Is that meant to be peaceful cos it sounds scary
it is ment to be powerfull, chanting daimoku is not for relaxing but ruther for awaking our internal buddhahood. However I understand what you mean, but try to chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo with any rythm and speed you feel to, and see it's effect on your life, am sure you will find happiness and power of life. My best wishes and best regards.
