    Wow, I just stumbled onto your channel. Thank you, your commonplace system has really ignited a fire under me to go deeper in mine. I have been a bit neglectful of mine because I was doing the copy information of my interests. I was definitely following the “rules” which at first gave me comfort, but over time I think became too detached for my liking. So many ideas and expansive thoughts just popped up in my mind while watching your wonderful video! Another subscriber !👏🏽🌟

    I thought I lost the internet in the end (I'm listening as I clean things up in my house) :D I've been journaling/commonplacing for som any years and it never really struck me to involve both the text AND my reflections on it. And to art not to make it pretty, but to make it easily readable! Thank you so much for the video

    It was interesting seeing your set up and how much you write. I don’t know if I could do that much without my writing turning into an undecipherable scrawl, but I always appreciate when anyone else does it. Just one thing…..you mentioned once a month you have major problems. I used to have uncontrollable temper each month. So suggested I eat two bananas a few days before my period was due and carry on eating them till a couple of days after I’d started my period. Initially I laughed, thinking it wouldn’t be any use, but I did try it and I did it every month, and I never had another temper issue, in fact everything was so calm. It might be worth trying.

I never thought of it that way and now I’m excited to flip back through my pages and find those common threads

    Loved this video, it was so good I would never have guessed it was your first video ever. I have to say I was laughing when you got to the Sterling Ink review. I completely agree, something about that planner is so cold. Don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT planner and in fact I've used an A6 Sterling Ink for most of 2024; I definitely recommend for people to explore it. But it just doesn't resonate with me for some reason. Hobonichi has a great personality, but not the functionality I need. I'm in a Wonderland222 for 2025 and so far love it. I love your characterization of planner-hopping as "experimenting". Not every planner is perfect for every person, so it's nice to try out several brands if you can to see what speaks to you. At least, that's how I personally justify spending too much on planners every year, lol. Anyway, sorry for the long comment. Your channel is great so far, can't wait to see what else you post, and good luck in 2025!!

    So easy to get overwhelmed with so many journals but best of luck making it work. I find for me, as long as only a few of them (personal and work) are time based, then I can hang on. Some can just be ones where you write the date for each entry, that is less pressure for me anyways. I am going to try to do Personal (hobonichi cousin), work (stalogy 6-month), gardening (Peter Pauper Press Voyager), private writings (notebook therapy hinoki). I bought an archer&olive a5 vegan cover and will find a use for that. I also use a Paper Republic A6 as a jotter notebook, I carry it with me just so I can write things down, make grocery/errand lists, etc. I will have an art journal, mostly tombows and watercolors, but I haven’t figured that out yet, I think A5 makes sense for that though.

      @moonlit.journal 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you for sharing! 🙂 Sounds like a very well thought out and functional system for yourself! I completely agree about finding too many dated notebooks overwhelming. I technically only have two dated books for 2025 so hopefully it's manageable for me 🤞

    Absolutely ADORED this video! I love how you explain things, really clicked with my brain. I also just bought a moterm cover for my cousin and I was wondering if you pin or hold down the flap when writing? I won’t be actively using it until 2025 and that button flap is already bothering me hahaa!

    • @moonlit.journal
      @moonlit.journal 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @lexandlorex That is so kind, thank you!! 🥺🤍 Haha I actually never noticed what a hindrance the flap can be until you mentioned it! I think it's because I'm left-handed, so my right hand naturally rests on the flap as I write loll. Buttt I just played around with my cover and you can actually tuck the flap back into the front cover as you write, so hopefully that solves it?

    It’s great to see how you’re setting your planners up. I’ve picked up a lot from watching the TN videos that TN owners are posting. I’ve got a monthly planner that I made from a grid notebook, a daily planner for a health issue, and a travel journal, which has notes about where I’ve been at the front, then at the back a couple of pages for campsites I really like, plus a list of items I need to stock my van up with again in the spring ready to start travelling again. I’m thinking of putting another grid insert in just to have for notes and perhaps some thoughts. I absolutely love how versatile they are.

    • @moonlit.journal
      @moonlit.journal 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Oh I love your travel journal ideas! I think I could benefit from something similar. Thanks for sharing! ❤ And I agree, the versatility of TNs are what I find so appealing.

    • @OldWhistler7743
      @OldWhistler7743 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ Thanks 🙏 I’m not filling the travel one with anything I’ve collected like tickets, stickers etc. although I do draw a bit of leaf design on one side so it just makes it look a bit different to just writing. I like the inserts to stay slim. I’m looking forward to putting together the camp sites I like because it’s so easy to forget which were the best. So there’ll be the name, address/location, and phone number for booking. I’ll put a number on each of the travel notes at the front so I can use the number of nice sites when I put the details in the back of the book, match them up.

      @ Indeed. I actually started with mine as a journal for getting back into the Tarot/Oracle cards, just as a hobby for myself. Some people’s voice is better suited with bgm, and some aren’t. I remember reading comments from viewers sensitive to sound and they have preferences. It’s true that the section division for videos over 20 minutes provides convenience to audiences.
