Jurassic Park - The Return (Fan Film - VHS - 1993)

My cousin Joey (puppeteer) and I (cameraman) made this using Jurassic Park action figures back in the late summer of 1993. Filmed on a bulky VHS video camera, we edited it using a VCR, a microphone, CD boombox, and Mario Paint on SNES. We made a superior sequel to this but the tape has been lost to history. Apologizes to Michael Crichton and Steven Spielberg.

I love this movie! It was one of the very first videos I ever watched on TH-cam as a kid, and it inspired me to make videos for TH-cam and create a dinosaur adventure story of my own.
Definitely having my kids watch this when the time comes an absolute childhood classic

I remember the first time watching this. Me and my best friend at the time were heavily into the 80s and 90s sci-fi/action/ adventure movies with Jurassic Park being our all time favorite. Oh man all the ideas we would come up with for whenever the next sequel would come out and all the time spent playing with our Jurassic Park toys. We’re in our very early twenties now and sadly he got into drugs and I ended up having a kid at 19. We used to talk about making our own Jurassic Park movies like this but we never got around to it. Growing up can really fucking suck man 😔

So many memories making this film! We made a second one and it was our masterpiece. I think Ricky’s dad recorded a Flyers game over it! My cousin and i talked for years about making more but we grew up. Thanks for all the love!

Hey J if you still check your comments. Do you ever remember seeing a Jurassic Park toy movie where the kids filming had their hands in the video the whole time and the dinosaurs could talk. It was all about how the dinosaurs could come up with a plan to get rid of the humans on the island and the Raptor was the leader. I remember there was a scene where the humans used a boat to run over a heard of dinosaurs and at the end of the movie the Raptor gets picked up by a fighter jet because "It's the American Way". I've been looking for years and have never been able to find that video again.
