Always loved the sound effects when you get in the turret
Hey, so I'm the Tiktoker that put this post up originally....I found the record at a store in Atlanta, and since the post went crazy, I went back in an attempt to get any info on it, and even they didn't know much. I've also messaged the co-owner of Hottrax records and I'm currently waiting on a response (wish me luck).
Only losers never want to live again. Im the juke box in a losers bar, I only play sad songs the kind that will brake your heart, I know the love songs that no one wants to hear… Im the jukebox on a losers bar!!! Man this is a record!!
This slaps!!😂😂
So glad it’s finally uploaded 😊 came across this on tik tok. ❤❤❤
Voz maravilhosa essa tem assinatura ❤
Maravilhoso
Thank you for uploading the whole album , really appreciate it
❤👍👍👍
Poster is an absolute legend 😭😭
damn teary savor cream...
??
Rest his soul. Fantastic song writer and artist. Johnny cash, Elvis Presley
Parece que estoy escuchando a Scott Walker de los Walker Brothers
Someone on tiktok said that Burl Compton was his father and he made only this one song or he released only one album or something similar. Considering the fact we can't find much more about Burl anywhere online I am willing to trust that statement. @The Warmest Soup thank you about the upload ❤
Such a good music ❤
That guy on TikTok did a good ass job in getting ppl to listen to this song! Can’t wait until 5 years from now when his album gets reissued and released on streaming haha
Burl
who came here in tiktok
Who sang it better him or the guess who?

Burl is definitely better than
Oh my, it's midnight! What a gem I found. 😮🤍
saw this on tiktok. thank you for uploading the whole LP
FINALLY SOMEONE UPLOADED THE FULL VERSION!
🔥🔥🔥
are you fucking kidding me this is one of the best songs I ever heard how is this possible
Found this gem in Tik Tok, glad it was uploaded here, thank you!!!
How is this bad? It's so good. How I wish Quentin Tarantino would use it in his movie
@@frankiekagz It's an unconventional sound that's easier to appreciate when you come from certain backgrounds, i like Marilyn Manson, Empires, Billy idol, and sade, so its a lot easier for me to appreciate what he's doing than someone who ONLY listens to trap, or ONLY listens to r&b. He's in a weird middle ground between 80s pop, outlaw country, and what would become modern emo (the cure, the Smiths) which is why i find him so interesting 🤔 Unfortunately it's the same reason people (both contemporary and modern) think it's terrible. Burl Compton is a great example of art appreciation being an active skill. It takes effort to overcome one's biases to look at a work to see what it's intention was, rather than hating it, because the artist didn't behave as you expected them to. It warms my heart to have gotten so many comments of people who enjoy these songs 🤭👍
Finally found it bro jesus
Found this off of Tik Tok, The person said this was bad music. I disagreed.
Yeah I wasn’t happy to hear that from him. He obviously has bad taste. This music has a distinct style that people forgot long ago
I really like it
this is rare music so anyone here yall got good taste of music
Still can’t believe that these have been found. Thank you 🙏
@@shambollock6861 same, happy to be the first accessible source. Especially glad since i like this two better than night cat 😅 But overall he's got a really interesting sound
@@thewarmestsoup5996totally agree. How did you source these? This album had no internet existence other than a TikTok as far as I know
40-something years later after being recorded and 34 years after his passing Burls cover is going viral. Imagine someone telling him back then that hundreds of thousands around the world will listen to his long forgotten vinyl in 2024. Thanks for this great cover, Burl and whoever uploaded it!
I’m so happy to finally listen to these
Can you put out every song, I don’t know where I can find an album and it’s not anywhere
Unfortunately this is a second hand recording. I don't have access to the others, but if i find them i will.
Full album is up! 😀👍 th-cam.com/play/PLacjoZg2pjzneN8nVdYDDoKYEHbJ-Mrpv.html&si=cZ_Hwx5mk4kmyQVN
I'm the one who put this up on TT, and the record is a EP with only 3 songs.

