This was John's final Blues Brothers concert before he & Dan mutually agreed to end the act. Contrary to popular belief, the act didn't die when John did. He & Dan both agreed that it was time to lay it to rest.

A great, humble man. Miss him. Would've loved to see him in a dramatic role too. His genuine-ness, if you will, would have made him a superior dramatic actor as well.

Saw them and The Ramones at The Palladium back then. Afterwards went to The Peppermint Lounge. What a time that was

This is now one of my fave short interviews of Chris Farley, he looks so relaxed here. Love listening to his speaking voice, very comforting. This is a decent audience recording spoilt by the twat with the nervous laugh near the taper. Hopefully someday they'll dig up the master tapes and release a complete show or compile an expanded 'Made in America'.

Man, I have been a BB fan for a long time but I have never seen the photos on this vid. Where'd you find them?

So when John says they were recording this live, some people told me (when I had this on my old channel) he was lying cuz you can tell he's a bit high or drunk but now I have proof. On the Made In America album if you listen very very carefully, right before the band starts Soul Finger/Funky Broadway, you can hear some yell 1, 2, 3, 4! The way they say it, is the exact same way they say it here. Also other songs here they sing differently and have extended parts, unlike their official album counterparts. Except for Soul Finger. If you speed up Soul Finger here it matches up perfectly with the one on the album. This means that the recording Soul Finger here is the same one used for the album proving that they were in fact recording this concert. The only thing is, where is the full recording?
