Excellent tips! Thank you very much!
Shalanes "converstional pace" is sub 6. Crazy.
I am a runner....
Manchester Run 2017 10k Champion Dathan Ritzenhein
I want to know how many times a week should I do that. I'm running 5 times a week.
Thanks!
Thanks D.R..
Shalane is one of my running heros.
I cannot talk and run at the same time haha
Excelente Enlace. Mañana lo practicaré.
Going to try doing this several times a week if not every day other than my rest days. "The concept is that you want to make the distance runner look as much like a sprinter as much as possible because those are the most efficient running mechanics that there are" <~~~~~~BINGO
I like this, I normally do something like this, I recommend this to all athletes
ok. so from now on, just gatorade for breakfast and i'll be a pro. fuckin easy
formas ejercicios 40 metros para cada ejercicio 15 minutos total para todos los ejercicios ejercicios específico diseñado para desarrollar eficiencia de la forma de correr
Great tips!! I learned some new warm up drills in there...
Guy has a poor attitude and is hot tempered.
lol negativesplits06
loving the series, sound cut out on this one for me at 5:15, ive just started doing a scaled down version what you are doing now, ran my first half a couple of weeks ago and planned some races for next year, good stuff
Dathan Ritzenhein has been one of my favorite distance runners for years! He was in the all star high school era of Alan Webb and Ryan Hall and company.
Wouldn't you hate to be the guy running right behind him having to hold the camera for 26 miles?
I would drink a lot more Gatorade if they put out more youtube series like this. Gatorade marketers: please do a second season!
this is a dynamic WARMUP dathan ritzenhein is a fucking badass and has more pain endurance than 99.999 percent of people on this planet, when he was in high school he ran 110 miles a week
great stuff! really useful....
Hi! I'm Alyssa.I did -45 lbs last two months.Visit hawght.so
This is such a small but very important step in running. How about mile repeats with 2 1/2 minute rest in-between at 5 min pace? Also these elite runners go through intense weight training along with two runs a day. Plodding style? I dont think so.
Dathan is awesome!
And you're a try hard.
Sorry, the reply was intended for the MMA guy. Not sure how it got to you.
How dear, how simple minded.
How the heck did Ryan do a sub 5 hr half ironman, his swim looks really slow (45min pace) and he talks about his marathon PB of 3.20 and that during the end of the half ironman he was running 8.30 min miles. I think the 4.58 half ironman time seems off ?
Yeah, wow, Ryan is barely using any of his obvious strength, all due to really bad technique, swimming in particular.
Waheyy HD, good job !
That's why i love to hate cycling, the damn bike breaks !!
HD would have been great !
For endurance sports NUTRITION IS CRITICAL !!
These drills are designed for long distance runners.
im a longtime mma fan since the Pridefc days....some mma guys got good cardio but most of them gassed as early as the 1st round its pathetic....its a demanding sport but you guys should try what you call 1 dimensional skinny fit.....
skinny fit? can you run sub 4 in a mile? not trying to gain muscle in distance running...
It strikes me how very low intensity this training is compared to the stuff we do in MMA, for example intense bursts of crawling up hills, jumping, sprinting and so on with virtually no stops. This plodding style excrcise you guys do is kinda old fashioned 1 dimensional 'skinny' fit.
Richard Butler race me and we'll see
These are to improve your running technique, not the actual workout that endurance runners do.
such an amazing series!!!
Excellent and very informative video! Thumbs up if you watched the whole episodes:)
added to my playlist. this is funtastic thank you very much!
Congratulations bro!
god the quit bitching
guys kinda a poor sport
It's Gatorade that is making you suffer. Vomit and cramp ade
great info - keep it up Ryan!!
