    The girl with long hair is a friend of mine. Her shoes were causing her a lot of pain in her legs.

    I don't see any Buffalo Soldiers. Are these Indians racists? How about the song Buffalo Gals Won't You Come Out Tonight? It seems like these Indians have a limited view of the buffalo.

    I'm not seeing any Buffalo Soldiers. Are these Indians racists? Or, they could sing Buffalo Gals, Won't You Come out Tonight. Their view of buffalo seems very limited.

    You do know that when Indians used their early, small stature horses, they couldn't keep up with Buffalo. Then when Europeans brought over their larger horses they could keep up with the animals. Then when the Indians acquired guns they really went to town, killing many buffalo themselves.

    Beautiful tradition, I love the ceremony, I am grateful for SilasJulee1 for sharing the blessing. I wish I could witness 1 of these dances. My Tribe is in Washington St. My son lives in Prescott, AZ. I always tell him if he has a chance to bring home a Hopi girl.

    I really like watching these dances, but I would like to know their meaning. It would be nice if you could caption that. Thank you so much for these videos.😃 My husband and children and I visited Polacca many years ago. My husband and I Love all things Hopi and have read "Hotevilla" and horrified to learn of terrible so-called Christians sending father's to Alcatraz for not sending their children to Missionary schools off the res. Blessings!!!

    Thank you for shareing your culture with the world & for recording your history for the future to keep things correctly represented. In peter's vid you commented outsiders twist your culture out of context. What you are doing IS IMPORTANT - STAY STRONG, STAY HOPI !💪👍 i would like to know how the clotheing is made !? How over years native ppl can make clothing appearing to be traditional ???

    Trying not to pry . Would this dance be performed before or after a hunt ? Pays homage and/or respect to the buffalo? Understand 100% if it is something kept strictly among the people and can't be shared .

      Cause she also trying to stay on beat and remembering the moves that how I felt when I danced

    • @AmandaMyron
      @AmandaMyron 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Benefit of doubt, maybe she joined on short notice, like super short notice... let's hope that was the Case. Because this dance group has taken this dance to a whole new level. Highly choreographed dance moves. Along with the music the song and beat. If I wasn't familiar with the traditional version or if I simply a pahana I would think they were performing in a completion for an elite championship!!! That said , otherwise mana needs to step it up and get to practice, learn the song, and practice any chance she gets , because the rest of the peeps are on point !

      Once the buffalo were in the millions and covered all of this land from sea to sea until the evil whiteman came and slaughtered them by the millions leaving them to rot on the plains almost making them extinct ,yes most First Nations did hunt them but done in a sacred way, asking forgiveness, never wasting any part ,they are our sacred relatives and these dances are mostly to honor them
