Dumb person here, maybe interested in this dumber phone. With lineageOS: can you install stuff like WhatsApp or other android apps?
that looks cool I'd totally try that
Bought this phone, it works great, battery is really good, but i have concerns if its safe to use email and banking apps on it. What do you think about data safety of this phone?
I have the same fear. That’s why I don’t buy it.
Smartphone.
Can you install on apple iBook g3?
Does the the camera app or any app on the lineageos use the full 19mp like the stock camera?
No mention of bitrate and quality :-(
Bro my phone(one plus nord 5g gen 1) fell down and broke , and i need to get a used phone atleast for a year, and it shud have NFC and decent camera and performs fairly well as im in university. i work mostly on my pc, i only use phones for mails, authentication, and sometimes use camera for selfie and video. Do u recommend me getting the pixel 2(as im kinda broke) as i need it for uni.
It's hard to say if I recommend it or not. I think the phone works just fine even in 2024 but they're are issues due to its age like the battery life I mentioned in the video. I have noticed that many used ones on eBay have bad OLED panels so if you do buy one just try to find out if it has an issue with the battery and OLED screen. You could also consider other used devices like the PIxel 3a or 4a as I've seen decent deals on those. Again, just make sure to ask about the OLED and battery. Good luck man.
Still using mine since I got it when it first came out and it still runs very well. I had a peek and mine is running the android 9 os. No real complaints from me here about this phone.
battery life how many hours a day
@QuangLâm-h1v I think over a ten hour period of my typical usage ranges from 40-55% use of the battery. So, after a ten hour period I still have approx 53% to 64% battery life remaining.
really bad tutorial, skipping and jumping dont even show us how to really do it we have to figure bits out by ourselves
For the love of God, disable conky. It's a cpu hog especially on such older machines.
Before loading os, when i use 'adb devices it says unauthorized instead of sideload.
bro of course the fucking gestures are useless if youre leaning your phone at the bottom of a wall against some bork like a tree person LMAO
Elva Mission
great video man!
Dude! You should try the "key thumb" keyboard on f-droid. Game-changer for typing in this small screen and to preserve the physical buttons. I'm loving it
can we get a link to download the fines?
I’ve always wondered how many provinces the average American can name because most Canadians can name atleast a quarter of the states. I guess thats because America is more popular

Hello @dumbcomputing - could you please provide some links to guides/info on how you managed to install lineageOS? Thank you for your video!
Can i install this on a samsung a55
Watching on iPhone 5s no issues.
Ubuntu Touch sucks. Why? Oh, it works fine in places like Europe but in the US, it is NOT a viable phone do to its lack of VoLTE 4G to which most phones are moving too. The lack of this means that it is not able to do simple things like make a phone call. Until they fix this then it can not be considered a real alternative.
Is ubuntu touch able to install normal arm apps for ubuntu like box64?
Ubuntu touch isn't fully independent on a former Android phone due to it using the Android drivers via Halium does it need Android to work and waydroid also works better when the device uses Halium.
Looks great thanks
thanks. this is amazing, great work.
I'm pretty convinced to get this, except for one thing that I'm unsure about, though it's more of an issue with the physicality of the phone rather than its specs. A lot of vintage dumbphones disable the keypad when locked - presumably to make sure no butt dials or pocket dials are happening while on the move. Is it the same with the F21 Pro keypad?
Yes, the keys are locked
A guy said that he will sell me this phone for 65€ (it is in perfect condition) and it Is not docomo so i will be able to install lineage os 20 (Andr 13) should i buy it?
Have you ever came across a weird unresponsive touch issue yet? It randomly would stop responding in the middle of using the phone until I had to shut the screen off and turn it back on again... I thought updating it to the latest lineage version 21 would fix this but the problem is there but its different now... basically its a 50/50 chance the phones touch will work or not from the moment you turn the screen on (doesn't matter if its through the fingerprint or pressing the side button) if the touch is working then it will work the entire time the screen is on, as soon as the screen times out or you turn the screen off by pressing the side button is when it will be hit or miss all over again when you want to turn the phone screen on again! It's so odd because I ended up buying a brand new replacement screen from witrigs I think the website is and you would think a new screen would fix this. I'm wondering if its something to do with lineage
Great, AntiX Linux is today gets the old laptop hp is the here are go linux
Very cool, thank u for video
It sounds like you modified it to use more the US bands, interesting you're still getting poor reception. I couldn't use mine when I first bought it, but a year later stumbled across the guide on unlocking the other bands. In my experience, at least where I am in Maryland, I'm getting close to, if not the same reception as my iPhone...
Lol why they put selfie cam there i thought only sharp did this a decad ago
Should I buy this or go for xz2 compact or xz2.. i really love compact phones..
side load command did not work for windows 10
I want one of these as universal TV remote. I could use the IR blaster to control the volume. I downloaded apps like the Firestick remote. I don't know why no one has be a made an android power remote that clones the Bluetooth remote like a firestick remote.
The f22 does It looks like that rubin guy phone too(,the proto 2nd gen)
Bought another one in 2024 after last one became weak after using for 5 years. No other brand has introduced a similar sized phone since 2016?? Wow. The phone is so good that I bought the same phone 3 times every couple of years since 2016
Can I get a full Linux desktop experience by connecting it to a mouse and a monitor?
use a tripod godammit
Hi. You can try waydroid and box64 or box32?
Hi will this also work on the normal OnePlus 6
Please help what keyboard did you install?
Hey, I was wondering if you could do a visual guide to installing LineageOS please!
I try booting the latest version of GhostBSD on my Lenovo ThinkPad laptop from 2014 and I just get a bunch of warnings telling me to install the nVidia drivers. But I don't want to, and I shouldn't have to: the system has Intel integrated graphics, and the nVidia card was added extra just for a little extra performance. Most Linux distros just ignore it and choose to use the Intel integrated, which in most cases is enough for me. For some reason, GhostBSD sees the nVidia card and then fails to set up the display on the spot, notifying me that there is an nVidia card in there, as if I actually wanted to use it. On the other hand, NomadBSD does boot into a fully functional desktop, although I don't know if it's using the nVidia or Intel card. To be honest, I don't really care which one it is, because it works and it's good enough. It's not like I expect to do any heavy 3D like gaming in a BSD, my expectations aren't that high.
good job. Whats the procedure on lineageOS installation.
Thank you for the video! People like you make difference in the world! Blessings
was your phone the docomo version ?
Still using this phone as a work phone. I justt replaced the battery today. Before replacing the battery, it was 58%. It performs surprisingly well and the battery life is… ok. Not pro-max level but it can last a day of normal usage.
