I think the Gen 5 Kickr has the right idea, they just fell way short in the execution. They could have made those Axis feet a LOT more cushy and thereby more effective for side-to-side float.

To the guy that dropped this. I’ve been in three Dollar stores and can’t find that ball. Can you follow up with how it’s worked out and details of a ball that works. Diameter, foam or air filled?

What type of balls do you use for your rocker effect please

I just use a a folded yoga mat under my trainer, works perfectly for me

A minute before you caught them you were a 4 seconds behind. A minute after passing, you were 4 seconds ahead.. We were putting steady time into them. After passing team [F] couldn't see the front of our group pulling, and assumed the drafting w/kg was the team sitting up. They intentionally pushed to catch and wouldn't back off after which ruined our pace line. I tried to power away from them, the same team that sat on for a minute last week, but they continued with us and battling took out 3 of our riders.

Love the idea. I use half Nerf footballs in similar fashion on my Computrainer. The slight rocking motion really helps.

Very interesting video. I have a Kinetic Rock and Roll which is great but it would be nice to be able to enjoy a good quality smart trainer without sacrificing the lateral motion. Is your idea still working well for you as it has been a few months since your video? Have you made any further modifications etc? Has the Kickr ever come off of the balls during a ride?
