The.last time any road repair was done was 15 years ago ..If any is to be done at present the Ministry in charge will fix one mile and claim to have fixed Five miles and get signed off for payment without verification.This is the Fraud and Skulduggery that takes place in Trinidad..I challenge you to say otherwise. I enjoyed watching your video. It brings back so many fond memories of when I used to travel the Torrib Tabaquite Road and then transfer on a bus/taxi going west to visit my sister in the Tabaquite Nariva area. That was over fifty five years ago and the areas were not so built up. Still I must say that there are lots of lush greenery. The conditions of the roads leave little to be desired. I admire the construction of the Colonial built bridges which have stood the test of time without the need for repairs. Anyway, great video. Thanks.

I know that Trinidad sits on a fault line, is that the reason for the rugged roads, or is it just poor maintenance?.

if i could get a woman from there i would live there but she would have to stop eating does things and live a more christian life for i love the place

but what i really like is that there are a lot of beautiful woman and nice beaches

for the moment there are two things i do not like about Trinidad # 1 you drive on the left hand side of the road # 2 you people eat a lot of reptiles and some very bad sea food

Some country roads have white markings but some country roads have no white markings.

Why some drivers are speeding on the narrow road and think that they are driving on the highways?

Made this trip once In a Mini from San Juan through Grande, Manzanilla , Mayaro to Guaya. Thought I could have gone onto Rio Claro from there, but was stopped at a gate with security . Went all the way back through Mayaro, Rio Claro, Sando etc to San Juan. Btw that car was manual. Good memories!

As always a great vlog, 16 months ago I came down for 3 days and drove from the Hyatt to that Gloconda/Papourie off ramp and went looking for a friend, got lost for bit, but enjoyed all the places I drove through and ended up by the pitch lake! Keep up the great work.

The unc government took five years to complete over 60 percent of the highway this government will be taking ten years to complete over 30percent and yet we applaud them the creek cannot be fixed up to today why they built on the original wall which had cracks in it so when the tide is rough and high it goes under the roadway and undermines the material so look out for more collapse and they are fully aware of it what a country we live in because of politics

You could use the Southern Main Road which can take you to San Fernando Princes Town Gasparillo Cap de Ville which can take you to Point Fortin. I am looking forward to part 2.

Nice video but respectfully, this is not the Point Fortin Highway. The Point Fortin Highway starts from Mosquito Creek to Point Fortin. In this video, this is the highway to Debe, there was to be a phase/section of this highway (where it currently ends as shown in the video) that connected to an interchange (currently being built) leading into the Point Fortin Highway. But that phase of the highway wasn't completed. However, the Point Fortin Highway itself is almost completed.
