ectocore with a short piece of melodic sample, heavily distorted. without CV, the "amen" knob is like a mini rungler sequencer. turning it selects different random step sequences- here it has selected a 6 step sequence. turning the amen attenuator (without cv) adds in stepped randomness, creating more variety in the 6-step pattern. turning the break knob adds random effects (here I think there ...

I’m not usually one for digital modules myself, but I suspect I’m going to have to break that rule for a module with knobs labelled ‘amen’ and ‘break’! It looks awesome!
This is a great script! I use it mostly with Crow, but it is so flexible.
a video manual explaining step by step what is doing exactly will be really great including how you bring the loops inside the module, also will be interesting to know the quality of the sample playback and if is possible to have a very clean signal, thank you

Is this just a eurorack module of the zeptocore? Is it a 1:1 same engine? Including the step FX? Thx!
same engine but different interface. ectocore has CV ins that zeptocore does not have. ectocore has a special trig out on machine-learned transients and a dedicated clock out too.
So what exactly was happening here? Random playback of slices? Or was there an external sequence with pitch information? .. any internal FX prior to the distortion?/ It already sounded saturated/? Is that a feature within the module? It did sound stunning btw ✨🔊🔊
ectocore is sequencing the playback of a sample. ectocore adds a little fx (saturation distortion) and then bib adds reverb + distortion and then crest adds wavefolding + distortion...

hello I have a couple questions. can each sample be played back chromatically? similar to the pocket operator ko 33. also can each sample be played back through midi note control or is midi only for sync? I would like to use it like a sound module.
not similar to the po-33, but it can be pitched freely (no tunings). midi is for sync only right now.

cool stuff, keeping my eye on this one. Besides manual chaotic mashing, can you do manual input where the triggering gets quantized according to settings? For example, you press now, but it triggers every X beat, so you can do tighter, more in sync breakage? Haven't looked into the specs yet, so sorry if this is a dumb question :)
ah that's a great idea! you can do different types of sequencing (full control) or random jumping (which is a lot like you suggest) and it can do turing-machine type sequencing (close to what you suggest) but not exactly what you are saying, I will consider adding it :)
