We love to travel and find unique places. I am now trying to learn how to edit and make video to preserve our memories. Stick around, the videos will get better.
Exploring the Bridge Capital of the World | Carrie Furnace + North Shore
While in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we toured Carrie Iron Furnace, walked through point state park, rode both the Duquesne and Monongahela inclines, tried Promanti brothers for the first time, and explored the north shore. This is our first proper trip to Pittsburgh and we were blown away with how nice the city is. Pittsburgh has one of the nicest skylines in America.

Ultimate Two Days in Niagara Falls
มุมมอง 1.4Kหลายเดือนก่อน
This video is everything Niagara Falls, from the hornblower to Clifton Hill. We spent 2 days trying to do as much as we could on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. I documented all the 2024 prices and show what we chose to spend. It’s surprisingly cheaper than I expected. We start out a bit slow riding the hornblower but if you just want to see the tourist district, Clifton Hill, skip ahead to...
Our London Fish N’ Chips Experience
มุมมอง 5472 หลายเดือนก่อน
A Rainy day in London stuck on a double decker bus. We tried not to let the weather stop us from exploring London on our return to America. We had a 12 hour layover and tried to see as much of the historic London as we could. But what I was most excited for was to try some local food. Our day turned out to be pretty foggy and dark but that’s just how it goes sometimes. This is a realistic trave...
Best beaches near Durban | South Africa!

We checked out some of the highest rated beaches near Durban and they did not disappoint! Some locals highly recommended going to the dolphin coast so we took a day trip to Ballito to explore one of the most unique beaches we have ever been to. Americans visit Durban | South Africa
มุมมอง 41K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Being ranked as the 15th most dangerous city in the world, Durban had us pretty nervous going into this trip. But by the end of our 2 week vacation, we were in love with this country. South Africa has so much natural beauty that is so unique and vastly different from America. Durban is unlike any place we have ever traveled to. It’s cheap, has friendly locals, and has amazing views from everywh...

Drive into Durban must have been 6am Sunday morning!
😂
You are a vlogger maybe fans or just some kids wanting to be on TH-cam you know it's kinda being on TV now don't come back stay in your war country
South Africa was great and we will definitely be coming back. I have so many new recommendations to try out!
Your grammar highlights your lack of intelligence, while your comment exposes a tribalistic and unintelligent mindset, devoid of any higher or critical thinking.
Worst Mistake Ever
It was a great time
Pittsburgh is beautiful!
Right!! We were so surprised! 😮🚞⛲️
Smith George Lopez Jason Miller Ruth

Don’t think you can tag people lol
Next time you’re in Durban, you should come up the hill to an area called Kloof which has beautiful nature and hiking. Then go a bit further to Howick, the Midlands, and the beautiful Drakensberg mountains. These are my favourite areas and I’d choose them over the city any day.
Its called Durban uMhlanga, which means our City is Durban as a whole from airport😂😂❤❤❤❤
bird pronounced - Haa dee daa
👍🏿
Very negative on my beautiful country, which i love ❤,.....typical whites 🙄 just stay in your american cities ,will stay in Durban
What’s very negative?
Just ignore. Trolls
Correction: The University of KZN is one of the best in the WORLD. If this is all you saw of Durban you did yourselves a great disservice. I don't know who scared you so much about this country. There is crime alright but not as alarming as it is in your country - one must just be alert when in the street or in secluded areas. You missed all the Durban vibe and next time give Umhlanga a miss and book yourselves into a place close to the city. There are numerous worldclass restaurants and others that are uniquely South African in all our big cities- you ' ll be amazed.
@@sybilxulu4851 that what I was trying say ,,she makes it like Durban is a war zone, TOTAL LIES
@@SavagesAdventures YOU MAKE IT SEEM LIKE DURBAN IS A WAR ZONE OR SOMETHING, THAT IS A BLATANT LIE ,HENCE ID ADVICE YOU STAY IN YOUR SAFE AMERICA N WILL STAY IN OUR DANGEROUS DURBAN, WE LOVE IT N WE WILL DIE HERE
They would have robbed you.
You must come to hartbeesport its fantastic
Thanks for the recommendation, Hartbeespoort looks incredible! The first picture that popped up is of the dam. This is a great recommendation, thanks so much!
cry me a river. Here comes the delicate 1st world Americans to a dangerous unpredictable African country. Man please, USA WAS BUILT ON BLOOD AND SLAVERY. sound advice? Don't go anywhere you don't feel safe. Please don't ever come back to our dangerous country.
It’s too late, we enjoyed Durban way too much not to return. Thanks for the mediocre advice though!
@@SavagesAdventures Don't mind this individual, you're always going to come across some radical lunatic that that can't grasp the true message or views of others. Visit Cape Town rather, it is much worth the trip.
