ANIMAGIC Style 2016
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 18 มิ.ย. 2020
- A 19-year-old who tries his best to make accurate Rankin/Bass Puppet Replicas!!! It's a bit silly I guess. I started this channel when I was only 15 and made my first "replica" at that age as well. I was so happy with my work. Today I'm just as happy looking back at the things I've made. The videos are coming slower than I had hoped when I first started the channel as I am currently in college studying studio arts. One day I'm going to be an animator!!! Isn't that exciting? Please don't worry. I plan on sharing many more of my works with you all soon!!
- I'm a huge fan of the classic Rankin/Bass specials and Stop Motion animation.
- Huge fan of Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964)

Had no idea this was stop motion as well!! I still prefer the original but that could be nostalgia talking. Fantastic!
Looks good. :)
You know I hope the rudolph the red nosed reindeer 4d models are safe and in storage
Are you going to make more character video's? These are great into the process of rankin bass stop motion. Would love to see more if you have it.
So wonderfull! ❤
I didn't like the sound of the voices. They were close but you could do better.
Are you still around? I like these puppet replicas!
Hi! So sorry for the wait. Yes, I'm still here and okay. I haven't been working too much on my replicas as of late because I started college recently. I'm looking to pursue a degree in studio arts because I'm going to be an animator someday! That's been taking up a lot of time. But I want to get back to working on replicas and videos too. Especially with Rudolph's 60th anniversary coming up this year. Hopefully, I'll get around to doing something on the channel. 😊 Thank you for reaching out. It means a lot. Sorry again for not responding sooner.
@@Animagic_Style_2016 Oh! I'm pleased you replied again! I'll be looking forward to any new videos you produce! Anyway, you say you are studying animation, right? Are you going to create stop-motion animation?
Actually more puppets have been found
I move my gf in lots of positions too and no one is complimenting ME.
Do you plan on making more rankin bass replicas? Snowmiser or Heatmiser would be nice
Hopefully someday! 😊
Did they make the whole show in 4D?
You are an absolute legend.
I don’t know if you’re open to it but I’d be happy to buy this replica from you or could I ask for a commissioned work it’s amazing I can’t get over it
Animation looks amazing, the voices aren't amazing, but I would watch this
What’s the ball material for Sam, could you get the ball shaped material from Walmart?
Awesome work! Just bought a few of the mass-produced toys/figures for gifts (and I got Bumble for myself) and would love to try this someday!
Would definitely recommend giving it a try! 😁

Ahhh. I'm so glad they restored them I want to hold one. 🦌🎅🏻☃
These are actually “publicity” puppets used for promotional photos and other purposes before being displayed at the NBC headquarters in New York and eventually being given back to Rankin Bass whose secretary took them home. These are not the same “screen used” puppets that were used in the actual making of the special, those were all filmed in Japan. A few of the actual puppets used in the making of Rudolph and other specials are in the collection of one of the animators in Japan and have appeared in some exhibitions about him.
This was actually something I discovered when making my first Sam the Snowman replica in 2020. I did some more research on my (at the time) theory and was able to confirm my theory was correct. Once I shared my discovery with Rick Goldschmidt (The Rankin/Bass historian) through instagram he shared it through his blog the next day. For the past years he has been claiming the discovery to be his own. I spent a lot of time researching for this discovery, only for him to say he discovered it by re-watching the special once? It's honestly kind of upsetting for me. I really wanted to be a part of discovering something game changing for Rankin/Bass and its history. I tried confronting him on the matter but ended up getting blocked through email as well as his socials. My apologies. I hate to be that guy, but I just wanted to share.
@@Animagic_Style_2016 he’s well known for that type of behaviour unfortunately. Very stingy about stuff that technically isn’t his and if you say the wrong thing he’ll either block you or kick you out of his group.
To this day this cartoon means so much to me and to my family. As my now as it did when I was a kid!
Isn't he the cutest little thing....just precious ❤️
These little characters will always be a precious part of my childhood. Rudolph is still cute!❤️
It's been a bit, hope all is well! After looking through the Rudoloh replicas forum I can just see the love and passion that went into these props and I can't wait to see what you have in store for the future!
Not sure how to word this, but did you attach the felt with glue or just place it ontop of the wood?
How did you make his head

I wish more of the props from the original were kept.
Cool i just started working on mine going to post it on my channel if you want to see it
I can't wait to see it!
@@Animagic_Style_2016 i'll send you link when it's finshed
I know I comment often but I decided another character you could do! Have you ever heard of the Italian mouse character Topo Gigio? (Look him up if not, he’s super adorable! The Ed Sullivan Show Channel I suggest to see the best videos of him!) But I was thinking, but apparently nobody ever attempted to make any puppet replicas of him, I think you could do one of him honestly! :) (He has two different designs from the Ed Sullivan Show and his current design, you could attempt to make both versions of him from that, but honestly I really think someone should make a replica puppet of him! :)
How would I carve the wood?
You people are Amazing
You want to know something even better than Rudolph reimagined???? COMING UP WITH AN ORIGINAL IDEA FOR A CHANGE!!!!!
This is 3-D, not 4-D, fucking dumbass.
Watch it, buddy
Where is Yukon Cornelius's sidearm/pistol that he had in the original? Replaced by a KNIFE ?? Surprised they didn't 'out' Hermie as a Gay character....Sad..... cluster of WOKE libs have taken over and wasted their time ruining a classic. Maybe they can work at copying the Mona Lisa next.
