      I think it is a relative statement. Comparing a $150 Moultrie feeder to a $1000 Texas Hunter feeder, yeah its not going to compare. But comparing it against another <$200, what else do you have? I dont know anything else on the market. If there is one, I would look at buying it for next year to do a review. I agree though, I wish it would get the feed out further!

    Did you clean the deck at all before applying the Deck Correct? They recommend scrubbing the deck with their wood cleaning product, then using their brightener product if the deck is stained from tannin or rust. The deck is supposed to be left to dry for at least a couple of days, because any water in the pores of the wood will get trapped and eventually cause the paint to fail. You said that it started raining after you applied the first coat, which per the instructions with the product is a problem - it is supposed to be applied when rain is not expected for at least a few days. So, it does not seem that you followed the provided directions and that can lead to early failure of the product.

    • @CountryHobbyist
      @CountryHobbyist 8 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the lesson on deck preparation-I must have missed that class in Deck Correct academy! Just to clarify, I did follow all the recommended cleaning and prepping steps, just not included in this video. Spring weather in the Midwest has a chance of rain every single day, even when its not in the forecast so you just have to take a chance. Despite the concerns, four years on, the deck is still holding up impressively well.

    First thing besides taking the battery off is not to take the solenoid off it does not have one that is a relay like on the inner fender well of your car this starter does not possess a solenoid it is spline driven starter drive a.k.a. Bendix many people still call it Bendix it’s made by (Bendix MFG)it’s a manufacturer but it’s still a starter drive I grew up manufacturing starters I do know what I’m talking about my dad had the factory what I wanted to know was did you run across the problem sliding your starter back into the housing and was not able to wiggle it all the way in that second ring is not entering is it just the ring or is the starter drive or nose casting getting in my way did you have a problem and how did you fix it.

    • @CountryHobbyist
      @CountryHobbyist 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I took the starter unit in to a local place that I like. They went all through it and said it was in pretty good shape. We discussed what I was experiencing for a while and they suggested that a weak battery might be at play. keeping a good charged battery has really kept this situation from happening again

      I agree with you, if I were on city water this would be a lot easier of a decision. cheaper to chemically clear it up rather than have water delivered. well water is full of iron and is miserable to get it right, also almost uses same amount of chemicals to balance that out. I think the best option for me is to just not be a pool owner lol.

    Dude, you made it way harder than it should have been, not to mention cutting the engine's life in half by not clearing the augered dirt from the hole. You should have been lifting the auger up almost out of the hole in order to clear the dirt. Being three years old now, I'm sure you've figured that out by now. Hopefully 🤞 😂 By the way, majority of us, myself included relate 100% to the easily winded struggles. 😂 🍽

    That food is okay but if you want to grow big fish Purina Aquamaxx mvp is gold. The amount of phosphates you're adding to the water by over feeding is going have adverse effects by algae and plant blooms. 1/4 cup is all you need.

    • @CountryHobbyist
      @CountryHobbyist 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I really like the Aquamaxx and I also am a big fan of Optimal fish feed. Agreed that overfeeding will create an algae issue if not consumed. All this food is consumed in a feeding, 1/4 cup isnt enough to benefit the fish in this pond, it would be completely useless to even feed at all with that amount.

    • @DailyDose2Inspire
      @DailyDose2Inspire 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      check out both Purina Aquamaxx and also Optimal Bluegill. I really like both of these. In the last year I have started using these feeds along with a Moultrie fish feeder (because I am too cheap to buy a Texas Hunter) and it has been a huge difference. I can see across the board bigger blue gill and many people have commented about the increase in size. Im in Indiana so its a slower process but I think the time and money I have put into this is really starting to pay off.

      its not perfect, some areas that I thought would need attention are starting to show up. I would absolutely use this again. For this product for me, I knew it was never going to be perfect considering the sun exposure and pool water exposure which is not a great combo. Prepping the deck as much as possible and having dry surface really goes a long way in how long this will last.

    Your pump piston seal is leaking and needs replacing. You shouldn't have to constantly keep pumping the handle to maintain pressure. To verify, with the tank cap removed and looking into the tank at the bottom of the pump rod where it enters the pump housing. Slowly operate the pump handle and look for air bubbles escaping at that area. If you see them, your pump plunger piston seal is bad.

    • @CountryHobbyist
      @CountryHobbyist 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      initially I disregarded you comment because of just how I normally use this sprayer. No pressure regulator and the direct stream so I could reach the eves of my house from the ground just no other way to keep the pressure at a max to get the distance. however your statements have stuck with me and I completely see where you are coming from and I want to say more people should be aware of how these seals and that this sprayer is serviceable. I pinned this comment to try and get that exposure, thanks for watching and the insight. great stuff!

I purchased the same auger and an additonal 3" auger bit for smaller diameter posts. My wife and I change our garden configuration every year. Overall, great video. I am always a little more winded at the beginning of the season and seem to get better as the summer moves along. I too sit at a desk all day long. Sometimes I feel like it is killing me.
