Thank you for keeping the yarn destash honest. Its nice to see someone real. Also way to go knocking that number down in the updates! I did so good not buying yarn the first 5 months then June hit and I've bought over 20 things of yarn. (oops) Some for projects, some just because I thought they were pretty. I'm back on a yarnban though. *fingers crossed*

Don’t throw away the yellow yarn! You can use it as stuffing <3 Mix it in the middle of some fiberfill, it’s a great way to use up super short scraps or just ugly yarn that you can’t find another use for.

I’ve been good about only buying yarn for projects, but I’m always afraid of running out so once I finish projects I still usually have 1-2 skeins adding back to my stash 😅

I died when you said your yarn stash went up, because honestly, SAME. I've been destashing since the beginning of the year and I have not seen my stash go down either. I also didn't finish many pieces and once I opened packages of yarn I had stored away...the shelves were back to square one lol

Love the video because my de-stash went the same way😅 i knitted lots of garments but had to buy yarn, then I bought some more yarn to celebrate finishing 2-3 peojects and so on, and my eyes any progress is good progress no worries

Buying stuff is very tempting when you put a ban on buying. Same with eating candy. Don't be to hard on yourself and maybe change your rules to how it would work for you.

Yes, I have a yarn room and I love it. I like how you keep track of your yarn according too projects and thinking how you will use it. I bought yarn to create, donate projects, make gifts, all the possibilities. I have stopped buying just to keep my passion under control.

I did one in '21 to commemorate my now fiance's and my first year of dating. I did corner to corner so that it didn't get massive. Unfortunately it has been sitting in my repair pile for 2yrs since I didn't know how to tie off my colors properly till half way through. He has been asking about it so I need to fix it before winter comes lol. I have been thinking of doing another one but not yet sure what pattern to use though I know I want to try highs and lows next time. I like knitting, crochet, and quilting and love the idea of eventually having ones in all three mediums.

Hey Emma I know what you mean about the socks I'm currently making some crochet socks I've used this video and just doubled the stitches to suit the sock yarn as the video shows a DK weight. I'm also using 2 mm hook but I'm just making it up as I go 😂 So far so good maybe it'll be a good starter for you to do too 😊 xxxx I'll post the link in my next comment I need to find it 😊 xxxx

I'm knitting on a box of socks of all different patterns for my daughter's birthday in Dec. Crochet wise I've got the 'Blossom & Buds' crochet along blanket from Sirdar on the go. Not up to date with that though. Love all your makes and would love to see your progresses every month if you have time. 🤩

For the gift-I guessed an item of clothing before you said but not sure what...maybe a cardigan? I say blog it. Also, unrelated note, I love your necklace! My current projects are a blanket..I made two c2c squares, turned them like diamonds and then c2c some triangles in a different color to turn it into a rectangle. I just ordered more of the yarn I used to make the diamonds to make a boarder and bulk it out more. In the meantime I'm fiddling with my first hexi cardigan. I made the two sides, went to put them together and realized its too small and put it down for a while. So picking that up but I didn't remember what hook I used for it. I also just ordered some red, white and green yarn to make a Christmas blanket for my boss and his family. As for guessing the school, you told me over on insta when I guessed UF so I'm going to keep my mouth shut and not spoil it. lol