This is a travel channel, not political. It's like you are shaming them for providing the information that is online for anyone looking, and for making this video that is not that damning for Durban.
No no no don't come Durban is on fire with these crooks everywhere..it is very DANGEROUS ryt now Gevaar
Looking at this makes my heart a bit sore. I'm South African and we used to go to Durban twice a year on holiday. It was amazing. But now it seems a bit run down. I haven't been in about 10 years. 😔 Durban needs to be brought back to its former glory. KZN can be better than the Western Cape. But the provincial municipality in durban seems to suck.
2:59 you mean the right side of the road. 😉
Also the left side of the road😂
@@SavagesAdventures Lol. I should've said correct side. 🤭🤭
I miss the durbam of my youth....the zulu rickshawd....the goggos selling authentic hand made zulu mats, bracelets etc.... it was such a vibe!. Went a few months ago znd so sad to see the waterslides empty...no rickshaws....the rundown buildings...we went to a mall and we were the ONLY white people in there, quite a few people took a second look.... But there was still a chill vibe in the air....sone really beautiful buildings there....We stayed in a hotel (work related trip) which was great...got a suite with full kitchen and amazing views for price small cheaper hotel room in cape town... weather wasnt great but i really enjoyed it....we need to revive Durban...its so worth saving
"A 7 course meal set in the beautiful revolving top of the Ritz! " - Cape Town "Temporarily Closed: Sea Point's Iconic Top of The Ritz" and "Revolving Restaurant: Another white elephant in Bloemfontein? June 27, 2018" Thus they are correct that they are the only operating one.
The ibises are often called hardedas
Thanks for that fun fact epic hero banana lol I’m going to be calling them hardedas from now on!
@@SavagesAdventuresthose other black birds are cormorants
Hello thank you for coming to South Africa Durban hope you enjoy your time over here 🙌👊👍 please do visit Durban for whoever seen this video it a must on your bucket list 🙏💪💰
Best beaches and food with great prices!
Howard College bringing back memories of the early 2000s
How did u vidoe this. I don't see people.. I live here. It's infested with us all the time. Looting, rioting, marching, watever.. Its always packed.
I also don’t know how it was so empty. We went late in the season just before Easter. But more importantly… That’s one slick a4 lol did you catch the B7 RS4 that was just parked at our hotel garage? It was 👌
😅😅😅lies
Unusual looking bird… looks like a Cormorant
Yea I think you are right. One person suggested darter, which has the nickname of snake bird. They can give a person nightmares 😂
This is my home town
Great town! Do you still live in the area?
@@SavagesAdventures yes I'm in Durban now
DURBAN IS THE MOST VALANCES TOWN IN SOUTH AFRICA AM SOUTH AFRICAN
Next time you visit, you have to try a prawn bunny chow at Westbrook Bakery. Or crab curry at seabelle. North Coast is very safe.
A few people have mentioned Seabelle so it must be good! Also I think my husband will love prawn bunny chow. As long as they remove the shells for him 🤣
Also try britannia hotel restaurant @SavagesAdventures
Uncle Gino means well. I'm 42 and remember being a little girl watching him fuss over my Mom and grandmother when we went for family events. Even had my 21st birthday at Roma. 😂
Hahahaha cream soda what did you expect a white drink
It is a very light brown color where we are from. A&W cream soda is a popular brand here.
@@SavagesAdventures I know I am a National Tour Guide in South Africa and deal with a lot of Americans and the cream soda drink always catches there eye and I say order it just to watch there face when it arrives . I did find your selection of things to do in Durban very interesting ( university/ Office blocks / and a few parks as you can see by the amount of people sitting around there not very popular , I also would have stayed down in the village ( Raddision ) is very nice, where you guys stayed yes you will find lots of WRX .s going around and around besides shopping it’s also where business people stay . Lots of very restaurants Resturant s also in the village , would I have chosen Roma , not sure but those PRAWNS did look good I hope you got an automatic car ( not stick shift ) but if you can identify a WRX someone there can drive stick I in fact grew up in La Lucia not far from there and love the Indian Ocean swim all year round , Hope you got to Kruger , !!!!!!!!!!!!
My mom is from Durban and we spent a lot of time just visiting family in the area so we didn’t get to venture too far out. But my mom always had a manual in South Africa so she demanded manuals once she came to America as well so I had to learn how to drive on a 5 speed suv. Needless to say, that was quite the experience. Then I met my husband and he had an 6 speed Audi S4 and currently has a 6 speed golf R so he really wanted to try a manual in South Africa but we did stick to an automatic so everyone would be able to drive if needed.
The Arch ,spend a lot of time in Rock”s NEVER even knew it was there ,,,,,,what was the main attraction ????? You should have spend more time drinking wine beers ,,,,, etc for a few $$$$$ or eating !!!!!quarter of your prices !!!!!!
