Thank you for this presentation, it was the most thorough I've seen. I ordered one of these water bath canners and am anxiously awaiting its arrival. I have a quick question, you mentioned unhooking the plug inside the pot before draining the pot, but I'm not sure what you meant. I just finished pressure canning 10 pints of potatoes and I was thinking this pot would have been useful for blanching them, what are your thoughts?

How did you draw the vertical lines for the where the studs are? I just bought some rare earth magnets that are round and they stick to the studs wherever there is a nail and that's how I found the studs. I've never had luck with any of those devices that they sell

can make this setup a lot less complex by having a mts without the sub panel, just switch from grid to generator and flip off the circuits for non critical circuits

When you're only on AC power and have a device connected to your backup ups port, have you noticed that your input is slightly lower than your output? Mine is 1034 / 1082. And even though there's no outage, the battery still drains and recharges about 12 times a day, down two percent and up two percent.

Excellent tutorial video! Thank you :-) I bought this canner, but I haven’t used it yet and this is really helpful! Now I am pescatarian so I don’t eat meat. I do eat fish and eggs. I would probably want to use a plant based protein. Now I have an odd question for you and I know you probably would just have to guess, but if I use a plant base meat that has fat in it do you think I would can it for the same amount of time as meat or as just vegetables? The vegan meats are plants but they do have fat. I’m also wondering if I use beans what you suggest for the time? Your grandkids are adorable ❣️❣️❣️

I’m confused with the November data. This was posted in Oct 2024, how is it that you have data for Nov??? Is it the October data with a November due date?

I have everything accept my stove as well but this his how I got around it, I bought an induction plate and put it on top of it. I have a microwave that has an air fryer and convection oven option, and then there is the instant pot and electric water kettle. You could use one burner on the stove if you put everything on an interlock switch instead of transfer switch but that's an all or nothing approach

Have you tested if (when two inverters are connected via the 50a hub) connecting solar input on one inverter will charge the other inverter?

Good job! I was too cheap to buy a dedicated deck cleaner. I bought a gallon of " Totally Awesome" brand degreaser from Dollar Tree for $ 3.50 and used that. Wetted down my deck & used a spray bottle to apply about a 1/4 of the gallon degreaser,waited 5 mins then used a push broom with med stiff bristles..then rinsed with a garden hose with a sprayer. I let it dry for 48 hrs & restained. Deck came out great. My deck is open to the Texas sun & had been stained 4 years prior but was in need of restaining. I wasnt sure if the cheap degreaser would work but it removed the dirt,algae really well. I used a light honey golden stain because it gets really hot in south Texas. You did a nice job on your deck. It looks good. My method worked grat for me but Im not sure if it would for anyone else. I thought I would share my experience with you & your audience. Take care..

Very very informative and helpful. We are in KS and I am hoping to find a knowlegable electrican to install this system for home back up. The thing is we are all electric including hot water and heat/ac. We have two circuit panels with 100 amp service coming into each box. So it may be interesting to see how an electrician can finagle it to work for us and help us to know how many batteries we need with the inverter. Thank you again for such a wonderful video.
