They can't be mint condition with rust on them.

The stamped coins are called "Counter Stamped". Also you should check the 1983 penny weight. Since they should all be 2.5g but if you can find a 1983 penny that weighs 3.1g that is a good day.

Great video. the 1914 is an awesome find.

I will cross the million mark in the next few weeks. Oldest find: 1881 IHC, nicest IHC: 1887 XF, 20 IHC's total. Lowest mintage: 1915-S cent. 2 steels. plus a 1983 DDR. Keep hunting, they're out there. Found 3 Indians in the last week!

I started roll hunting pennies 55 years ago. I have boxes filled with them. Full rolls going back to the 1930's. I would stop saving them after I got a couple rolls of each date and mint mark. I never had much luck with key dates.

My oldest was a 1917

I've got a 5 gallon jar filled with pennies I've been collecting for over 40 years. Can you recommend a method for beginning to sort them and maybe a website where I could look up questionable ones? I keep putting it off because I can't figure out how to start.

You obviously don't hoard copper. You could have saved a crap load of those as copper, including Canadians 1996 and older

I found d a 1919 under a bathroom floor. It was on newspaper from the same time. So cool because my grandads real-estate firm was on the newspaper add. Blessings