Amazing video of Durban. In all honesty the teenagers where probably asking if you wanted a photo of you and paul together and they would take it using yourlls camera. They do this as a kind gesture for tourists Probably got lost in translation and thats why they backed of calmly. Trouble makers wouldnt take a chance if other random locals are around. As for Roma, i thought it closed years ago and is probably more a tourist gimmick now and probably serves the same food as any downtown Italian old school restaurant. Thank you for sharing a small part of Durban to the world and welcome back anytime laarnie😂
We had such a fun time and can’t wait to go back! We have so many new recommendations now to try out. Especially for bunny chow. Roma was really cool just for the view of Durban but it did seem like a tourist gimmick type of place. We still might go back to see a Durban sunset lol maybe just get some dessert next time. The carrot cake was amazing!
Im from Durban sorry to tell you people but Roma burnt down other day.
Roma is fine.
@@liesaharris8705 So it dident get burnt too badly then good to hear .
Personally I think they should have kept the Maid of the Mist name. lol I love that The Office shot some scenes in Niagara Falls (NY), Have you visited the shooting locations? The incline railway is way better than walking up Murray Hill. It is so powerful standing right next to where the water goes over the edge. I've live in Niagara Falls all my life and it never gets old. I don't think I could do the aero car lol heights are not my friend. There are many hiking trails on the Canadian side as well down by the river. Great view from the room! You were definitely paying for the view at that IHOP lol (although IHOP isn't cheap in the first place lol). The sunset is amazing and I'm not gonna lie I love tourist traps, you just have to know when and where to spend money. Thanks for sharing! I love seeing visitor's videos of my hometown
As an huge fan of the office, I’m ashamed to not know that the inn is in Niagara Falls lol. I’m going to have to go see that next time. We also want to go to eternal flame falls again. After the hornblower, we did have to hike it back up Murray hill and it seemed to never end 😆
Oh also have you done the journey behind the falls? It was the only thing we didn’t get time to do that we wanted to do. We did cave of the winds years ago and it was so much fun.
Very nice......eh.
🤣
you where lucky not to be stabbed . I was in the Roma in 1980 and it has the same Decor.
We were fine and plan on visiting South Africa again. It was a trip I’ll remember for the rest of my life.
Dude this is like satire. You are comically american.
Definitely not satirical. We had a great time
No one from Durban ever goes to Roma Restaurant!
I think it’s worth it for the views. Also it was our first revolving restaurant so that was cool. But our next trip we are going to try to focus on local recommendations so if you have some, we would love to try them!
@@SavagesAdventures It's also safe to say...1 person doesn't speak for all. I like Roma...it has History.
When it opened, we all called it "The Revolting Restaurant" as a joke. But it has the one-of-a-kind view.
Moenie kak praat nie Oom.
Greg's "sausage roll wasn't that good." Lots of popular British food is " not that good" but the brits don't know it lol
🤣 🤣
Enjoying your content from south africa, thank you for visiting Durban in a previous video ❤
Hopefully we can come visiting again soon! It was such an amazing trip
Welcome to Mzansi ❤️
How do you not have Motion-activated Escalators?! We have them everywhere in South Africa!
I’m sure we have them somewhere but I haven’t found any yet
Why do you say driving wrong side of the road
I meant opposite side of the road. This was the first time for us driving on the left
Those guys were tryin' to pick pocket y'all xD. You were smart to have picked that up because even South Africans fall victim to those "friendly" tactics xD.
They weren’t very good at it lol they started trying to talk to Paul while they were still so far away
LoL you were supposed to film like the city and streets, not just filming animals.
😂🤣 just trying to pet the local wildlife
Thank you for your visit and video clip. Our fountry is very beautiful...but as you say a few bad eggs spoil it for others. As a South African myself, there are areas i wouldn't go to. That being said, the same applies to some cities in other countries... I've visited about 8 countries ouside of Africa and did get lost...ended up the the typical "Bronx" like areas...was very scary...so YES every country has "no-go" areas. I hope you enjoyed your visit to sunny, friendly South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤️🇿🇦❤
We had such a great time in Durban! When we were flying into Joburg and our plane got below the clouds for the first time, we were blown away by how beautiful and green it was. And then getting to Durban and seeing the coast, we were so excited! We can’t wait to go back.
Maid of the mist has electric boats
I heard they have 6 of them now
@@SavagesAdventures I think they only have 2
Still not safe
Fyi - On your Google search bar on your phone , you have the mic for voice recognition and a little camera. The camera is Google lens and can identify objects in your picture. You can either upload a picture to identify or you can take a snap shot, crop the object and Google will identify it for you. A must when trying to identify wildlife..
Oh wow I’m going to have to try that out! I downloaded an app to identify plant life but didn’t realize it was so easily accessible on google
I have always wanted to try a Beavertail😋😛
They are amazing and I wish I had one right now
Good honest review
I really appreciate this comment
