Hi, i just got an indian ringneck. He's around 6 weeks old. I have it for four days, but he's still hiding under the box material like yours. When i take it outside the box to feed him, it doesn't stand up. It just lay down like when in the box. Is that normal? Is he still shy or its something wrong with his feet. When he grab with his feet its too strong. Looking forward for an answer/advice. Thanks

I love this. They would be welcome in my garden and feeders. Quakers are illegal in Wisconsin as they can survive the winters and the people would fight for them as we did the wolves. These guys would be more fun than crows and crows are cool.

I just got my very first Quaker Parrot 🦜 2 weeks ago. He’s a “Blue Crossover”. He is all white with a tiny hint of baby blue on his tail feathers 🪶. He has quite the big personality. I was shocked by how quick he fit into the family. We had a male Eclectus Parrot who passed away this summer and I have a Female Pineapple Conure. They really haven’t quite figured out their working relationship but both birds hang off me 24-7 when I am home.

Question? What size basket and where did you get it? Where do you keep the babies? Are they still with the parents?

Why would you have a perch from inside of the nesting box? Been in birds for some 25 years and I have never seen anything like that. It makes their nesting lot more difficult. The best design is when the nesting box is prolonged and the opening is on one side of it giving birds lot more privacy. Nice birds otherwise 👍
