I've watched tons and tons of videos on this subjrct, and tried them all, but I have no clue why none of these hacks have ever worked for me, and it's really annoying and frustrating. Your explanation was very clear and easy to understand, and I appreciate the time you spend sharing your knowledge. Thank you.
@@belindalonso1 Thanks for the nice comments! I think a big part of the problem is the Cricut keeps ‘updating’ DS and their updates always mess something else up. 2 updates ago the hack that I have in this video no longer worked. I haven’t used DS since, so I don’t if it is back to working again. So, it might not be you that is the problem, but that DS has again changed… thanks for the nice comments and happy crafting!
@@katherinelearnsstuff Thanks again for reaching out back. I really apprecitae your time doing so.
Or leave the pallet outside for several years in the Oregon rain and it’ll look all old and beat up naturally lol. I love this prop because it’s simple and made with stuff anyone can get. Those sound effects are awesome btw. You should find a way to sell the sound files. I’d buy it.
@@rachaelb9164 That would be easier to just leave it outside…. But the neighbours might not like that…🤣. Let me think about the sounds effects and see what I can do. Thanks for watching!
What did you use for the sound/speaker / MP3 etc?
Made the noises on the computer and uploaded it to an old phone and connected it to old computer speakers.
Can you add ur sound link to download it. Would like to use ur sound it's pretty good
@@elpistiador6457 that was a home made sound track I don’t have it available on any streaming services.

Very cute!

My question. Is can I use sublimation ink, in my non-sublimation converted printer, if I only intend to be printing on normal letter paper? I ask because someone got me ink for my eco-tank, not knowing what sublimation ink is.
@@justinsorgaard5079 you can use sublimation ink on regular paper. I just don’t think you can put sub-ink into a printer if there was already regular ink in it. But if you have already converted it to a sublimation printer, you can just use it to print on regular paper. Hopefully that helps.
My question. Is can I use sublimation ink, in my non-sublimation converted printer, if I only intend to be printing on normal letter paper? I ask because someone got me ink for my eco-tank, not knowing what sublimation ink is.
Sorry for the late reply, for some reason this didn't show up for me sooner. Do you mean mix sublimation ink into a printer with regular ink in it? For that I'm not sure. I have only ever put sub ink into a fresh printer that has never had ink in it before.
This was a very informative video, thank you! I'm using the "Create Sticker" feature in the Design Space and many material options go away. I just can't figure out which printable sticker paper in the list (there are 3) is most compatible with the Koala paper. Do you see the same options and have an opinion?
I don’t use the “create sticker” option. I don’t use Cricut Access. I have heard others have issues with only being able to use limited paper types in this feature. I just make my stickers from scratch add an offset, attach and flatten. That way I’m able to use any paper setting I want. Hope that helps
I feel like it shouldn't be that hard to program cricut to place the registration marks at all 4 corners of the paper to use the entire 8.5x11
I bought more fabric but am afraid to try again
I’m kind of chuckling. No matter what I do the seams show on the inside when I’m done. I’m wondering if I’m flipping the inner lining wrong through the zipper. Is there any way you can show exactly how to turn it through the zipper hole. I have ripped and re done I bet 5 times. Maybe one of the other people can give me an idea of what I’m doing wrong.
Tomorrow am going to try again
Wow! You fly through the buckle part. I had to go somewhere else to see how to do that. Also, when i finished the lining the seams showed. I took it apart and re did it thinking i followed the directions. But when i finished had the same issue. Don’t know what i did wrong
Thanks for the feed back. I’ll have to look into redoing the buckle part. As for the liner, I’m not sure why it would be showing when sewing it together. It should be inside out when sewing it, and then flipped right side out to hide all the seams. Maybe some of it pulled away while clipping or sewing together.
Oh I’m sure it’s me😊 I’m going to try again later. I rarely give up
Thanks for the reply😊
@@susandeal9042 I love it when people try my projects, but also love to hear how they turned out (or if there are problems with the designs). So i appreciate you letting me know, and my fingers are crossed that you can make it work! Good luck!
@@katherinelearnsstuff I’ll let you know how m next one turns out😊😊
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
I love when I watch a tutorial and I have a "mouth drop" moment. This video was so incredibly helpful for the print then cut feature! I always feel like I am wasting so much paper when I use this feature and this tutorial will alleviate that. Thank you so much for figuring it out for us!
I'm so glad to hear it was helpful! Thanks!
why don't you use glow in the dark glitter
I hadn't thought of that. Thanks!
