hello can you explain the technic after the base??? the name of the colour for highlight and shadow please

What paints do you use for 5 o'clock shadow/stubble? Are there any vids on this procedure?

Seemed to have lost half my comment. One vid suggested using white primer as it should make the definitions easier to see. What is your thought ? I couldn't make out what the name of the oil you used was. My hearing is slightly impaired but my dexterity in my fingers is okay !! Don't expect to be brilliant straight off but you have inspired me to have a go. Thanks a bundle, Rick

Totally awesome !! Best fascial I've ever seen but your's was only the 3rd vid I've watched. I'm going to try some on my 1:76 or 1:87 model people on my railway layout. They don't seem to have anything like the level of definition that yours did. One vid suggested priming in white as this may show up moulding lines better on less defined faces. What would your suggestion be ? Also I couldn't make out the name of the oil you used. I have a steady hand for a 61 year old and you have inspired me to give it a go. It just looks fantastic what you did. Maybe I should practice on a larger scale first ? Thanks Rick

Great tutorial! I especially like how you don't hide your mistakes and instead show how to fix them. Surprising how much of the hobby is just that - "fixing" little mistakes.

Sunny Skintone from Vallejo paints works perfectly as a highlight color for just about any color of paint you are using, I have tried it and it works!

A good and effective paint scheme, I'd call them the Wardens of Procyon.

Tried this for the first time tonight, honestly probably the best tutorial I've yet found if given what I was able to get with it, and I would never claim to be a fantastic painter. Thank you for the video!

Nice eye painting method and tips, will give that a go. I had not thought of starting with a black, I usually do the eye at the same stage, then use ink to get the dark edge. I've been painting for 30 years and still learning.

is it difficult to paint once it's already glued to the model? i made the mistake of glueing it first

this tutorial really friggen helped me.

God damn I don't know how you make it all look so clean. As soon as i put that wash on, no matter how careful I am to take care of any pools outside of the recesses, it comes out looking like a mottled, blotchy mess.

I feel like space wolves would work well for this....maybe some flannel/plaid textures. I think its warmachine that has a mini riding a polar bear....

strange historical facts....Canadians were some of the most feared soldiers in WW1 an WW2. Our willingness to perform trench raids, use gas attacks and refusals to take prisoners was widely feared. Theres a famous story about the xmas day ceasefire....the canadians started throwing tins of corned beef into the enemy trenches when the germans started thanking them and asking for more they threw grenades in response. If you go to the war museum in Ottawa you can see a collection of "trench crafted" raiding weapons, theres lots of spiked clubs and car parts turned into daggers..... It is now widely accepted the canadians were acting so brutally in reaction to a rumor/propaganda story about "the crucified soldier" it's pretty interesting a culture known for its politeness and civility became feared for its brutality in a very short time. If we weren't on the winning side history might view us differently.

Started an attempt your way on some old scout models, starting to think I should of practised on primaris as the details on these models is terrible...

Seems like a great technique, definitely going to give it a go. I have some Genestealer Cults to do and I will try a variation on this theme. I like the base then black in the eye idea. It makes a lot of sense. I'm going to be trying out some crazy ideas on the genestealers so this is just another cool thing to try out. Really good video, thanks a lot B)_
