Oakland Athletics Home Run Song | 1987-1990
มุมมอง 23911 หลายเดือนก่อน
The main song used by the A’s back during that time. During this time period from videos of home runs I watched, I also made out these songs being used: “Point of No Return” by Exposé “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” by Wham!
It was never us.

It’s not Oakland A’s fans fault. We’re a loyal fanbase and we deserve better than our ownership.
Eric Chavez Oakland Athletics Career Tribute | 1998-2010
มุมมอง 1.4Kปีที่แล้ว
Before Josh Donaldson, before Matt Chapman, there was Eric Chavez. Chavez spent 13 seasons in the green and gold, playing in 1,320 games. Chavez hit 230 home runs in that span and won 6 consecutive Rawlings Gold Glove Awards from 2001-2006. Chavez was a important piece of the puzzle in the Athletics 20-Game win streak in 2002 winning the Silver Slugger Award for that season. Eric Chavez played ...

Nostalgia 😢
This "Go!" thing was popular during the 1972, 1973, 1974 World Series. The A's Dynasty. On the "Jumbotron" (left scoreboard) in 1972, Game 4 at the Coliseum, when Angel Manqual hit a walk off hit to win the ballgame, fireworks exploded in victory, and "Go(!)" was flashing on the Jumbotron during the fireworks. I guess all that led to the modernized version of the A's chant. But forget it. No more Oakland A's. We will miss the team's adventurous MLB history.
I almost forgot that also in that time period, there was the catch phrase, "Let's Go As!" in the late 1970s.

RIP OAKLAND A’s
I will miss the A’s in Oakland 😢
Let's Go Oakland! 💚💛
Goodbye Oakland 😢
Thanks for uploading this one. Nostalgia
Less than 24 hours away😢
We been robbed by that goddamn earthquake! If the Earthquake didn't happened, we would've made a comeback and win our 6th World Series, but no, the earthquake happened and robbed us from our 6th World Series title and Oakland kicked our asses... again. The drought will continue for 21 years (the California Angels screwed us over in 2002 also).
Do you have the radio broadcast of the full game?
@@RyansColoradoRailProductions I don’t unfortunately, you’d have to reach out to KNBR. I believe they own the rights to it.
@@marting.6402 I thought this was the A’s call on KSFO back then. Gets complicated with the Battle of the Bay as Lon called both the A’s and Giants over the course of his career.
Thsnk you for solving mystery !! Chat gpt could not get it right

I would like to see a team use Metallica’s “Wherever I May Roam” for their 3rd down music.
I'll still never understand the flag on Whitner after the Jackson hit. By the way, I'm stealing your profile pic. Niners and A's all day.

Chavez was the last major contract under Fisher's ownership...wish I had known at the time
Hell’s bells
Miss hearing Roy Steele calling the line up…. What a time to be alive.
Haha me too, my biggest regret about this video was cutting out “Hitting 3rd…” at the beginning of Steele’s announcement.
My favorite touchdown music!

If we win, I’ll tag you.
Doesn’t Clemson also use this😂😂

LETS GO OAKLAND!!!
i wonder what it felt like to play levels by avicii after a warriors home win after tim bergling's death
Thanks my guy. This is my new alarm clock sound
Gotta feel for the city, all professional sports gone within just a few years. Shits sad
Oakland deserved better. Screw Fisher from a Dodgers fan
Don’t get me wrong I feel so sorry for you guys! And of course it’s not the fans fault But when you really look back it’s not like the A’s didn’t try to stay Since 2001 there have been 8 proposals for stadium sites and each one kept getting rejected For what it’s worth FUCK FISHER!!! Edit: also didn’t Libby Schaaf make it difficult to get the Howard Terminal project started?? Aka the lady responsible for losing the Raiders & the Warriors
Yeah. Can't blame one person alone for losing them. The city never seemed motivated to get a new stadium done. Especially after they lost both Raiders and Warriors in a short time span, you would expect to see them actually try. Based on the lack of any money put into the stadium and team, Kaval never seemed interested in keeping fans and trying to win a Championship. Lastly, although the A's did at times set attendance records and have loyal fans, we have generally had pretty low average attendance over the last couple decades. There may be many reasons behind this but that is true for much of this situation. It is certainly sad and dissappointing.
@@josiahbrown7258 well let’s see what happens in November and see if your guys “Summer of Sell” protest did the trick Tbh I kinda do hope they stay in Oakland but if I’m being realistic I do see them moving to Vegas Like I said I really do feel sorry for you guys! That sucks to lose not 1, not 2, but 3 teams in the course of what 6 years?!?!
@@josiahbrown7258 I mean technically you still do have the Warriors but now they reside in San Francisco and not Oakland
@@josiahbrown7258 also true you can’t blame 1 person but when you think about it from her term from 2015-2023 all those relocations happened under her watch Although Oakland has a new mayor majority of the A’s stadium negotiation was on her during her time in office
@@Beast_1996 oh. I'm not arguing she has a lot of fault as well. It is in fact likely she is very much to blame. I just was pointing out that there was so much going against the team staying. Also as someone who lives and grew up around here. It was not exactly a family friendly location to take kids to. Not surprised MLB was unhappy with the stadium situation. It is pathetic pro a pro team to play in such a dump
FEELS GREAT, BABY!
What song is that in the background?
AC/DC- Hells Bells
