Osark Trail Ridge Mountain Bike (modified)
มุมมอง 2.9Kปีที่แล้ว
@BermPeakExpress @SethsBikeHacks @KevCentral The Osark Trail Ridge mountain bike was purchased at Walmart. I added Shimano MT200 hydraulic brakes, 170mm PNW dropper post, Advent clutch derailleur, and set of new pedals. This bike ride great I'm really impressed with it. The best part is this bike and parts are budget friendly.
please take off dork disc 😭🙏
I think it's berm peak rebuild bike
Is it better to upgrade this platform or buy a bike with a better fork and tires?
Your front brake cable is going to catch on something and rip out. Also mega lol at "Rod from Berm Peak"
Hey do you know why my shocks are so hard to press in like they barly work it’s so stiff on the trails and jumping
Guys did berm peak move to another channel ???!!! 😂
Could you put a 120mm or 140mm fork on this bike? Thank you!
i like your hatchback, do you watch drewpeacock on youtube?
Specs or model on front wheel or a link. ?
Get rid of the dork disc
Could easily paint that frame and put whatever branding you wanted and nobody would ever know the difference. Saw that fork on sale for labor day from 365 cycles for like $220-$275 depending on travel. Throw on an advent or advent x And for under $1k you could have a pretty nice bike with tires of your choice as well
That just answered a lot of questions for me. Outstanding job Sir 😊
So now it’s no budget ride anymore. What’s the point.
Hahaha…Roger??? Seth is so happy knowing that he’s had such an influence…even if his name got butchered!
What Rise are you using? Hight? I'm looking to put one on as well my back is killing me at 6.3 it's a bend.... I'm thinking of going up 3 in. or maybe even looking for a "reverse Riser".
What size tires f and back
I have the vibe version… Large size… I usually only drive over gravel, rocks on the trail of like a trail that is made like a street, then on the street, yet there’s cracks and lifted streets where I drive and bump over yet it’s a smooth ride.. Getting it looked at now as the brakes make noise and the gears jump..
How much did you spend on upgrades?
Just went out and bought one of these as my first intro into mountain biking. Feels great being back out on a bike after the pandemic. Any recommendations for upgrades that a beginner might need? I feel like the bike comes pretty good stock.
I'm really hoping that these bikes bring the bike industry back down to earth in their pricing. Wishful thinking.
Rockshox suspension size???..
Roger from berm peak 💀💀💀 had me dead
I was like damn i know that dudes name aint Roger 😂
**Seth lol
hye, I would like to know the measurement of where the fork is. Do you know what the measurement is and if it is conical?
As a former mechanic i must say, the front brake hose being routed around the outside of the fork makes me nauseous, just because i'm indoctrinated to build bikes to shop floor standards lol
The dude who owns and runs berm peak is named seth
That’s an interesting way to spell “Roger”
Is it bad that I umm……. Kinda took my dork disc off?
The fork that you got, was it tapered or straight tube? If tapered did you have to replace the headset bearings?
Nice, how much were the upgrades?
Im debating if I should just get a Polygon Xtrada 7 or build this walmart bike up like Berm Peak. What do you think? is the Xtrada 7 the better bike?
The xtrada7 is way better tbh. You're not going to be able to build it up for cheaper than the xtrada unless you get good deals on parts.
Dork disk is crazy
Thanks for confirming I can use the original rims for my tubeless conversion!
Seth
I just bought one. Nice bike
Looking gooood. Have loads of fun on that thing.
Bro I just bought this bike. Took it right to Boggy Draw Colorado and did about 9 miles all mountain. This bike is doing great. .
Run that front hose on the inside of the fork...
And for God sake take off the dork disc!!!
Looks like a GT Avalanche
That brings the question. At $467 is the GT Avalanche Sport a better bike to start with than the Ozark Trail Ridge? And/Or is it a better platform to upgrade along the same lines as Seth did to the OT Ridge?
It pretty nice bike from Walmart that is where I alway get my just to ride on the local parks trail
did you have to change the calipers to work on the 180mm rotors? or just new rotors and adapter brackets?
Seems like a lot of people buy these to trick out
Yeah cause it’s hard to afford thousands at once lol
Can someone explain me the logic behind changing the stock rims when the fork is upgraded? I’m new to the hobby trying to understand.
The new fork comes with a thru-axle instead of a quick release, so you have to replace the wheel hub. Unless you’ve got an expensive wheel already, replacing the whole wheel is probably cheaper than changing the hub and keeping the old rim.
@@ianbohle6099 Thank you! I had to search what's a thru-axle but now I know. Just got the same bike and trying to decide where to start tinkering first. (Probably gonna be the MT200 hydraulic brakes) Thanks a lot again for the explanation, much appreciated!🙏
Take that dork disk off and you’re good to go. 😊
But I look so cool rocking it. 😎
@@Dennis-kt6md touché
@@Dennis-kt6md that bike is pretty legit! Can’t say I haven’t been tempted
Seth
Where did he get Roger from😂
Anyone recommend a crankset that I should put on my ozark trail ridge?
Same as the one he has ixf
@dennis is the head tube a true tappered head tube? Also did the cage bolts interfere with the dropper post?
Is that a dropper seat
Sick bike
You forgot to remove the dork disc
=P post, not fork =)
This or the Giant Talon 4 on sale for $500 now?
