i have designed on paper a install tool for the 5.4 triton ford engine to install the hard to reach rear bolt on the oil pump made a simple proto type and used and works after that figured a much better way to do the same job. eliminates the need to loosen or remove oil pan. main use is installing the hard to reach bolt on oilpump pickup but do not know where to go from here with it hopefully you are interested. or VIM

They didn't double it lol, they claimed 250 because back when the current stubby was released, it wasn't super common to state both tightening and loosening torque. The old one does 250-270 tightening and around 400 loosening. The new one will probably do 325-350 tightening and 550 loosening.

Just bought gen 2 m18 mid torque 1/2 last week right before I heard about this mf. I got the older stubby gen. I really want that one but the 100 extra ft lbs is the just in case reason I’m keeping it instead of returning to get new stubby.

If they have thin wall, stubby sockets, or allen sockets that’d be cool as i cant really find exactly what i need from amazon or ordering from a european centric site

Do y’all understand why the sanders are different? I am more into the woodworking side of things and plan to get the M18 5” sander with the vac-link. But it seems weird that the M12 sanders are 6”. Seems like the larger sander ought to take the larger battery. I guess it’s down to M12 being very popular for automotive?

You are 100% better off deleting the last 1/4 of the video. The average consumer buying tools from your website doesn't care/know about this 'drama.' Also, you spend ONE WHOLE HOUR researching! Wow, that truly is research! A few other relevant points about Koken tools 'from Japan.' 1) Yes, you can buy them for far less than what they're listed for in the USA. I have a lot of Koken tools and most of them I have bought from Japan, mostly through an exporter there (or simply go to Ebay or Amazon, which will probably only be slightly more). With the Yen being so weak right now, you can get most of the tools for roughly 1/2 what you will pay through a dealer like here. For example, you will find Koken Z-EAL 4285Z for $546.31 on Koken USA. I bought this set for about $300 usd. Now, as these guys say, if you buy from Koken Japan you cannot warranty the tools through Koken USA dealers (this is good info and I appreciate TechsChoice for addressing the warranty). Since I am paying roughly 1/2 price for the tools, I'm fine with not having the warranty. 2) Koken Japan has tools that I do not see through USA dealers. This will probably change eventually, or the USA dealers can probably order the Japan tool with the part number. 3) Koken USA through Palmac has foam kits that are unavailable at Koken USA or Japan. For example, Palmac's KO-1046-00-BL is a foam wobble set which I own. The foam is very high quality and actually MUCH better than the Koken USA/Japan foam. This seems particular to Palmac, as the Koken USA/Japan foam such as the above mentioned Koken Z-EAL 4285Z (available on Koken USA) has vastly inferior foam (e.g. the edges are not trimmed precisely, some uneven cutting in rounded areas).

Waiting for the stubby Gen 1 to go on sale and I’ll grab one.