IV used glow in the dark powder for resin prints. I'll be adding some to a small potion vial and report back
I wonder if you can pin them inside out and sew it that way that way you won't see the extra on the outside🤔
Good idea! I'm going to try this method
I never thought of that! That might work. The only thing I would worry about would be the feeling on the inside of the pants for the kids wearing it.
Koala paper is better that cricut paper
If you roll your mat away from any type of cardstock it will release easier.
I normally do that, but for some reason on camera I forgot! 🤦♀️ thanks!
@@katherinelearnsstuff lol yeah sometimes I see that happen so I just commented to help others who may do that. Even I forget sometimes.
Would it be overkill to do on top and one on the inside?
I never thought of that. So, I’m not sure. I know that after some busy seasons I have had to re-patch patches that were worn through. So an extra layer might be ok.
Great idea! A tip for cutting the shelf so it doesn't chip.....along where you are going to cut, put painter's tape.
Great tip!
These are great! I want to make some for me and some for my daughter who LOVES playing all types of games. Good idea for a gift. :) Thank you!!! 😊🌻
Most helpful. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Had the same problem when I first tried on my Maker way back when. I then tried glitter iron on and cut the shadow layer on cardstock, it’s so much cleaner looking and you get a lot of sparkle!🤩 Since then I’ve only used glitter cardstock with my dies. Blessings.🕊🥰🙋🏻♀️💜tfs
Great video. Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
I wonder how it would work if you put transfer tape on your mat before you place the glitter paper (glitter side down). You may still need to tape your cardstock down, but it will keep the glitter from dirty ingredients up the mat. Not sure if the extra layer on the may affect the cut.
Hmmm.. that’s an interesting idea, and as I’m always too lazy to scrub my mats, I’m going to give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!
Perfect! Thank you for such an easy and effective DIY!
Glad you liked it!
'Promo SM' 🍀
Thank you so much for the clarification. This sorted my issues to use sublimation ink for regular documents printing or not. Keep making such helpful videos. Lots of love from India. Keep learning keep sharing. ❤❤❤
The dove motif might lend itself nicely for the wording -happy anniversary ( if you put another one on, facing the first one for instance) or even-In sympathy, as well.
that's a great idea!
Thanks for the video! Needed to patch up some pants. They do sell fusible interfacing which is like a whole roll of the same material as the fusing tape I believe. Might save some time rather than cutting all the strips of tape since you can cut a full rectangle to the size you need! I'm not sure if it's exactly the same material, but it looks and functions very similarly (iron on).
Oh! that is such a great idea! I never thought of that! I will have to investigate this further! Thanks!
Thanks this is so helpful 😊
i came here just to identify an ink from a printer given to me by my sister since her friend left the business and all the printing equipement and press was left to me.,, thanks for the video.
Girl uhh chipboard is already weak asf so cutting it across the length and using both to make the shelf?... uhh... so... how's it holding up?
Have you tried playing with your printer settings to get a better quality print on the koala paper? That might help. Also, I always test to see if my paper cut al the way through before I unload the sheet, you can hit recut if you did not unload the paper so that you don't waste a whole page.
When I print out my stickers I play with the print settings, but I was just using the exact same settings on both papers to see how they compared. I normally check my cuts to make sure they go through all the way, but it is nice to know what settings works the first time. I find with print then cut, if you have to recut it (without removing) it starts from the beginning by finding the registration marks, and takes a long time. Thanks for watching!
I wonder if you did two passes with the printable vinyl selection for cutting, if that would cut all the way without ripping. thanks for your video. I will try the koala paper when I get to my sticker making
If you send it through to cut a second time, it does cut all the way through, but it has to find the registration marks and starts from the beginning…. I was hoping to do a fast cut, and I don’t always remember to check if it cut through before I pull the mat out of the machine.
I have got into the habit of checking ALL the time if the cut went through the first run. I have had so many disasters realizing it only cut partially with paper crafts. if only it would play nice the first time! lol@@katherinelearnsstuff
Beautiful work
Thank you so much 😀
Can use use the regular ink photo on a polyester shirt ❤❤
I’ve never tried it, so I’m not sure. I’ll have to give it a try.
use pigment .. not a dye ink...
The Cricut sticker paper did the same thing to me. It alway had bleeding. Thanks
I used the Cricut paper with my sublimation printer and didn’t have the bleeding (it’s the exact same printer, just different ink). But I’m happy with me less expensive version of sticker paper 😊
