I’ve seen riders with “big boy bikes” act worse than learners. At the end of the day it’s about maturity and some people take longer to mature than others.

@@inarifilms There were tonnes of you, not just you. I am not losing sleep over it, it is your life mate, not mine. It is just so many don't listen until it is too late. My job is an advanced race track driving coach, I race cars, not bikes, but I have done quite a few track days on bikes with guys like Mike Jones, Cameron Donald too, trust me, even the top guys, they always bang on about it and they drum it into everyone hard, not for any other reason than they know what you and many others do not. I got schooled by Cam for not having proper leather pants on, just Kevlar jeans, I saw his point and I took his advice seriously, as anyone would. We were not riding crazy, but trust me, you don't just keep up with those guys easily and they were masters of the mirrors, making sure we could stay with them, if we couldn't, they would slow down a bit, because they know. Myself and those who I work and play with, we all listen to more experienced guys, we throw our ego in the bin if we want to be a mature fast rider or driver. I drive very fast (I hold a few records on certain tracks too), my boss is a 4 times drivers Australian champion, I ride pretty quick too (I am not as good on a bike though) but all of us are very safety conscious. Don't get offended, don't do the old "I make my own choices" BS mate, when you have your muscles and tissues ground down to your bones, let alone multiple complex bone fractures, you will always think, that "idiot" on TH-cam tried to say something. It is not supposed to be an offensive comment mate, but with gooses popping wheelies with stuff all gear on, yeah, that is not real bright, pretty darn stupid and it brings a bad look for everyone else into the bike scene. Brisbane's bike life if you don't already know, loses a tonne of good guys every week with fatalities, some you can't control, but a lot are preventable, may as well give ourselves the best chance when we have gear options.

Yeah nah I just don’t have the time to read that sorry , but here’s my conclusion, I’ll just do what I want and face the consequences and you can do that same with whatever you wanna do in your life 🤝

Brissy definitely has less groups than Melbourne and Sydney for its size. I used to ride with a group on a Friday night until recently but stopped due to some of the riding behaviour. There was really cool group that used to kick around the Gold Coast until a couple of years ago. We used to do trips up to Brisbane on a Friday or Saturday night and we would ride for about four hours. It was awesome but people all moved away in the group faded off.

Lisa, there are heaps of group rides/ clubs/ organised rides, don't ride with these "temporary Australians" though, they just fark it up for everyone. Also, look at the current statistics for riders between 18 and 30, road deaths have gone through the roof... And for the knobs that'll comment here, I've been riding for over 40 years, owned 40 odd bikes from Honda 750's to GSXR1100's, I build my own bikes and have put a few extremely fast race bikes back to the street , I'm still alive because I don't ride like these clowns in Traffic. They are the reason we keep getting worse and worse traffic laws, they just fark it up for everyone....