Saw something on TikTok about this guy. Hope you can dig out more of his songs
Same here seems to have nothing on this dude
The only thing I could find online was info about his grave plot 😞
Same. His music is pretty good
@@frankdahtank354yeah I saw that as well. Really sad to see
Same lmao
Amen!
You sound like Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man
Is this trick possible on ps vita?
@@yourviewyouropinion9136 I have no way to test that, but the easiest way to find out is going to the stadium, starting the challenge, and checking if you can hear the two bells when doing the input. If you do, the input still works. Then you could try jumping off high places and seeing if you can get the trick animations to loop. If you don't hear the two bells, he loops, but doesn't gain hight, or you hear the bells and he doesn't loop, then it might not. If you find out consider putting a video up to let people know. I couldn't find the answer easily, and I've had people asking me 😅
Tried it after this tutorial and got it first go 🤣 still need more practice to get it consistent though
nicely explained
U down to race sometime?
I've never done any serious speed running, I can't even do the boosted uppercuts consistently, and my Jak2 tech runs out at Mar's Tomb diving through the Eco 😅
@@thewarmestsoup5996 I can't do boosted either. It's a fair game 🤣 I know jak 1 much better. My roomate and I run it every year. I honestly don't even have a route for jak2

Passed the vibe check.
This shit just made me rage quit for the first time in idk how long. Not only does it not feel natural (the stick halfway a direction then fully up or down, while holding L1, then holding the new direction while spamming L1 🫠🔫) but the edges of the buildings push me to fall in places I wasn't aiming. I fell into the top of the building directly to the left of the og turret several times, trying to get to the second area. Then I make that jump and get blocked by the track on the next and plummet to my death. I legit just almost broke my controller behind trying to replay one of my childhood games. From nostalgia to seething rage. I'm aware there's not much anyone can do for me, at this point, seeing as how I'm aware of the methods needed.. It's just driving me fuckin nuts. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. 💀
It's just a quarter circle. 👀 The only reason people say to do it as a half is because it's faster that way so it feels easier. The input is hold L1→quarter circle→Start taping. Make sure you're not tapping, early, that was my problem. And go to the Jetboard stadium to practice. Do the score challenge there, and if you hear 2 chimes when you do the input you'll know you've got it. It's surprisingly easy once you've got it down. Easier imo than Z-inputs 😅 Also anger is something you surrender to. Accept that this isn't something that's owed to you, that's it's okay for it to be hard, and choose to be patient. My life got much better when i let go of anger. You'll get it, and In a few days you'll look back at this comment and cringe.
How tf u do that???
When you do a trick on yhe jet board instead of pushing a direction, do a quarter circle and tap r1 Here's a tutorial, it's called the hocer glitch th-cam.com/video/4sCjuD4vZ3k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FxJ3mI9eBQC3DKYP
Once you master this skill you will be able to beat the hero mode!! After 15 years I made it. Grateful for this video and its tutorial👌
This mission gave me PTSD whenever I saw the number 40.
You make it look so easy. I’m getting the hang of it!
UPDATE: Bro I fucking did it. People should know, when I got back in the turret after getting to the second platform, you still have to take out a gunship. You can die here. So you may hover twice independently two times successfully and still die. I got to the second platform and just kinda camped, looked at the map, got in a straight line and practiced from there. A few times I over shot it. It was helpful to me to look at the map for a sense of distance because it’s hard to know where you’re at once you’re high in the air. I did this across and evening and a morning, it didn’t take too long. Thanks
I really wanted to keep it kosher and beat the drill platform mission legitimately but if skipping that was an excuse to learn the hoverboard trick then that works for me
@@j.m.3600the difficulty here was clearly an oversight by the devs, hero mode just doubles enemy health, which feels fine because jak is pretty overpowered when you get to know his moves, but then the turret feels like a handicap 😅 If the game would let you spawn the enemies without getting in the turret it'd probably be easier. There's no shame skipping this mission, especially if you're just casually replaying, and doing the hover glitch is pretty fun once you get the hang of it. Ultimately there's still skill involved either way, it's just a choice of what kind of difficulty are you looking for.
@@j.m.3600that's true. This isn't so much a "destroy ship at drill platform" skip as much as it's a "40 gaurds in a weak turret" skip. Which is the real difficulty spike imo. But yeah, don't choke on that gunship 😅
@@thewarmestsoup5996Can you tell me what buttons you push to do that with the jet ski? I'm 69 years old so I don't know the manuvers very well, lol thanks!!! I'm just a gamer at heart 😁
