad), no matter what they throw at you, we’ve got your back. They don’t know the real you..but we do. Now prove ‘em wrong.
Ahh man, you should have uploaded this banger on your main channel. Would have def helped with views and stuff.
💪 💪 respect
Congrats man, ignore the haters
I have a lot of respect for endurance athletes. Congrats on your achievements!
Bro… you’re the GOAT! LETS FUCKING GO!
Imagine lying about your marathon time and iron man
I find it hard to believe you didn't check the official time that's like the first thing you do after a marathon, especially when you cross and the finish says like 3:21. I saw you told Floberg on Instagram you ran a 3:17 too. And why would Strava be that far off?
Because he trimmed his Strava activity to be exactly 26.2 mi even though you always run more in an actual marathon
It's a good time and excellent to run a 3:21. Your correct it's not a 3:17 though. On strava the other runners were about a quarter mile over so if you add that to the time you get at most 3:19. Most likely an additional few minutes for stopping in addition to cutting off the watch right at 26.2. Excellent time, but needed to be called out.
Strava time was a 3:17 -- official time on Twin Cities app was a 3:21! I did not check the app before making the vid. One more note about Ironman 70.3 Wisconsin. It's true -- they pulled my tag on the swim because I was taking too long. But I did complete all of it. I ran past security to get on the bike, and once again for the run. My unofficial finish time was 7 hours, 38 min. This is not something I am hiding, and everyone I've talked to about the race -- I told as such. I think its kind of badass to finish even if you're disqualified. You can check my instagram and see that I did cross the finish line and I DID cover 70.3 miles within the alloted time. It seems there's a vocal minority determined to put me down, while continuing to track the journey. I will not be stopped!
@@SinbadTrains It's easy to see on your Strava that the total distance is trimmed to be exactly a marathon. While all others tagged in the group you ran, have run longer than 42.2(happens in actual marathon), you seem to have run exact marathon distance. That's a surprise as Strava allows users to trim the run. Also after running multiple marathons, you should understand by now how these things work..
Hell yeah man, keep going.
bro why'd you delete my comment calling out how you're lying about your marathon times and ironman finishes
I agree dude.. 3:21:42 is his official finish time.. he says 3:17 in this video.. what a lie.😂
Weird to lie about since we can see the results, but I still enjoy the videos. Maybe Strava time was a 3:17?
Never deleted any comments.
@@vivekpai6904 And the official Ironman website says he DNFed and missed the swim cutoff time but he keeps insisting he finished the half ironman?
#sinbadisafraud
Awesome race and breakdown! I've enjoyed following the marathon journey
Heyyy nikhil! Missed you uncut and honest like this. As a past subscriber, seeing you being so authentic again warms my heart.
I finally found the secret channel, but stop using big words 🤣
do you use a certain company for your sleeping equipment (e.g, pillows, mattress, sheets, etc)?
Ten miles at 7:00 per mile pace is not marathon specific. You’ll get much more bang for your buck doing 2 x 8 miles at MP plus 10 seconds per mile or something similar. Your half marathon time indicates you don’t lack speed, you lack endurance. So just do loads of work at around LT1 and you’ll get the results on race day. Forget speed work now, it’s irrelevant
Dude, I started doing the orange juice thing a couple weeks ago, Aunt. It's such a better way to get carbs instead of slamming bagels and pasta. Walked away this weekend with a 1:30:19 half - putting me around a 3:05:00 marathon, hoping to push and get a sub 3 this year. But Like you said, I have to be okay with knowing my physiological limit right now, Aunt, no my mental pain tolerance isn't as high as it could be, and is my biggest limiting factor. But dude you need to try the big carb load, its a game changer. 700g x 2 days is something that WILL help you not bonk. Also, a half gallon of water might be too much <2 hours from the race. 10 miles per day might be too much, and you might break yourself before the race - let the training peak, then save the long miles for race day and let your coach be your governor. You HAVE to drop the ego completely. Ive been doing this for almost 10 years, and the last four that I've come back, I've ran with ego, and It's swallowed me up and spit me out every single time. Last thought - you're not running 6:15s at the end. I thought I could do the same type of thing, and it just doesnt happen. Maybe the last 0.25 miles you see the finish line and you empty the tank, but its not realistic to try and make up more than 5 seconds per mile in the last 2 miles. Remember you're 2 years into this, and once you start getting closer and closer to your physical limit, it becomes harder and harder to shave off time. Your if your previous best was 3:34, realistically in a year you could probably get down to 3:15 if you train really well. I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but you have to drop the ego and run realistically. Most races don't go as planned, even if your training did. Good luck dude!
What’s your Strava username mate?
night before the race carbs dont even get converted to glucose by the time of the race. carb load 72 hours before
Gels during race don’t get converted until 4 weeks after race
@@timkavanaugh6474 do you know the differenfe between simple and complex carbohydrates? Energy systems? Turn your brain on
@@victorbesil3631 carbs the night before are pointless, I agree it takes weeks to convert.
@@timkavanaugh6474 info is free out there. Take your time to read before commenting youtube videos lmao
@@victorbesil3631 no carbs day before
80% of the last month of training comes from the month before the last month’s training.
Think this is solid perspective, where you’re at vs where you want to be. Temps coming down can only help
17:02 Why you gotta do @nico.felich dirty like that?😂

Toatally agree with your winter running comment, I live in Northern NJ and my negative degree runs are some of my favorites, frozen eyebrows, frozen eyelashes and and empty park are great memories you can't explain to people that haven't experience them. I also agree with being in nature clears your mind and gives you focus, I also do creative work as a UX designer and some of my best creative solutions happen when I'm running.
