I will probably do the installation myself and I wanted to ask you how much should I take off from the opening window size (considering the flange)to place the window order? What about at night? Is the low e glass highly reflective in the interior of the home at night? Can I see outside at night or is there an obstructive reflection at night when looking outside?

That first sentinel single hung set you talked about number 110 are not double hung that is a mold. Unit hung means the top glass comes down.

Nice video unfortunately several things you’re saying only confuse 5/16 is not the minimum low e does not mean low emissions the majority of the homes do not choose tint it makes the inside of the house look dark and gloomy every one have blinds it all depends on the house individual home and windows

I don't know what to do. I'm between ESW & CGI . Which is the better window? I was quoted the same amount for both, I want a black window and only ESW makes black. I heard that ES is more up-to-date. HELP! Im going tobthe ESW showroom today.

Nice video. Suggestions; In April of 2023 I bought a house in the red zone of Tornado Alley. When we do the remodel I want the windows installed with impact resistance windows. I plan on using the Miami Dade guidelines, low-e. My suggestion is to also stress the security benefits that come with hurricane windows. I may need to add a tint if the POA has an issue with the green color of the low-e glass. I know most burglaries occur thru a door threshold. Have a nice day.

I really have been enjoying watching your videos as I'm learning about window replacement for my house here in Tampa. I have one company really pushing the Simonton Stormbreaker Plus. Others are recommending PGT winguard. The PGT dealers are telling me that the pgt's are not as bulky as Simonton and are a better window. If it was your house, what manufacturer would you go with and why? I really respect your opinion as I watch your educational videos. Thank you

1st off thank you for all your videos explaining this expensive project. I do have a question I am struggling with on my newly signed project. Originally I was set on ESW Elite windows with Low E glass. The contractor how ever kinda talked us out it because he said at night it is very hard to see out of to the point you can't see someone standing outside it. He recomended just doing a grey tint instead also it would look better not having the green tint. Is this true?

Hi have you noticed issues with distortion with the ESWindows. I was told not to use this manufacturer because of the quality of the windows/distortion but CGI is so much more expensive!

I have a question, is there a way to give it a grey tone to those windows?. I like to put those but my HAO does not allow that green reflective color, they need to be either clear or grey. Thanks!!

Is there a showroom for PGT windows? Is CGI and PGT Identical? I know PGT owns CGI, is one better than the other? Also when comparing PGT/CGI would you rate them higher that ESW? Thanks for all your videos. You’re a great help

Is the green metallic reflection only on the outside of the window or also the inside? I had impact windows installed a couple months ago with low-e and the green is on the inside of our condo… so at night, when we have lights on in our living room, we can’t even see outside - it’s like a mirror. I’m wondering if the company installed them backwards!
