On a windy Thursday afternoon, workers rush to protect the 2nd floor deck from the incoming rain. Grading of the main lot is done in preparation of the next phase of conduit installation, and spacers and forms are added to the initial length of conduit.

Not yet. Zero movement on that project.
It’s cool that they are extending it into the adjacent area for additional superchargers. It would be even cooler if they could also purchase the neighbouring garage property and demolish that and turn it into a green space / outdoor area or even more superchargers.
I’m looking forward to how they finish it out & how the neighborhood changes around the diner.

The construction crew has to wait on the owner of the power lines to take them down before they can erect the frame of the 2nd screen.
@@247Tesla By the "owner" of the power line, you mean "Southern California Edison" ? Does the line is still in use or does the line has to be relocated or made underground?
It looks like this area of LA is serviced by Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP). I’m going to submit a public records request through the Bureau of Engineering to see if I can learn more about the timeline of the removal.

From the start. 2 screens that will rotate shorts and classic movies. I have no indication yet how the sound will work.

It was in the plan from the beginning. Originally they wanted to build it in Santa Monica, but zoning rules kept them out.
Do you know if there are any plans to purchase the building next door to extend the parking lot? The present location seems cramped.
I keep hearing that Elon bought the building to the west on Santa Monica Blvd, but there has been no change to the plans.

So true! All of the parcels are so tight in Hollywood. The In-n-Out a couple of blocks away stopped allowing parking or the drive-through because it jammed up traffic so much.
