I went to this school for high school summer school. These alarms were loud af and were in march time. I had to use earbuds to not knock out my ear drums.

Looks Like the system was set to Continuous by default But is that one part that is set to to code 3 a different section of this building or was it set that way. But it looks like for the most part the horns are Primarily set for Continuous it seems. Nice video per usual Man. This video reminds me of my days in school. Middle school had a Wheelock Setup(34t Horns with ZNS Strobes later down the line all with a 4010ES) initially the coding was Slow March Time with a old autocall panel from the 60's but the 34T's were from the 2000's. The strobes were added in 2016 as the system failed During A Routine drill. So it was upgraded, Panel and small NAC changes. Pulls were also upgraded to Simplex T Bar mounts. I missed the old coding option on our old panel. Very unusual coding it was set to back then. Sadly Due to Our odd Fire Code here in Chicago, The system Was Set to Continuous when the strobes were added a few years back They added a new building that is a addition to the academic building this year that Has Truealert Strobes and MT Horns for the NAC's with Notifier Pulls which is also set to continuous

0:16 These strobes are not synced and aren't NFPA compliant. I'd suggest the school to replace these with Wheelock RSS(s) since they have the option to sync together. Otherwise, nice video!

Once again, awesome video! Can't wait to see the August/September soon! When I was in middle school back in 2014-2016, my middle school had the same 9838 horns, but had a different light strobe plate. I will tell you, the system in my middle school is LOUD, as I like to characterize all 9838's. Sadly, with more and more schools renovating, so does old horns like these are getting replaced by these overrated TrueAlerts and "modern alarms".

When I was in school there were more bells and some of the old-fashioned buzzers. During fire drills they gave approximately 12 short rings followed by about a 10 second pause before they rang again.

It’s still dumb for them to just put a horn next to a strobe instead just a horn strobe

not only the horns this time are in continuous, but ngl when the alarms start at 0:03 it sounded like a sweet train horn

I do wish we had more TH-cams like you. As in they go to a school that has older style horns and record their fire drills. These older horns in schools everywhere are disappearing fast.
