This happens to me all the time too! Been listening them heavy and seeing them live countless times for over 20 years, since the 9th grade and I STILL find new songs or live versions I’ve never heard! Ween has been so incredibly prolific. Hail Boognish my friend 🩵

That whole album has an extreme emotional connection to the band. If they put a song on the album that's attached to a negative situation, they will have relive that scenario every time it's played. That's my take.

@@teddy5236 You have successfully determined why it is hard for them to listen to songs that are already on the album, but we were talking about why they decided to cut the songs from the album and keep them as B-sides, and I don't think they chose to cut many of the songs on Caesar demos because of a negative emotional connection because the band already had negative emotions associated with the songs that ended up on Quebec... Do you understand?
I mean yeah a lot of these songs would mess with the flow, but like they could have swapped the fucked jam for something like love come down.
If you turn it up to 1.5X’s speed it actually sounds good, especially the guitar parts too I’m surprised.

Just looked it up and saw that Dois Rios and Quebec were both released in 2003. When you factor in the writing process and mastering, the songs were probably written in 2002 and they sound similar by coincidence
