Lovely table, where’s the cash?
Thanks very much I’ve spent the cash on more tools
@@SteveBellCreates when it comes to glueing the strips together, how often do you encounter the wood bowing after getting glued, I to have a interest in woodworking, found me some pallets recently, thinking I can turn them into something appealing thus earning me some cash haha, that’s my thought
@@arlingtontrains7 hi I don’t really have that much problem with bowing the main thing is to keep the strips flat in the clamps good look with your build
You can use silicone baking mats instead of plastic bags. They are heat resistant, reusable, and washable.
Yes that’s a good idea it was all we had at the time thanks for watching
You need a CNC machine :)
I’ll save up for one 😂
👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much
Excellent video and just love the toolbox! Knep it up Steve
Thanks so much Toni glad you liked it
Nice work Steve. I Will have to try that game!
Yeh you should thanks for watching
Love the design. Great job!!
Oh thanks so much Ryan
They look so good. And great story-telling.
Thanks so much Andy
Hola, podria poner las medidas para guiarnos y poder hacer uno?gracias.
Hey Steve, thanks for the shout out man. I promise, the exact same thing is going on here, not being able to figure out what to make, or the things that needs making is not video material 😆.
Hi Jesper your welcome yeh it’s a nightmare but I’m sure a creative genius like you will overcome that mental block
That unknown name for your router but:🎉 It’s referred to as a “Keyhole Router Bit”. 👍👍👍
Thanks Andrew I that makes so much sense
Brilliant as usual, Steve! Thank you!
Thanks so much Dave so glad you liked it
I love that you have Festool, Shaper Origin, some big CNC or laser or something behind you…and a succession of wristwatches from the dollar store! (Pound store?)
You’ve got to love a Casio the best watch ever
Great bit of storytelling and the the first 90 seconds was the best work you've ever done! seriously though it was a super video and an even better project.
Thanks Andrew glad you liked it and thanks for your great comments cheers it means a lot
Lovely knobs 🤩 all turned out bonnie & enjoyed the tunes too ❤
Thanks John glad you like my knobs
Great project Steve. Some times ideas are hard. We all go through dry patches. Glad you came out of yours. I need to learn to incorporate my laser, like you have to compliment my projects, instead of being the whole project. Have a good week in the shop!
Thanks so much yeh I’m trying to use the laser in a more creative way. Have a great week yourself and thanks once again
Beautiful work Steve. Very modern.
Thanks so much Martin
That's very nice. They have a bit of a Mr Men aesthetic but are very nice all the same.
Thanks I was thinking more like minions 😂
Starting is always the hardest part of any project, I'm sure many makers can identify with similar feelings!! Keep the videos coming... workshop tour coming soon? ;)
Thanks Chris yes your right starting is always hard thanks for watching. Sadly yes the workshop tour will be here soon😂
Great video. Great end results. Nice.
Thanks very much glad you liked it
I didn't think I was going to like what you're making, but I really do! Great work on both the product and the video
Thanks so much glad you liked it
Nice hand plane in the background 😊. I really enjoy your format, it does help me limit my workshop procrastination
Cheers Thomas yes lovely hand plane!! I wonder where I got that from. Thanks for watch glad you liked it
If you're ever stuff for ideas, maybe you could try the SCRAPWOODBUILDOFF! nothing like a competition to get the juices following 😁
Hey Steve that turned out really nice, well done
Thanks Andy much appreciated
Can you share where you've found the desk shelf templates please? 🙂
Do you mean the desk shelf drawers
Yes, sorry. :-)
I got the files from printables this is the link www.printables.com/model/716101-desk-organizer-tray-grovemade-inspired Good luck with your build
what a great story that was! Incredible end result. I know you liked the intro - I love it! Thanks for the shout-out
Thanks so much it means a lot coming from you from you thanks Pierre for all your encouragement

Thank you so much I really appreciate it your kind words
Anyone have the link to the drawer file?
Hi this is the link to the draw file on Printables www.printables.com/model/716101-desk-organizer-tray-grovemade-inspired
@@SteveBellCreatesthank you very much, great project btw
@SubTOArc cheers
Right, Ive just brought all the tools & materials 1. Router - £870 2. Work bench a clamps - £500 3. Sander - £120 5. Circular Saw £240 6. Drill - £220 4. Materials - £147 Saved myself £400! Grovemade, more like Savemade
They saw you coming when you bought that router
Amazing work! I am going to try to make one with minimal tools, just was wondering what drawers you got for you shelf?
Thanks very much. I 3D printed my drawers using a file that is available on a website printables.com just search for grovemade on printables and you will find them. You can easily make one with minimal tools good luck. If you don’t have a 3D printer a friend maybe able to help out cheers and thanks for watching
You saved nothing it took you 30 years and $150k to be able to build that beautiful work of art.
I too was looking to build my own to save money, but after watching this video, I rather pay than to do all this. You are a master at the craft and I am in no way capable of doing something like this easily in a short amount of time.
I’m sure you could make one a lot simpler with some wood that was already square and planed on all sides and use that for the legs as well and you needn’t have a load of tools. I wish I was a master 😂 I’m still learning everyday. Thanks so much for watching
I would love to use that in an event when I'm making tortillas 🙃
Thanks yeh that would be a great party
The desk is really nice. The only thing I would change is going with solid walnut for the riser to improve the aesthetics. I suffer from OCD and trivial things can become big annoyances.
Thanks so much yes walnut would have been nice but I used what I had. I can fully understand the OCD thing
@@SteveBellCreates It really is a lovely desk.
Love your way to make the viewer on a trip into your life as a woodworker! Keep it up!
Oh thank you so much your comment means so much
My old pub in London had one. I still have some half pennies that I bought in the market although one appears to be a 1990 2p coin from Guernsey!
Yeh you still see the occasional one in a pub up here . I bought my halfpenny’s from eBay thanks for watching
Great video
Thanks David cheers

Really well crafted and good looking just as a piece of high end wood working. The one issue with ponies that have large knobs on the side, however, is that your thread loop sometimes gets snagged on the knobs while you're stitching. If they could be made tapered and flush (or slightly inset) knobs to avoid this, it would be perfection.
Thanks Steve for your great comments and my wife is constantly using the stitching pony. I like your ideas about the knobs cheers
Wow! Beautiful work. I’ve seen a lot of these made, but yours earns 1st place by a good margin 👍 Subscription earned.
Thanks so much really glad you liked it and thanks for subscribing
Looks great! What is the material for the drawers at 13:55?
Thanks so much I 3D printed the drawers in PLA
Really enjoyed this Steve! Creating and expressing yourself gives so much fulfillment, and you can do it in so many ways.
Thanks so much Christian being creative is part of me and all of us cheers
Love it! Looks awesome, and i like how you use different tools and techniques for the different parts. And who does not want a Shaper now!! 🤩 Took a while for me to watch it. Sorry! -but was saving it for the big tv, and not just on my phone one the bus to work 😛. And it was worth it 🔥
Thanks so much Thor glad you liked it. Cheers man
